SOC Engineer at Datacentrix

The Role

Datacentrix is looking for a SOC Engineer with +4 years of experience in a security operations role.

Responsibilities:

• The Soc Engineer’s role is maintaining security monitoring tools and investigating suspicious activities. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software, hardware, and associated operating systems.
• The Soc Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.
• Responsible for the co-ordination, installation, configuration, programming, and implementation of releases, upgrades, or changes to multiple system hardware and software architectures (McAfee AV Products & Trend Micro AV), and the range of products and productivity tools that support the development and production environments within the enterprise. 
• Makes decisions in the areas of performance analysis, problem-solving, and infrastructure planning, with the potential to affect the successful execution of business transactions. Ensures a stable performance environment for the business processing system. 
• Participates in various IT projects intended to continually improve/upgrade the system security infrastructure, ensuring change management procedures and methodologies are implemented and followed.

• Matric
• Degree/Dipl/Certificate/
• Security+ Certificate
• CISSP certificate
• McAfee - ePO Product Specialist Certification
• McAfee – Product Specialist Certifications
• Trend Micro – Apex One Certification
• Trend Micro – Apex Central Certification
• Cybereason – Analyst, Deployment, and Administration
• Experience working with application security vulnerabilities and technologies is required
• +4 years’ experience working in a security operations role is desired.
• Network Security background.
• Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) knowledge.
• 2 years of experience in Vulnerabilities and remediation knowledge.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory Services.
• Experience with DNS and DNS security.
• Cybereason product knowledge(Malops).
• McAfee Product knowledge
• Trend Micro Product knowledge
