Responsible for an effective business partnering function by working closely with business leaders to identify issues/opportunities and the people implications.
Develop strategies and action plans to support the execution in the regional business plan.
Drive the implementation and compliance to the Group HR Policy in the region.
Implement the HR Strategy for the Region as aligned to the Group HR Strategy
Monitor practices and align with the Group Policy and ensure compliance with legislative and industry agreements.
Work with Regional directors to drive effective human capital sourcing by ensuring the existence of accurate relevant regional manpower planning, succession plans and appropriate recruitment strategies.
Ensure mentorship programme that is fully compliant with localization administrative requirements is implemented at regional level.
Prepare and submit timeously compliant Workplace Skills Plans and Annual Training Reports to Group.
Forge mutually beneficial relations with the relevant Training Authorities and other relevant stakeholders in various Countries of the Region.
Effective management of all employee relation processes, including Unions/local councils as one of the stakeholders.
Ensure implementation, measurement, compliance, and achievement of the Group’s Transformation Strategy (EE, Skills Development and BBBEE).
Manage CSI programmes
Ensure the accuracy of employee information in the Group HR System to assist the region with business decisions.
Act as change manager by influencing and facilitating various change initiatives.
Represent the company at various in country Labour Institutions, CCMA and various Bargaining Councils where applicable
Ensuring legal compliance within the HR department
Labour relations – Managing Strike actions, Employee relations and Union negotiations
Monthly reporting to management
Group culture maintenance
Ensuring induction of all new employees are conducted and ensure Medicals are done in terms of group policy
Work closely with payroll ensuring smooth transition for new and seconded employees.
Responsible for the management and monitoring of learning and development, performance management, succession, and talent management processes.
Drive the implementation of employee engagement process.
Requirements:
Honours Degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
SABPP
10-12 years relevant experience, of which 5 years were in a middle HR management position.
Pension/Provident Fund regulations.
Job Evaluation & Profiling.
Understanding of Civil Engineering and Building Bargaining Councils.
Thorough knowledge, understanding and application of Human Resources best practices.
Display up to date, in depth knowledge of HR practices as well as company policies, processes and systems as well as extensive understanding of business and the company’s operations.
Extensive knowledge of the labour related legislation and its applications.
Extensive labour relations experience, with industrial action and strike management.
Remuneration practices.
Experience in dealing with Unions / Councils, etc.
