    Cell Manager Maintenance (Packaging)

    KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

     Safety

    • Develop and implement, Safety Health and environment strategies in the department.
    • Improve the overall Safety audit score (WISE) year on year.
    • Foster a climate and culture where Safety, Health and Environment are addressed effectively and speedily
    • Ensure that all government and statutory requirements are complied with and that the health and safety standards of the factory area are in accordance with Company policies.
    • Implement LOTO measures.

    Food Safety and Quality

    • Ensure adherence to Food Safety and Quality principles as included in the policies, procedures, product specifications and processes. This also includes general Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene practices.
    • Identify and report any potential Food Safety & Quality and GMP deviations and hazards.

    Cost

    • Deliver the required savings year on year and continuously identify opportunities to save costs.
    • Reduce and manage spare parts consumptions.

    Delivery

    •  Proactively implement maintenance plan with the Maintenance Planner.
    • Improve on processes for maintenance of the factory
    • Ensure the maintenance plan is available in advance.
    • Liaise with stores to ensure that all spare parts are available to execute the maintenance plan.
    • Report preventative maintenance plan efficiency for processing, utilities and buildings
    • Measure TD per line.
    • Ensure accurate PSG and action plans are in place to ensure of goals
    • Communicate with Maintenance Planner to implement the maintenance plan on a daily basis to ensure the effectiveness of maintenance within the factory and the buildings.
    • Implementing projects and continuous improvement.  Such as   R &D project which include, new packaging and interventions.
    • Supporting and executing capital projects.
    • Set up a list of potential improvement opportunities and rate their effectiveness according to their cost and quality.

     Morale

    • Drive talent management and succession planning of the Technical department
    • Identify and implement training and development interventions
    • Great a high performance and engaged teams
    • Direct, manage and coach subordinate staff and ensure that the Technical function is staffed with appropriately qualified and experienced staff.
    • Approve the selection, compensation and promotion of employees that are directly supervised.

    Senior Millwright - JHB

    KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

    Quality

    • Ensure adherence to quality standards, procedures, policies and practices
    • Ensure that all breakdowns and preventative maintenance and/or scheduled maintenance activities are carried out to high standards of workmanship
    • Adhere to HACCP and CIP protocols
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with housekeeping standards: ensure that work areas and machinery is kept clean at all times
    • 100 % adherence to all DPM’s for allocated area

    Costs

    • Ensure that breakdowns are attended to timeously, thereby reducing production downtime.
    • Minimize stoppages and increase plant availability by implementing plant maintenance strategies.
    • Ensure that maintenance tasks are executed within budget (i.e., reduce spare parts consumption where possible and attempt to curtail costs associated with breakdowns)
    • Adhere to finance related policies, procedures and controls
    • Continuously identify cost effect ways of delivering world class service, identify cost saving initiatives and recommend improvements
    • Lead maintenance specific problem solving initiatives
    • Ensure critical spare parts available per designated area

    Delivery

    • Proactively implement the maintenance plan.
    • Report on the efficiency of the maintenance plan and suggest improvements where possible
    • Support the Millwright when conducting preventative maintenance tasks and fixing breakdowns. 
    • Monitor the performance of team members to ensure that breakdown and scheduled maintenance is executed  within the agreed time frame
    • Monitor the packaging / processing areas (from a maintenance viewpoint) to ensure smooth operation at all times
    • Liaise with stores to ensure that all spare parts are available to execute the maintenance plan.
    • Monitor, measure and trend maintenance related production downtime. Use this information to improve maintenance service to the factory.
    • Assist in assembling, commissioning and decommissioning lines
    • Uphold Good Manufacturing Practice principles.
    • Monitor and ensure that all CUTE/Shopware documentation is completed accurately
    • Ensure adherence to DAMAWY procedures and process
    • Complete all required documentation as required (maintenance, safety, quality, etc.)
    • Attend department required meetings
    • Adhere to escalation procedure

    • Motivate, engage, inspire team members: encourage team members to strive for excellence in all that they do
    • Coach and guide team members on maintenance related activities and problem solving techniques

    Material Planner - JHB

    KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

    1. Material Requirement Planning

    • Compile the Material Requirements Planning for the respective Raw and/or Packaging commodities
    • Weekly meetings with Suppliers to manage supplier SLA with regards to stock holding
    • Create Purchase Orders based on the short-term production schedule & mid-term production plans
    • Ensure on Time Delivery from suppliers, follow up and expedite orders
    • Maintain timeous and efficient communication to suppliers, ensuring on-time and correct deliveries of required raw and packaging material
    • Maintain safety stock levels on all applicable material
    • Forecast demand to suppliers
    • Maintain on-going system housekeeping and clear open orders as per the MRP
    • Give timeous responses to email and account queries
    • Liaise with C&P regarding all contract related concerns.
    • Negotiating with internal and external stakeholders regarding desired business outcomes where relevant.

    2. Controls

    • Ensure that correct order volumes are received on time and in full.
    • Follow up on the daily Production Service Levels report, identifying any deviations that may impact on immediate purchasing requirements.
    • Monitor and act on Non-Conformance Reports, establishing the immediate risk to production
    • Follow up on short and non-delivered product, incorrect quantities and incorrect orders
    • Update applicable tracking sheets (indirect / direct imports)
    • Analyze weekly PSL report feedback to establish if the problem originated from Replenishment
    • Obtain stock counts from the applicable vendors/suppliers and continuously monitor the agreed safety stock levels
    • Communicate with forwarding agents regarding imported stock
    • Conduct quarterly supplier visits to establish safety stock levels vs the agreed SLA
    • Ensure minimal materials write off with Industrial team

    3. Reporting

    • Submit weekly and monthly management reporting
    • Submit monthly feedback on Supplier Performance (Supplier Relationship Management)
    • Present the Supplier Performance Consolidated Report
    • Change Order report to outline exception reporting for audit purposes.
    • Submit a Risk Assessment Report to identify possible upcoming constraints
    • Develop the 12-month Supplier Forecast
    • Report daily on feedback of materials below Safety Stock thresholds

    4. Support process improvement through interpretation of performance analytics

    Qualification(s) & Experience:

    • Diploma or Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Logistics, Engineering (or related field 3-5 years’ experience in an FMCG production environment in a replenishment role 
    • Working knowledge of stock control principles and practices 
    • Proficient in MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint 
    • A thorough understanding of all supply chain principles and processes 
    • Previous dairy experience is an advantage Previous experience in working with SAP is an advantage

    Payroll Specialist (6 Months FTC)

    KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

    SAGE300 Payroll System Management

    • Identify elements of configuration of the payroll system and inform the 3rd party to effect the changes.
    • Manage & conduct payroll administration for Bryanston & Boksburg headcount.
    • Liaise with 3rd parties for payroll systems.
    • Checking the accuracy of input from HR & Payroll Coordinators including new engagements, terminations and general payroll input into SAGE300 system.
    • IRP5 scheduling for distribution to employees.
    • Import of mass uploads such as annual salary review or bonus data.
    • Liaison with Management and staff regarding all pay enquiries.
    • Prepare and provide monthly payroll reports for Finance, Nutricia and HR.
    • Contributing to various audits by Auditing firms (providing evidence).
    • Workers compensation co-ordination (COIDA) as per legislative deadline.
    • Reconcile and effect payment to third parties e.g. including garnishees, retirement and medical aid.
    • Ensure compliance with SARS regulations.
    • Perform payroll month end variance report and balance back to company recon.
    • Assist with proactive project management of all payroll projects related actions and changes

    Benefit Management

    • Manage benefits administration including the reconciliation and upload of monthly retirement, risk and medical funding files.
    • Ensuring Retirement Fund provider receives employee information monthly and ensure payment, calculation and correct deduction of retirement and risk premiums.

    Projects and Integration of Payrolls (as and when required)

    • Pro-actively scope and manage projects and or the integration of payrolls into the Danone systems and processes as and when these arise.
    • Train and upskill any payroll related staff affected by these projects to be able to run the payroll in line with new or changed systems and processes.
    • Staff communication to ensure effective change management.

    Minimum Qualification:

    • Matric and a relevant HR or Payroll System Certification
    • Degree will be advantageous.

    Minimum experience required:

    • Demonstrated Payroll Management experience.
    • At least 10 years’ experience in payroll management, of which at least 3 years need to be at managerial level, on a company of more than 500 employees.
    • Project Management experience.
    • Experience in employee Benefit management and offerings e.g. Risk, Retirement, and Medical aid.
    • Experience in working for a multi-national organisation and international reporting.
    • Demonstrated system knowledge in at least 2 payroll or HR systems.
    • Experience in the manufacturing/ FMCG sector critical.
    • SAGE 300 experience is critical.
    • Advanced MS Office skills e.g. Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Knowledge of SARS regulations and legislation as it pertains to payroll.
    • Thorough knowledge of BCEA and employee tax legislation in relation to payroll practices.
    • Experience in system configuration relating to changes in Tax computations, HR and payroll information.

    Demand Planner - JHB

    Main job responsibilities along with summarised sub elements

    Demand Planning

    • Pro-actively works with the Demand Manager and the DP Business Partner, owning the statistical forecast and highlighting deviations to the shipment trends.
    • Use and maintain the Barnton software as the primary forecasting system tool
    • Collaborate with Key Accounts / Trade marketing on all forecast history cleaning activities including documenting adjustments and assumptions (market trends, seasonality, promotions).
    • Maintain statistical parameters for “best fit” model & generate a baseline at least 18 months rolling.
    • Maintain Barnton master data including, disaggregation factors and attributes in support of the correct DC split.
    • Analyze outliers through appropriate reports and make corrections.
    • Support scenario planning for promotions, innovation, and major events (duty, economics change, etc.) through stat analysis.
    • Provide reports and insights to stakeholders to maximize the use of baseline forecast.
    • Submit weekly forecasts to deployment and production planners
    • Adjust daily forecast variations vs. actual, and correct them
    • Communicate forecast (short/medium and long term with hypothesis and accuracy corridor) to internal customers
    • Participate in de-complexity analysis and programs
    • Actively participate in the forecasting process in new launch initiatives
    • Collaborate with Production planner to determine the inventory level
    • Achieve customer service and forecast accuracy targets

    Provide key input to GPS process

    • Participate where relevant in GPS process to align upon consensus forecast ( TLG, Building Blocks, Demand Review).
    • Review statistical input to Strategic Planning and AOP process and challenge projected growth based on historical trends.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to conduct root cause analysis to identify drivers of forecast error and work together to take the necessary corrective action to drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy and bias performance on a weekly and monthly basis.

    Continuously improve statistical forecasting method:

    • Test and implement new models

    • Support system developments

    Reporting

    • Analyze and elaborate effectively and efficiently on the forecast at a customer, brand and sku level
    • Communicate multiple horizon scenarios to enable internal forecasts.

    • Collaborate with Sales to monitor the gaps between the forecast and actual sales volumes on a weekly basis
