Voice Picker at Measured Ability Group of Companies

• An opportunity is available for a skilled Warehouse Assistant to perform specialised duties within a busy Distribution Centre. This role includes responsibilities such as quality control, picking, and pallet building, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in line with operational standards.

Key Responsibilities
Distribution & Picking

• Accurately receive and follow picking instructions via voice picking (Talkman) system
• Select correct SKUs according to system-generated instructions
• Ensure high levels of picking accuracy at all times
• Report empty locations or stock shortages to Supervisor or Team Leader
• Select appropriate cartons to prevent stock damage
• Ensure all cartons comply with packaging standards
• Request or select new cartons as required
• Load completed cartons onto the distribution belt for sealing

Equipment Handling

• Handle voice picking (Talkman) equipment with care and according to operational standards

Reporting & Performance

• Maintain productivity in line with hourly picking targets
• Contribute to reporting processes including pick reports and stock discrepancy reports
• Support accurate stock control by identifying and reporting faults or shortages

Minimum Requirements
Education:

• Minimum Grade 10

Experience:

• Must have previous voice picking (Talkman) experience
• Previous warehouse, picking, or distribution experience required

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow system-driven instructions
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with a proactive attitude
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills

Physical Requirements

• Physically fit and able to work long hours
• Ability to lift and move stock as required
• Good eyesight to read and identify SKUs accurately
