    Technical Advisor: Clinical - Johannesburg

    Minimum qualifications and experience:

    • Tertiary qualification (Degree) in a health-related field
    • Registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council
    • Clinical Assessment Treatment & Care (Nurse Clinician)
    • NIMART trained and certified competency
    • Certificate in PC 101/Adult Primary Care and IMCI
    • Quality Improvement Advisor Course or other training in QI methodologies

    Data Capturer - Ermelo

    Job Description

    We are looking to appoint a Data Capturer at the Health4Men (MSM Project) at Gert Sibande to provide support in carrying out data-related admin work, capture patient’s files, generate defaulter reports and compile monthly statistics.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Data Capturing

    • Capture data (on a daily basis) of information acquired from all registers.
    • Ensure that the information provided is credible and that there are no duplications.
    • Ensure confidentially of patient files and information.
    • Capture data completely, accurately and as prescribed.
    • Provide updates and training on data capturing systems.  
    • Accurately enter M&E data in the provided systems such Tier.net or any systems provided either by Anova or stakeholder.
    • Participate in on-going data management training.

    Data Quality Assurance

    • Assist the M & E Officer with quality management procedures.

    Professional Nurse - Cape Town

    Job Description

We are looking for a Professional Nurse to support the initiation of HIV-infected clients on ART, PrEP, STI treatment and ensure full implementation of the 95 95 95 activities.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Champion the Anova 95-95-95 in-facility activities by leading the facility meetings and supporting weekly data review, monitor attendance and liaise between Anova and the facility
    • Work with the outreach teams to get referrals and to initiate ART for eligible HIV infected clients including PrEP
    • Provide follow up care for patients on treatment in line with DoH HIV Management guidelines as well as Anova work plan and Facility 90-90-90 plans
    • Routinely monitor performance & registers of (TB/HIV/STI) programmes at facility level and provide mentorship & technical support where required
    • Identify poor performing indicators, put together quality improvement (QI) plans and implement as agreed upon with the facility team
    • Identify training needs at facility level and arrange in-service training where needed
    • Train clinic staff on MSM Diversity trainer and biomedical training and mentor staff at facilities
    • Use relevant M&E tools to report weekly to Anova sub-district team on number of clients initiated on ART and TPT
    • Support facilities with the implementation of I-ACT support groups and Chronic treatment clubs in line with Anova’s work plan
    • Attend weekly multi-disciplinary meeting

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

    • A degree or diploma qualification as a Professional Nurse
    • Registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council
    • Western Cape NIMART trained and certified as competent to work independently
    • At least 4 years’ experience in working at a clinic (PHC or CHC) facility
    • At least 2 years NIMART experience
    • Familiar with latest HIV Management, PrEP, STI and TB and guidelines
    • PHC Qualification is advantageous

    Linkage Officer - Polokwane

    Job Description

    We are looking to appoint a Linkage Officer to link all MSM clients referred to care guided by the 95-95-95 strategies.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Linkage to care

    • Ensure that all clients tested HIV-positive are followed up and linked into care
    • Keep a record and cohort of how many are initiated on antiretroviral therapy (ART)
    • Link all clients referred for PrEP, TB and STI
    • Link clients to other psycho-social services

    Health Education

    • Effectively provide health education to clients about HIV, ARVs, Adherence to ART, STI prevention, Prep and Index testing
    • Distribution of IEC material and Condoms
    • Demonstrate condom and Lubricant use

    HTS (HIV testing services) & other HIV related support activities

    • Provide HTS counselling and testing
    • Contact the negative cohort and facilitate HTS to the Negative cohort
    • Contact and facilitate HTS to Index partners
    • Promoting and performing HTS to the target group

    Human Rights and Advocacy Reactor - Polokwane

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Anti- Stigma & Discrimination Campaigns, Community Dialogues, and Promotion of Legal Literacy and Addressing Structural Barriers towards accessibility to healthcare services;

    • Maintain and support the human rights components of the Men who have sex with other men, and as Key Population in Global Fund/BZ supported districts.
    • Play a vital role in ensuring functional integration of human rights interventions through systematic referral systems between communities, health facilities, law firms, SAPS, Thuthuzela Care Centres and local service providers.
    • Conduct Advocacy Issue identification events working with the MSM Community
    • Assist in the development and implementation of action plans to address prioritised advocacy issues
    • Identification of Human Rights violation cases
    • Support linkage to care of key and vulnerable populations, especially the LGBTI community.
    • Mobilize participants for focus group discussions/creative spaces/Community Dialogues for MSM

    Programme Administrator - Polokwane

    Job Description

    We are looking for a Programme Administrator to coordinate and support the office of the Chief of Party, manage schedule, selected communication, certain resources, information and provide administrative support directly to the Chief of Party, Programme Manager & Deputy Programme Manager.

    Key duties and responsibilities
    Administration

    • Assist in consolidation & preparations of routine reports, presentations, editing and proof-reading documents prior to submission
    • Schedule routine internal meetings with the Capricorn district management team, TAs and relevant head office teams. Send out relevant communication and coordinate all logistics and admin related to these
    • Take minutes of all meetings attended and keep record thereof; share these with relevant stakeholders
    • Compile consolidated databases of Anova Capricorn contact list, staff allocation, implementation coverage at sites etc. as requested by Chief of Party, Programme Manager & Deputy Programme Manager
    • Create and maintain database of induction and orientation information for the Anova Capricorn 
    • Support the Chief of Party, Programme Manager & Deputy Programme Manager in all areas of administration
    • Ensure that all project related documents are maintained in accordance with Anova’s standard filing system
    • Adhoc administration as requested by the Chief of Party, Programme Manager & Deputy Programme Manager

      Stakeholder relations

    • Receive and welcome visitors for the Chief of Party, Programme Manager & Deputy programme manager
    • Coordinate workshops/trainings/meetings/functions with various individuals and/or organisations both internally and externally from time to time
    • Adhoc procurement of equipment & other resources and follow up on orders
    • Arrange for payment of suppliers
    • Manage the filing of purchase orders and tax invoices

     Communication

    • Handle correspondence (physical and electronic) to the office of the Chief of Party, Programme Manager & Deputy Programme Manager
    • Establish and maintain effective and efficient communication with all stakeholders, including administrative and professional staff throughout the project
    • Take minutes during meetings and keep record thereof
    • Distribute minutes of the meetings to all relevant stakeholders and keep record thereof
    • Schedule regular meetings and record decisions (e.g. assigned tasks and next steps)
    • Break projects into doable tasks and set timeframes and goals
    • Prepare and provide documentation to internal teams and key stakeholder
    • Act as the point of contact on behalf of Chief of Party, Programme Manager & Deputy Programme Manager

     General

    • Provide holistic support in overall project management admin functions
    • Order resources, e.g.  equipment and software
    • Retrieve necessary information (e.g. user/client requirements and relevant case studies)
    • Track expenses and predict future costs, as requested
    • Monitor project progress and address potential issues
    • Coordinate quality controls to ensure deliverables meet requirements
    • Ensure a clean, secure, well-maintained work environment
    • Engage in work travel as and when required

     Essential qualifications and experience

    • Matric + Diploma in Office Management or equivalent
    • Minimum of 3 years admin/project administration/secretarial work experience
    • Project management training or experience an advantage
    • Experience in funded programmes/projects an advantage, especially in Health or HIV/AIDS related sector
    • Excellent verbal or written communication skills

    Technical Advisor: Adolescent - Johannesburg

    Key duties and responsibilities

    • Oversee implementation of ANOVA’s APACE Psychosocial support (PSS) activities at facility level, inline with APACE strategy & workplan.
    • Oversee implementation of Youth care clubs to provide comprehensive HIV prevention, care and treatment, psychological/adherence support and SRHR services to adolescents, including distribution of pre-packed medication/ART.
    • Mentor and support Youth care club facilitator to provide psychosocial support through implementation of Youth Care Clubs
    • Promote PrEP and facilitate recruitment and enrolment of AGYW onto PrEP through engaging with various adolescent and youth organisations & facilities.
    • Provide training & mentorship to relevant staff (Internal & external staff) on key issues related to
    • Management of Adolescents living with HIV or at risk of contracting HIV (PrEP, psychosocial, Disclosure, Adherence support, AYFS etc.)
    • Responsible for coaching & mentoring ANOVA & DOH Auxiliary Workers, counsellors, HC’s and YCC’s on psychosocial support for PLHIV & enhanced adherence support.
    • Strengthen referral linkages within the health system, especially between health facilities and CBOs,in collaboration with ANOVA community team, other APACE team team members in ANOVA and DOH stakeholders such as school health nurses, Community Health Workers, nurses, and social workers.
    • Compile monthly, quarterly & adhoc reports on the programme implementation and progress.
    • Follow performance management process of Anova through timeous submission of all relevant documentation for line staff

    Essential qualifications and experience

    •  Degree in Social work, Social Science or relevant health related qualification.
    •  Registration with the relevant South African Council or Professional Body
    •  At least 2-5 years of experience working in Youth and/or HIV programmes, including supervising
    • Social Auxiliary workers or other junior staff
    •  Training in I-ACT and NAS (National Adherence Strategy) is advantageous
    •  Good presentation and excellent communication skills
    •  Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
    •  Good report writing skills
    •  Proficiency with MS Office

    Data Capturer - Greater Tzaneen Rural

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Capture patient’s information into all database platforms, e.g., Tier.net and other DoH database applications.
    • Carry out data quality assessment and audits with close guidance from M&E officer.
    • Conduct monthly data validations using prescribed tools on collected data from DHIS, Tier.net and TB modules/ETR.
    • Assist facility data capturers in populating run-chats for DIP elements.
    • Update tracing outcomes from CHWs and CLO on the defaulter-tracing tool
    • Coordinate and collect ad-hoc and routine weekly data from facilities by all Anova team members in the sub district.

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required:

    • Grade 12 (Matric).
    • Tertiary qualification will be an added advantage.

    • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

    • Excellent administrative and organizing skills.
