    Senior Manager – Regional Operations MENA (06 Months Rotation)

    Mission/ Core purpose of the Job:
    The Senior Manager Regional Operations is responsible for ensuring Commercial and Operations alignment across the region, through driving good governance and the delivery of key regional strategic objectives. The role is responsible for the consolidation and implementation of regional strategic initiatives, projects and processes that support the achievement of commercial and operational targets, under direction from the General Manager.

    This is a short term secondment (6 Months Rotation) and not a permanent role. Only Internal Candidates
    Key Job Responsibilities
    Operational Commercial Business Plan Alignment
    – Align OpCo plans with regional strategy.
    – Ensure commercial business plan alignment with group virtual team per region.
    – Provide direction and insight to OpCo Commercial/ GTM strategies. (Communication, pricing, product, channel, business case, launch plan, customer experience) in the region.
    – Define requirements for business operations capabilities and measurement
    – Define business performance process and matrix for OpCo cluster.
    – Define requirements for business operations capabilities and measurement

    Operational Monitoring and Reporting
    – Monitor regional compliance with regulatory requirements.
    – Report on commercial business performance targets and standards.
    – Best practice sharing on commercial revenue model, product, pricing, customer experience methodologies and toolkits.
    – Develop Regional business governance structures.
    – Report on innovative commercial opportunities.
    – Report on commercial operational efficiencies and weaknesses

    Operational Delivery
    – Implement regional group strategic initiatives
    – Execute commercial plans per region ensuring alignment across virtual group teams.
    – Participation in in-country consolidation of business plans.
    – Implementation of transactions which will support overall customer value creation and stakeholder management with existing operation

    – Drive synergies and provide guidance to the Opco CEOs, ensuring best practice sharing and innovation across the region
    – Operationalise best practice and knowledge sharing framework.
    – Support formalisation of Innovative Framework in conjunction with OpCo cluster consumer division and best practice and knowledge sharing process.
    – Aim to cooperate and exchange best practices to capture the new industry opportunities.
    – Oversee the implementation of Group-wide strategic initiatives for the regions

    Operational Meetings
    – Initiate and hold operational meetings to ensure relevant participation and provide direction for the various discussions.
    – Review feedback from Monthly/Quarterly Review Meetings.
    – Manage & coordinate the consumer project initiatives for various stakeholders within the OpCo cluster regions.
    – Drive adequate risk mitigation and controls
    – Ensure Approval on new initiatives
    – Obtain authorisation for proposals on change initiatives
    – Evaluate areas of improvement across people, process and technology

    Escalations
    – Manage and resolve issues that will result in severe time, scope, productivity and cost or resource impact
    – Resolve and provide guidance to issues escalated

    Performance
    – Monitor and ensure alignment with OpCo cluster regional strategy and per industry best practices
    – Evaluate and provide guidance to the Consumer, Technology, Infrastructure plans and OpCo execution for continuous improvement per region.

    Budgets
    – Oversee the Consumer Business budgets in line with the set DOAs, business objectives and provide insights into forecasting
    – Oversee project initiative budgets in line with the specified delegation of authorities and approvals
    Job Specifications/ Minimum & Preferred Requirements
    Education / Business Degree

    • 4 year Academic Degree
    • Post graduate qualification (MBA/Masters)
    • English, French and Arabic (as advantage)

    Work Experience

    • Minimum 5 years Management Experience
    • Minimum 5 years in sector industry
    • Work across diverse cultures and geographies
    • Proven track record of operations management in multinational company

    Any other specifications

    • Proven track record of technical and specialized know-how around operational business plan formulation
    • Abreast of global mindset & best practices.
    • Understand and conduct business KPI analysis.
    • Attitude of Innovation & Leadership
    • Pan Africa multi-cultural experience
    • Multi-country business oversight experience
    • Willing and flexible to travel within Africa and Middle East
