    Regional Marketing Manager

    Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Business / Marketing

    •  5 + years of relevant experience in a market related field.
    •  5 – 10 years’ management experience within mobile ecosystem and or FMCG.
    •  A strong background in marketing and/or advertising and/or in Fast Consumer Goods or Retailintensive industries.
    •  Deep understanding of shopper marketing.
    •  Experience in developing and executing customer marketing interventions.
    •  Indepth understanding of the telecommunications industry, FMCG and brown goods marketing principles.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    •  Lead the development and management of integrated GTM plans across all products, segments, services and channels on a rolling 3 to 6 month basis.
    •  Develop MultiTired GTM execution blue print which will allow internal stakeholders to clearly understand their commitments and extract maximum possible value from MTN in campaigns and sponsorship properties.
    •  Stays close to Customer, competitor and market developments to identify innovative product launch strategies and activities where transferred learning’s will benefit future launches.
    •  Alignment of all category GTM projects across MTN SA business. Including;
    •  Fit with overall marketing plans
    •  Fit with commercial objectives
    •  Alignment with Devices strategy
    •  Customer centricity
    •  Secure Region specific opportunities for differentiation and revenue generation from HO Commercial Teams to support the quarterly planning, based on insights (internal (CVM) and external sources) that is aligned with Segments, Sales, Customer Ops & Technology.
    •  Responsible for the formulation and delivery of regional GTM plans across all functions (CBU,EBU and Network) within their Region, ensuring that all elements of the marketing mix are aligned to relevant market segment and deliver against MTN’s strategic and commercial objectives.
    •  Delivery of core commercial objectives such as revenue growth, market share and Brand measures inclusive of NPS, Differentiation, CVM, and Acquisition.
    •  Support regional GM in integrating regional requirements into the 3 years Long Range Plan creation across MTN SA inclusive of Digital, Network & IT, S&D, CX functions.
    •  Driving inmarket execution leadership and ensure alignment of Regional Marketing activities with the overall MTN SA GTM plan.
    •  Lead the Regional engagement with Segments, Marketing, Pricing, Channel and GTM teams
    •  Monitor and report on competitive regional insights and collaborate with Segments, Marketing, Pricing, Channel and GTM teams to implement plans to remain competitive.
    •  Develop, manage and execute the Regional Marketing Branding, Events and Sponsorships and promotional plan and roadmap to drive Brand visibility, affinity and awareness across segments and regions.
    •  Liaise with Segments and Customer experience to continuously deepen Regional market and customer insights understanding.
    •  Analyse Regional market and performance trends and highlight areas that need attention and improvement
    •  Work with Segments, Service and Channel teams to support regional customer experience requirements through appropriate service support processes.
    • The role will be required to foster systematic engagement with all the key functions inside and outside of the CRO functions inclusive of CEO, CFO, CTO offices.

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Strategy Alignment & Implementation
    •  Ensure that key business objectives are met through providing leadership and guidance on effectiveness of inmarket interventions
    •  To integrate and drive synergies of all inmarket initiatives
    •  Ensure crossfunctional alignment and coordination between the Regional and HO Commercial teams.  Monitor performance as per set targets across various activities.

    Escalations

    •  Manage and resolve escalations that have impact on critical path of service delivery
    •   Escalate issues that will result in significant time, scope, and employee/client or cost impact if not resolved.
    •  Manage and provide solutions to issues that require formal resolution.
    • Consumer & Enterprise Business Operational
    •   Review and identify key risks, issues and dependencies and set mitigation actions.
    •   Manage and Deliver budgets.
    •   Signoff / make decisions regarding regional marketing operational changes.

    Performance

    •   Review performance against agreed Key Performance Indicators.

    Reporting

    •    Report on a monthly basis to the Management relating to progress made within the region and in accordance with the measurement metrics set by the organization related to market execution.
    •   Highlight any significant deviations from defined performance metrics.

    Budgets

    •   Establish and Manage Regional Marketing Budgets.
    •  Ensure that costs are maintained within defined parameters.
    •  Review effectiveness of value extraction initiatives and market impact.
    •  Manage project initiative budgets in line with business objectives.
    • Customer Experience
    •  Continuously improve gotomarket plans and activities to meet customer expectations and improve customer satisfaction.
    • Operational Delivery
    •  Define and deliver end to end GTM for all products and services.
    •  Lead regiona cross functional teams, able to champion marketing requirements into the business and contribute to future product roadmaps.
    •  Ensure alignment of all category GTM projects across MTN SA business. Including;
    •  Fit with overall marketing plans
    •  Fit with commercial objectives
    •  Alignment with Regional strategy
    •  Customer centricity
    •  Development of all required briefings & planning summary documents associated with GTM, including status updates, Risks and next steps.
    • Collaboration / Coordination
    •  Collaborate with other functional heads to enhance key elements of the Regional Marketing Plans;
    •  Collaborate with HO Commercial Teams to add and / or modify market execution plans
