Current registration with the Health Professions Council or similar Professional body for Non-EHP Professionals
At least 5 years relevant experience
A valid Code 08 (B) driver’s licence
Peace Officer Certificate
Recognised Environmental Management Inspector Qualification would be an advantage
Key Performance Areas:
Administer the process of Atmospheric Emission Licensing applications to ensure compliance with the relevant legislation and protection of the environment and public health
Investigate, evaluate and comment on environmental impact assessments, specialist atmospheric impact report studies and atmospheric emission licence applications and recommend mitigation measures
Recommend approval of fuel burning appliances
Recommend approval of open burning applications
Investigate and evaluate diverse complaints
Enforce the National Environment Management: Air Quality Act of 2004 and City of Cape Town Air Quality Management Bylaw 2016
Compile, develop, modify, plan, validate and maintain an atmospheric emissions inventory database
