    Junior Graphic Designer 1

    Position Summary:

    The Junior Graphic Designer will support the delivery of the Africa market leadership strategy and business objectives through creative design that accurately reflects the firm’s brand and corporate identity. The Junior Graphic Designer role is within the EY Markets and Business Development function. The preferred candidate will have a proven track record of high quality design work, be an effective communicator, demonstrate ongoing design innovation and implement high-level design problem-solving. The candidate will form part of the Creative Services team and be required to assist in the production of visual solutions and creative design concepts that meet the needs of both external and internal clients. The Candidate will work from briefs to understand the user needs and interpret concepts and ideas into visual material that meet EY’s style and quality standards.

    Key responsibilities

    • Conceptualise and design branding materials, such as brochures, placemats, illustrations, layouts, infographics, on-screen presentations, conceptual design, proposals, social media collaterals and editing video footage
    • Study information and materials to plan concepts for design and prepare rough drafts of materials based on the brief
    • Adhere to EY brand guidelines, meet and exceed defined expectations in terms of aesthetics, quality, turnaround time and efficiency
    • Familiar with the latest design trends and advocate the same to team members and customers
    • To work collaboratively with the team and internal project leads
    • Prioritise deadlines and effectively manage multiple creative projects parallelly
    • Communicate effectively with clients while understanding design briefs and sharing ideas
    • Provide unique and innovative design solutions to customers and convince them to make the right design choices
    • Be responsive to clients on calls and emails
    • Be a part and contribute towards various organisational initiatives
    • Proactively contribute to the firm’s culture of high performance teaming.

    Experience Requirements

    • Minimum 2+ years of experience, preferably within an agency
    • Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Graphic Design
    • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, After Effects and Premiere Pro (Web Authoring and Photography will be an advantage)

    Associate 2: Enterprise Risk (Internal Audit)

    Job purpose

    As Associate 2in Enterprise Risk (Internal Audit), you will make a significant technical contribution to client engagements and internal projects. Within your role, you will actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships.

    Working closely with colleagues, you will confirm whether the work plan is properly executed, documented and concluded in compliance with EY's guidelines..

    Your client responsibilities

    • Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress.
    • Assign and manage tasks with other team members considering engagement needs and identified business outcomes, and organize own work such that important items get done first.
    • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel.
    • Research client industry, company structure, key customers and suppliers and possible insight into operations and the various processes.
    • Manage own time in line with budgets
    • Preparing business process descriptions through interviews with the client and documenting understanding of business process and confirm the business process descriptions by performing a walkthrough of the process.
    • Identifying possible business risks and control weaknesses from the business processes under review.
    • Assist with drafting detailed audit programmes to test controls in place.
    • Assist with the assessment of the design of key controls and test operating effectiveness
    • Compilation of working papers substantiating scope and results of testing.
    • Display a logical thought process in understanding client challenges and exploring possible solutions.
    • Identify and escalate potential risks and issues to project manager along with suggested preventive or mitigating actions.
    • Assist with draft audit findings for review by EY Management.

    Technical skills requirements

    • Must have Honours in Internal Audit, Accounting, Business, Finance or other related field

    • Proficient in Microsoft office (including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).
