Agronomy at Yara International

Yara South Africa has a vacancy for a Research & Development Agronomist to apply agronomic knowledge skills and behaviors to support the sales and marketing teams achieve their commercial goals by helping to differentiate and develop the pull for Yara's Crop Nutrition solutions by ensuring customers obtain the maximum value from the solution.
This position will be based in the Ceres Area of the Western Cape.

Responsibilities
Agronomic Support

• Integrate specialized knowledge of Plant Nutrition, Crop production and Soil Science to pro-actively act on market needs and technical advances
• Provide excellent plant nutritional service, advice and support to sales force
• Do plant nutritional recommendations in terms of products, quantities, application and timing based on soil/tissue analysis
• Farm visits and field inspections and Agronomic training

Research and Development

• New Product Identification, Product development and improvement
• Pro actively evaluate products and plant nutrition investigations
• Prepare trial protocols, trial execution and data processing as well as drafting of reports
• Interaction with relevant research Institutions

Marketing and Operational support

• Support sales force to increase sales of these productsMarketing/promoting of Yara OPP products (YaraMila, YaraBela, YaraVera, YaraVita, YaraLiva and YaraRega)
• Promote the use of Yara Tools (N-tester, Check-it, Tank mix etc)
