Post Graduate legal or planning Degree in the Environmental, Conservation, Marine, Coastal and Oceanography fields is advantageous.
5 - 8 years relevant legal experience required at appropriate level
Experience in Environmental or Coastal management, Ocean Governance and Public and Administration advantageous
A valid Code B driver’s licence
Computer literacy: MS Office
Key Performance Areas
Support, provide technical input and facilitate the development and implementation of coastal management policies, strategies, by-laws, and regulatory instruments to strengthen the City’s coastal governance framework, promoting institutional compliance with applicable environmental legislation, and provide advice on matters relating to coastal liability and associated legal risks, to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
