    Assistant: Transport Technical - Mthatha

    Purpose of the job:     

    • Responsibility of maintaining and inspecting transport vehicles effectively, carry out running repairs, breakdowns and assist transport administrator with related administrative duties.

    Qualification Requirements    
    Qualification/Experience:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Valid code 10 driver’s licence with PrDP required

    Other Requirements:

    • Pressurised environment, required to work outside of normal working hours (after hours and over time)
    • 6-day position including Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays as per shift roster

    Experience Requirements    
    Experience:

    • 3-4 years' experience as the workshop assistant.
    • Commercial Vehicle mechanical related experience essential.
    • Auto-electrical experience (advantageous)

    • Ensuring that Health & Safety practices are always adhered to.
    • On job training when required.
    • Any day to day transport related Adhoc duties.

    Technician: IT & Firewalls - Midrand

    • This position is responsible for providing Firewall support and IT Technical Support to our end-users.

    Qualification Requirements    

    • Fortinet NSE 6
    • Matric / Grade 12
    • MCITP or equivalent

    Experience Requirements    

    • FMCG environment experience - 2 Years
    • Configuring and managing Fortinet firewalls - 3 Years
    • Experience in customer service required - 2 Years
    • Experience using Microsoft Business Solutions - 5 Years

    Key Outputs    

    • Firewall Support: Configuring, monitoring, analysing, and resolving issues on Fortinet firewalls.
    • Desktop Support: Assisting users with general desktop support and application issues.
    • Call Centre Liaison: Handling calls logged at the call centre for that region. Ownership of the call from logging to closure.
    • Initial Printer Support: Ensuring that printer issues are not desktop related before escalation.
    • Site Server Control and Support: Management and backup of the servers on site.  Initial trouble shooting before escalation.
    • Procurement & Supplier liaison: Ordering and configuration of machines through Premier Foods’ central procurement manager.
    • Asset Inventory Management: Management of assets including tracking, disposure, control, and Fixed Assets register updates.
    • Biometrics support: Initial support of the biometrics systems before escalation.
    • Network Management: Ensuring proper business usage of the network.  Logging calls with the cabling supplier for installation as well as break and fix management of network points.
    • WAN Management: Ensuring proper business usage of the WAN.  Ensure calls are logged with the network provider for all line issues.
    • PABX and TMS Management: Initial support of the onsite PABX and telephone management system before escalation to the PABX provider.
    • Active Directory and Exchange control: Managing and creating user accounts and hierarchies in active directory and exchange.
    • Monitoring and Measurement reporting: Reporting to the IT manager and Infrastructure manager relevant statistics to ensure proper site IT operation within guidelines.
    • Desktop and Server Backup Cont: Ensuring all user documents and server applications are backed up within guidelines defined by the infrastructure manager.
