    Sales Operations Manager - Cape Town

    Role summary:

    We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Operations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimising internal sales processes to drive efficiency, productivity, and revenue growth. The Sales Operations Manager will play a key role in streamlining workflows, implementing best practices, and ensuring the seamless execution of sales initiatives.

    The Sales Operations Manager will be responsible for the Inside Sales Team, will join the Digital Transformation team to assist in driving automation, and will manage the Skills development of the Sales staff.

    Daily Responsibilities:

    Management of Inside Sales Team:

    • Leadership position in mentoring and growing Inside Sales Team focusing on Consumer and Small Office Home Office (SoHo).
    • Hiring and recruiting of Inside Sales team members as required, and managing personal development plans to grow team members, with the assistance of Customer Success Supervisor.
    • Sales Performance Analysis:
      • Implementing necessary data tools and reporting to assess sales performance and identifying areas for improvement, across Business Development and Inside Sales teams.
      • Generate reports and KPI dashboards to provide insights into key performance indicators across Business Development and Inside Sales teams.
      • Work closely with Inside Sales Team to understand challenges and implement strategies to enhance overall performance.

    Process Optimisation:

    • Evaluate and enhance existing internal sales processes to increase efficiency and productivity, using business process tools like Visio to document agreed processes which get added to backlog for team trainings.
    • Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to streamline workflows.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardise processes and ensure consistency across the organisation.
    • Proficient in the ability to understand the ESET offering across all segments which will be key in translating process requirements.

    Automation Requirements:

    • Assess, implement, and optimise sales technologies to support internal processes, focusing on customer lifecycle optimisation.
    • Implement and manage CRM tools to maximise opportunities and customer relationships.
    • Collaborate with IT to ensure seamless integration of sales tools and platforms.
    • Manage training and support to sales teams on the effective use of technology tools, with the assistance of the Customer Success Supervisor.

    Sales Targets and Planning:

    • Responsible for growing revenue in Consumer and Small Office Home Office (SOHO) sales, through implementing process efficiency and automation where possible.
    • Develop and implement Marketing initiatives to drive retention and new business generation in both SoHo and Consumer segments.
    • Work with sales leadership to create actionable plans to achieve and exceed targets.

    Collaboration and Communication:

    • Foster strong communication channels between sales, marketing, finance, and other relevant departments.
    • Manage meeting agendas to update teams on process improvements, best practices, and changes in internal procedures.
    • Act as a liaison between sales and other departments to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
    • Educational qualifications/Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in sales operations (5 years+) in a managerial role.

    Requirements:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in using CRM systems and other sales-related technologies.
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
    • Results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
