    Sales Manager (One&Only)

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Sales:

    • Identify, solicit and develop existing and new accounts.
    • Represent company in designated events (IE Trade Shows, Product Launches Etc.)
    • Travel as designated to conduct sales presentations.
    • Develop and monitor action plans for designated accounts in order to meet departmental goals.
    • Act as a liaison between the Company and the client and serve as the spoke person on behalf of the company
    • To ensure delivery of best support and customer service to clients
    • To anticipate and address clients’ needs in order to exceed their expectations
    • To plan, organize and host client events, familiarization trips, trade and consumer shows, and internal clients/ hotels’ sales calls
    • Plan and conduct creative site inspections
    • To identify and profile new market opportunities
    • To use approved presentation materials & procedures to ensure brand consistency
    • To create an outstanding brand image in every interaction with clients
    • To maintain a high level of product and service awareness in order to explain and sell services and facilities to clients effectively and confidently
    • To plan and provide clients’ training sessions, as needed and required, in order to enhance clients’ productivity and improve revenue generation
    • To maintain a high level of competition product knowledge, market intelligence and pricing and to make recommendations for strategic or tactical amendments to rates
    • To set high performance standards and to pursue aggressive goals
    • To strive for constant improvements and to take responsibility for achieving business results
    • Maintaining rate integrity and maximizing yield opportunities in cooperation with revenue management
    • Participate in hotel activities including promotions, sales blitzes, entertainment and other operational areas as directed.
    • Assist the Associated Director of Sales in pursuing new market segments to secure sales and prepare proposals for consideration.
    • Budget, plan and execute cost effective and productive sales trips.
    • Maintain a minimum of 15 face to face sales calls per week (including site inspections and hosted breakfast, lunches and dinners)
    • To ensure all accounts, pertinent information and sales activities are logged in Sales Force on a weekly basis.

    Marketing:

    • Negotiate cooperative marketing programs and work closely with Brand Communications in ensuring brand integrity with assigned account’s channels of distribution.

    Administration:

    • Communicate contractual and promotional rate information to assigned accounts.
    • Provide on-going support / account maintenance including inventory and billing issues.
    • Ensure internal and hotel departments understand issues related to assigned accounts.
    • Coordinate and up-date departmental reports as designated.
    • Acts with a degree of independence as liaison with both internal and external clients. Handle clients’ requests and complaints as appropriate.
    • Support and perform other duties as assigned by Associate Director of Sales.

    Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

    • Sales oriented individual
    • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks
    • Strong background in all aspects of leisure sales
    • Minimum of five (3) years’ experience in a similar position
    • Strong Command of the English Language

    Stewarding Attendant (One&Only)

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated items, according to Health and Safety regulations and hotel requirements.
    • Set up and organize work station with designated supplies and equipment; report shortages to supervisor.  Replenish as needed throughout the shift.
    • Check the working condition of equipment and machinery in accordance with specifications; rectify any deficiencies.
    • Clean designated equipment, sinks, service areas, walls, floors, kitchen/ cafeteria/dumpster/compactor areas as assigned, following all departmental procedures and sanitation requirements.
    • Inspect the cleanliness and condition of all washed equipment and areas; clean items not meeting standards.
    • Store cleaned equipment in designated areas.
    • Maintain cleanliness and working condition of garbage disposal and grease traps.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas throughout shift.
    • Stock kitchen lines, restaurant service areas and buffet line with designated cleaned wares, utensils and equipment.
    • Use designated chemicals, supplies and equipment to clean various floor surfaces (brooms, mops, stripper, buffer, etc.).
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of supply/storage closets; remove trash, wipe down shelves/counters; clean floors; remove items which do not belong and place in correct areas.
    • Transport garbage containers from kitchen and work areas to dumpster; empty and clean according to standards.  Adheres to recycling regulations.
    • Report any damages, maintenance problems or safety hazards to the supervisor.
    • Adhere to all Health Department, sanitation and safety regulations as required by the hotel.
    • Organize and restock work areas for next shift as specified in departmental standards.
    • Work with chemical and machine repair personnel to repair machine, improve quality or standards, increase productivity or capacity of machine.
    • Complete job functions of other departmental positions as assigned.
    • Assist in plating up banquet meals. Assist in inventories as assigned
    • Ensure that floors are swept and mopped. Keep floors clean dry, spills are picked up immediately using wet floor signs, dry rags, and dry mops
    • Clean walls, tables, racks, sinks, floor mats and disposal area, polish stainless steel, ceilings.
    • Clean Ovens, hoods, filters, drains, hot boxes, steam tables, stoves, according to schedule or as specified by the Executive Chef of their respective area of responsibility.

    Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

    • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in job-related English.
    • Ability to count.
    • High school graduate or equivalent vocational training.
    • Previous experience in janitorial/ cleaning position.
    • Familiarity with proper sanitation regulations.
    • Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
    • Ability to perform duties with attention to details, speed, accuracy, follow-through and cooperativeness and be able to follow directions.
    • Ability to adapt to meet priority changes of work flow or requirements.
    • Ability to operate designated machinery and remains alert while operating it.
    • Ability to exert physical effort in transporting equipment and wares and withstand high temperatures, moisture and noise levels in work areas.

    Revenue Analyst - One&Only Cape Town

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Monitoring and understanding the pricing of competitors, the dynamics of the local market, and demand generators
    • Analyzing and reviewing monthly and weekly STAR Report results, understanding gains or losses of RevPAR Index and applying this knowledge to impact and predict future results
    • Staying abreast of industry and local market trends
    • Collaborating with the sales & marketing department to fabricate demand during need periods and identify strategic e-blast and other marketing offers
    • Chairing the development of all pricing and market mix strategies (weekly Revenue Meetings)
    • Providing strategic tactics based on historical data and current trends
    • Participating in the annual RFP process for negotiated accounts
    • Assisting in the development and execution of a strategic plan and the annual operating plan for the hotel
    • Analyzing market trends and communicating results to the corporate and hotel sales team
    • Developing, monitoring and adjusting group pricing strategies, preferred patterns, and need periods
    • Strategically driving and directing monthly forecast and annual operating plan process • Performing displacement analysis on groups to support group sales decisions
    • Managing group cut-off dates and block shortfalls and overages
    • Training sales and front office teams to understand revenue management principles and the roles they play
    • Training team on how to maximize the value of available revenue management tools influencing the broader strategy of the property
    • Generate accurate and dependable daily, weekly, monthly and long-term forecasts.
    • Analysis of room performance, booking patterns and market trends for future business plans.
    • Regularly plan and implement selling strategy to achieve if not to exceed the target.
    • Monitor competitors’ performance including pricing strategies and product improvement by utilizing GDS, internet, industry reports or similar tools in market intelligence.
    • Keep timely records of lost businesses and formulate plans in the future.
    • Assist the Sales and Marketing Team in analysis of the production of key accounts (of both travel trade and corporate) and setting the pricing strategy by effective market mix to achieve maximum yield.
    • Liaise with Sales and Marketing department for sales promotions and programs, contracted rates and agreements, group/bulk booking requirements.
    • Produce the Annual Revenue Budget with the executive team.
    • Liaise with the Sales and Marketing Team in formulating the Hotel Marketing Plan.
    • Ensures optimal use of various distribution channels available for the property to produce the maximum yield.
    • Coordinates with the Regional Sales Offices for reservations, promotions, and guidelines maintain good ongoing relationship with them.
    • Liaise from time to time with other departments concerning department operations most especially in critical situations (e.g. Sales Team for low occupancy, Rooms Division for overbooking).
    • Perform strategic analysis to maximize the revenue of the hotel, and ensure they are always in line with the market.
    • Analyze the performance of the hotel and look after the market and competitors.
    • Propose solutions for the adaptation of the strategy.
    • Lead a monthly analysis of results.
    • Regularly check the quality of data and update them.
    • Help the annual budget preparation.
    • Calculate the availability and provide estimates for its budget and strategy.
    • Recommend for change in strategy in order to react quickly to changes in situations
    • Optimize distribution channels

    Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

    • Minimum of 3 years of hotel revenue management experience required, 5 years preferred
    • College degree (BS/BA) preferred
    • Must be able to guide, direct, and deploy rooms revenue strategies with minimal direction
    • Skilled in problem analysis, problem solving and decision making
    • Above average Excel knowledge; extremely comfortable compiling and manipulating data
    • Aptitude to perform numerical analysis of data and formulate conclusions and solutions
    • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing skills
    • Track record of working collaboratively with others to achieve desired results.
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations
