    Industrial Engineer

    About the Job

    A great new opportunity has opened up in our East London JIT Plant as Industrial Engineer.

    Key Duties Would Include

    • Ensure Effective process planning with the goa to maximize equipment and labour efficiencies
    • Coordinate and implement Engineering Change Request with minimal investment
    • Drive a culture of zero obsolescence due to engineering changes
    • Maintain Bills of Materials (BoM): and adhere BoM audit schedule
    • Resolves process related downtime and implement corrective and preventative measures
    • Develop PFMEA and maintain using APiS software
    • Develop and control Standard Work Instructions
    • Use BasicMost to drive motion studies with the aim to improve labour requirements
    • Complete International Material Data System (IMDS) submissions for all raw material changes
    • Ensure Control and availability of latest revision part drawings
    • Maintain plant layout drawings using AutoCad
    • Support plant with Process Audits
    • Be prepared to support plant with any lawful d-hoc activities within personal capacity and ability.

    Educational Requirements

    • National Diploma (or higher) in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering
    • 3-5 years working experience in the Automotive industry
    • Familiar with project management principles
    • Advanced computer literacy

    Special Requirements

    • Good interpersonal and communication skills
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Be able to work autonomously
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Package
    • Knowledge of the following systems would be advantageous:
    • lATF

    Customs & Freight Analyst

    About the job

    • A new position has opened up as Customs & Freight Analyst.

    Key Responsibility Areas Would Include

    • Assist and train planners with completion of clearing instructions
    • Analyze correctness of the freight invoice from the service provider.
    • Research Customs and Trade matters and provide solutions.
    • Rules of Origin and Free Trade Agreements e.g. EPA, AGOA, SACU, EU
    • Reconciliation and review of the Import duties general ledger accounts
    • Preparation and submission of status report of import duties to the CFO
    • Maintenance of the Tariff Headings in the parts master data database.
    • Ensuring compliance with EUR1 requirements both internally and externally
    • Compile information to enable the submission of duty drawback claims
    • Make Rebate determinations and newly approved rebate store
    • Review of SAD 500 to ensure compliance with the required legislation
    • Perform quarterly audits on the rebate stores
    • Liaise directly with SARS in resolving customs matters efficiently and timeously.
    • Understand and manage all APDP(Automotive Production Development Program) objectives and submissions to the customer on quarterly basis
    • Understand shipping INCO terms and respective clearing requirements both at origin and into South Africa
    • Understand freight rates and be able to produce an accurate freight forecast for all imported materials
    • Knowledge of processing preparation and submission of drawback claims, ITAC permits and any other permits that are required.
    • Reviewing of key business processes relating to import and export and recommending improvements (efficiency and cost savings)
    • SAPS dangerous goods permit (Class 1.4s)
    • Ensure efficient and effective document management (permits, applications, queries, drawback claims, etc)

    Educational Requirements

    • Minimum Matric (Grade 12) is essential. Purchasing & Logistics National Diploma or equivalent is advantageous.

    Related Experience

    • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role is essential.

    Special Requirements

    • Have knowledge of Customs requirements and standards.
    • Sound SAP system proficiency is advantageous.
    • Accuracy, attention to detail and good organisational skills.

    Inventory Controller

    About the Job

    A great new position has opened up in our East London JIT Plant as Inventory Controller reporting directly to our Logistics Manager.

    Key Duties Would Include

    • Compile the Quarterly Strat File
    • Adhere to Cycle Counting Schedule (as per the Strat) – daily
    • Daily updating of LOG dashboard (Value and Accuracy to schedule)
    • Daily reporting of result and actions
    • Report physical Inventory status & Measure counting performance
    • Report review on result and counts
    • Compile weekly overview and report back on activities/results (CC

    weekly meeting/SOX weekly meeting)

    • Root cause analysis of stock variances as per SOX guidelines
    • Coordinate & prepare and process stock adjustment relating to cycle

    counts

    • Coordinate the preparation and processing of adjustments
    • Coordinating W2W processes
    • Identify main root cause drivers and actions (daily counts and W2W)
    • Coordinate daily/weekly meetings presenting action plans to resolve

    problems

    • Record keeping of root cause, action plan and historical cycle counts
    • Perform any legal instructions given by Supervisor or Manager
    • Coordinating and Analysing Overtime work
    • Coordinate Change Management (ECR Process)

    Foreign Creditors Clerk

    About the Job

    We are looking for a Foreigh Creditors Clerk to join our team ,

    DAILY:

    Foreign creditors matched, processed and paid on time.

    • Receive documents from receiving clerk and file appropriately
    • Check to ensure all relevant documents are all attached ie. Bill of entry, GRN’s etc
    • Capture / match invoices accurately
    • Input Foreign documents information
    • Prepare reconciliations / remittance for weekly payments (Leap recons once a month)
    • Reconciling items followed up. Age Analysis cleared of old items
    • Email remittances sent to suppliers

    Processing of creditors on SAP ERP system.

    • Check invoices agree to Purchase Order and signed off by manager
    • Process invoice details
    • Match invoice to what has been GRN’d
    • Match invoice, purchase order and goods received note.
    • Invoices must be processed within five days from receiving vouchers to process.

    Receive PPV report from purchasing and follow up on differences.  Report on action items from PPV reports.

    WEEKLY:

    LEX PROCEDURE / CASH FLOW FORECAST

    Run all reports from system

    • Unmatched grn report and pull through to excel and gets split/sorted to when invoices are due for payment
    • Actual invoices already captured on excel spreadsheet
    • Advice notes not invoiced

    All the above information then get put on to summary LEX spreadsheet for LEX forecast weekly. Explanations given for differences from the previous forecast.

    PAYMENT RUNS

    • Prepare reconciliations/remittances for weekly payments
    • Handed over to banking clerk to be checked and posted to cashbook for paymen

    MONTHLY :

    •  All accruals submitted accurately and on time
    •  Month end submitted on time
    •  Filing off processed documents once paid and signed off
    •  Clear aged items over 60 days
    •  Month end IC balances confirmations

    OTHER :

    • Assist other creditor clerks if the need arises

    Requirements / Qualifications:

    • Matric with mathematics;
    • Computer skills – Word, Outlook, Excel, and SAP;
    • Previous work experience as creditors clerk
