    Business Developer

    Job Summary
    Responsibilities:

    • Identify development markets within the existing market.
    • Work together with customers and members of staff in promoting Company values and ethics.
    • Get involved in all projects of the organization for the accomplishment of the company’s strategies and goals.
    • Ensure prompt reports to Management regarding customer’s response to Company’s products.
    • To attract new customers and to grow the business to become profitable.
    • To continuously find new customers and also to ensure that the existing customers requirements are being met.
    • Prepare a business plan to establish and grow the business.
    • To set up the business i.e., dealing with all legal requirements of setting up a business, finding a suitable site, employing of staff members, etc.


    Minimum Requirements:

    • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Management/Military Engineering
    • An MBA would be advantageous.
    • 5 years’ experience in a similar environment

    Supply Chain Manager (12 months fixed term contract)

    Job Summary
    Minimum Requirements:

    • Relevant degree in SCM or equivalent.
    • Minimum 5 years’ public sector procurement experience.
    • Public Finance and Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations and guidelines.
    • Knowledge of supply chain management framework Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act and its associated regulations.
    • Knowledge of Public Sector Supply Chain Management models and processes.
    • Service level agreements
    • Financial management
    • Corporate Governance
    • Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Ability to work in a pressurised environment to meet deadlines.


    Key Performance Areas:

    • Developing and maintaining documentation in support of key supplier and development initiatives.
    • Participate in and provide advice at Bid Specification meetings to ensure that SCM policies are complied with for tenders.
    • Receive tenders/proposals either through email or hard copy submitted tenders, implement the required tender receipt management process.
    • Conduct SCM compliance checking of contracts that have been awarded and contracts on the contracts register to ensure compliance with the SCM policy.
    • Maintain the contract register for tenders through updating register with all contract changes monthly.
    • Prepare a report highlighting the compliant and non-compliant submissions with explanations to the Bid Evaluation Committee
    • Provide advice in the development of Calls for Proposal to ensure that SCM policies and Regulations are complied with.
    • Develop and / or participate in the development of the supply chain strategy for the organization.
    • Conduct SCM compliance checking of contracts that have been awarded and contracts on the contracts register to ensure compliance with the SCM policy.
    • Maintain the contract register for tenders through updating register with all contract changes monthly.
    • Develop annual procurement plan with prioritization and resourcing.
    • Review submitted tenders/proposals for SCM compliance through checking submissions against the requirements defined in the Terms of Reference or Calls for Proposal.
    • Vendor system management
    • Monitor scheduling and convening of Bid Evaluation Committee and Identifying key participants and distributing relevant materials.
    • Minute the Bid Evaluation Committee meeting through capturing the key aspects of the evaluation discussion.
    • Provide advice on compliance and SCM related matters as required at the Bid Evaluation Committee meeting
    • Bid Adjudication Management
    • Apply the BEE and Pricing formula (PPPFA) to the tenderers that meet the Bid Evaluation assessment criteria and identify the highest rated tenders.
    • Monitor and review preparation of tender packs for the Bid Adjudication Committee
    • Oversee organization wide management of the strategic sourcing, procurement, contracting, and evaluation of services.
    • Manage and / or execute procurement related functions (e.g., develop and implement contract management and procurement frameworks, sourcing strategies, manage contracts, etc.)

    Production Manager

    Job Summary
    Key performance Areas:

    • Assume responsibility for proper failure prevention strategies of production equipment and facilities
    • Take necessary action to eliminate delays ensuring adherence to production and shipping schedules, including prevention of deviations
    • Maintain compliance with company policies, cGMP’s, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices, ensuring no product recalls
    • Advise department management on matters relating to daily operations and makes recommendations for improvements when feasible
    • Setting and evaluation of KPI’s for department and team members
    • Audit own performance and recommend own objectives and standards of performance
    • Ensure and Maintain high levels of performance
    • Review, perform/ensure investigations are done effectively and in a timely manner.
    • Provide positive and motivating example for employees
    • Investigate and take appropriate action related to product/process variations
    • Develop department employees through orientation, training, establishment of objectives, communication of rules and policies, while building employee morale and motivation.
    • Evaluate performance and production of staff; maintains records of performance.
    • Develops information and compiles reports concerning scheduling, production goals, equipment and maintenance problems and other studies or reports as requested
    • Assumes legal responsibility in terms of the OHS Act for the area
    • Operate within and meet Budget requirements
    • Maintain Budgeted or Better Recovery to Expense Ration
    • Work in a team environment with other department management to coordinate a production schedule to achieve required deadlines, objectives and budgets
    • Conducts continuous review and follow-up on projects to ensure completion of assigned work.
    • Advise department management on matters relating to daily operations and makes recommendations for improvements when feasible
    • Setting and evaluation of KPI’s for department and team members

    • Ensure adequate resources are available to manufacture product (equipment, supplies, and labour)

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Production Management/Industrial/Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or Pharmacy or Equivalent
    • Registered with South African Pharmacy Council
    • 5 – 6 years’ management experience in the Manufacturing and Packaging Environment
    • Formal training and/or experience in a recognized Quality Management System(s) and/or exposure in a Good Manufacturing Practices environment
    • Proven Leadership skills
    • Proven communication and employee relations skills required
    • Excellent computer skills
    • LEAN or Six-Sigma background would be advantageous
