Warehouse Coordinator at Deli Spices (Pty) Ltd

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

• Main purpose of the job is to manage, control and oversee all stocks, materials, systems, processes and procedures in the Reject and Consumable Warehouses, manage and oversee the site wide material/product disposal and factory pallet yard and pallet damage returns. Responsible, in coordination with production, to manage distribution center returns and assist with the decanting process.

JOB FUNCTION:

FINANCE

• Drive cost reduction whilst optimizing resources and meeting resource requirements continuously.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

• Manage all aspects of the Distribution Centre Returns process as per Company procedures

PROCESS

• Ensure product and consumables received in full and in good order from internal departments, suppliers, and customers
• Ensure products and consumables received, stored, handled and issued according to system and process policies and procedures
• Manage all aspects of the Distribution Centre and Pallet Damage Returns process as per Company procedures
• Manage all aspects of the disposal and yard pallet sorting and pallet damage returns processes according to Company procedures
• Oversee and manage all aspects of the Reject and Consumable Warehouses
• Accurate Stock Control through cycle counts, FIFO principles and procedures, SYSPRO/WMS transactions
• Drive Quality, Environmental Awareness, Safety, Security and Health in the workplace whilst assessing Risks continuously

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS LEVEL:

• Matric and a minimum 3–5-year warehousing/picking experience within the Food Manufacturing/ Processing/Warehousing Environment or equivalent experience. Experience in the Spice industry will be advantageous.
• Good working Knowledge of SYSPRO and WMS systems
• Valid Forklift Drivers Licence (Reach and Counterbalance)
• Good knowledge and experience of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), FSSC, ISO standards and related in a regulated environment (e.g., Food Industry).
• Focused on delivering Quality products on time and in full within a regulated food environment.
