Job Purpose and Impact
The Sourcing Specialist will participate in handling a supplier base and fulfill transactions delivering commodities that meet production requirements and specifications in terms of timing, volume, quantity, and cost. Analytical interest/skills are important, as this person will support on the contracting, reporting and data/analytics side aspects – where creativity, curiosity and a sense of challenging the existing can be a big plus. In this role, you will support local sourcing leads in our three MEA entities: in Jordan, Turkey, and South Africa, gaining exposure to the sourcing, and more general business dynamics in those three locations. We seek a professional who will help source raw materials mainly across the micro (amino acid, vitamin, minerals, specialties etc.) space, and help implement the sourcing game plans /strategies in each location.
Key Accountabilities
Support our local leaders in the sourcing of raw materials to help our plants in the region operate
Collaborate with transportation and logistics, quality assurance, customer managers and finance to ensure efficient execution and resolve routine problems.
Help plan purchases and align with supply chain colleagues to maximize profitable use of capital, stock and storage facilities.
Enter most routine data and run specialty reports from our contract management databases and systems.
Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to the right teammates.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Engineering / Science (eg. Mathematics), Business, Animal Nutrition or related
Advanced knowledge of Excel and good at analytical thinking
1-2 years of experience in trading, procurement, and risk management
Agriculture sector experiencence
Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation skills, and genuine team player.
Preffered Qualifications
SAP knowledge is a plus
Eager to learn and open for new challenges
