    Head, Client Enablement (Wealth Management Local)

    Job Purpose

    Develop and execute on a strategy that will result in Client Designed value propositions to sales teams through the alignment and integration of data insights and capability, advice, solutions, technology; branding, marketing and communication. Continuously assess requirements, opportunities and capability to create value and growth in conjunction with Operations, Business Innovation, Product owners and other stakeholders within the division, Cluster and Nedbank. Manage a portfolio of capabilities to enable the division with new ways of working, tools and infrastructure. 

    Job Responsibilities

    • Develop and deliver Client Enablement strategy:  Through external and internal environmental scanning, consultation and research create a strategy and road map for the Client Enablement function that will provide direction, clarity and priorities for the CE team as well all consumers of CE outputs; Organise and enable teams and resources with clear structure, process, accountabilities, metrics and skills to deliver as required; Continuously identify stakeholder and stakeholder groups with whom to position CE, its purpose and strategy in order to create awareness and activate networks for the CE team; Continuously identify/review and build or source the required capabilities in the areas of BI, CVP’s, Marketing and Branding.
    • Enable Growth: Lead continuous awareness and search for external opportunities, threats and recommend actions/responses; Lead collaboration with Wealth Management, Wealth Cluster and Nedbank sales and service teams to ensure growth in sales, revenue, retention and quality of business; Continuously drive towards deep client empathy and operational transformation in conjunction with leaders of product areas, operations, IT/digital, business transformation and support functions; Lead culture shift towards a data driven, digital organisation through personal technical knowledge, understanding of business and client needs as well as change leadership skills.

    Essential Qualification

    • Relevant Degree / Tertiary Qualification and Post Graduate Qualifications preferably in Commerce, Marketing, Banking, Investments, Science or Engineering;
    • Qualification in Business Analytics or Strategy will be advantageous;
    • Ideal candidate will have explored Digital / Fintech learning formally or informally.

    • High degree of confidence with financial and numerical analysis derived from Data Insights.
    • Track record of strong organisational skills, and is keen, experienced in commercial and business analysis, competitor research and innovation.
    • Experience as an advisor and expert for Client Enablement type function in complex business environments.

    Senior Associate: Trade & Working Capital Solutions

    Job Purpose

    To generate revenue by originating and structuring deals, following due diligence, paying out and managing the client on an ongoing basis to achieve growth in market share and profitability and provide input that supports the strategy and promote the Nedbank brand.

     

    Job Responsibilities

    • Originate deals by engaging with Coverage and Clients.
    • Analyse Financials and all the relevant credit and business-related information relating to potential clients and to use this information to collate a workable deal structure for a client which fits the banks's product offering

    • Structure the deal to align the client’s requirements in relation to the banks risk appetite.

    • Interpret annual financial statements to determine the deal structure.

    • Compile a specialist credit paper, term sheet, description of the Debt Package, the offer etc.

    • Present the structured transaction with the outline of the proposed solution to the client;

    • Negotiate approved terms of a deal with a client and all internal stakeholder to successfully implement a deal which meets a client needs and in turn ensures a long-standing relationship is started with a new client.

    • Consider other risks such as operational and management of deal structure Follow due diligence to validate clients business model; gain credit approval;

    • Implement the transaction and manage the deal conclusion forum.

    • Provide input to draft legal agreements and manage the process accordingly.

    • Build and maintain professional working relationships with all stakeholders, displaying excellent abilities to initiate dialogue, listen, advise, influence and negotiate to achieve win-win outcomes.

    • Demonstrates pride in the organisation’s brand, services and products by consistently delivering on the brands promise. 
    • Plan and manage own workflow, anticipating obstacles, juggling priorities and following through on objectives within agreed time-frames and according to quality standards.

    People Specification

    Essential Qualification

    •  Minimum BCom, B.Eng; CA(SA), CFA
    •  Masters degree will be advantageous.

    Essential Experience

    • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in Credit or Deal Making;
    • Thorough understanding of distribution methods in the trade finance environment including risk participation, club deals/syndication as well as insurance and product knowledge in structured lending products.
