    Product Owner (Client Portal)

    Purpose

    We are seeking a Technical Product Owner to join our team of Champions focused on disrupting a $50B+ market. This role is deemed essential in managing and growing our products and capabilities. The role will specifically focus on delivering features and functions in our client portal. The role will focus primarily on the analysis and technical understanding of the capability and product. The role will work side by side with the technical lead to come up with the functionality will work. The role will also have a partner in the product manager who will drive the business readiness items of the product.

    Responsibilities of the Role

    As a member of the Clickatell Product team, the successful candidate will be responsible to lead the technical conversations with the development team and align them to the business requirements. You will be responsible for:

    Technical Product Ownership:

    • With input from the Product Manager and other stakeholders, define the technical requirements for new product features
    • Translate client needs into technical requirements for a product
    • In collaboration with the Product manager, build a product roadmap of incremental improvements and iterative development
    • Continuously engage with current and future customers to understand their needs and challenges
    • Work very closely with the development team to define and grow the product, solve problems, and closely manage scope
    • With input from the stakeholders, the Product Owner has the primary responsibility to enhance, groom, and maintain the product backlog.
    • Make tough priority decisions and trade-offs balancing time and critical business need
    • Work with Product manager to ensure all requirements are aligned to what needs to be delivered
    • Manage product delivery into a series of releases and work with the engineering team to facilitate the rapid and accurate delivery of product features and use-cases.
    • Design necessary handoff processes with key stakeholders; Publish and execute against these processes
    • Own part of the product roadmap and oversee the successful definition and delivery of development tasks

    Documentation Management:

    • Own the design of product requirements and subsequent successful delivery of the requirements
    • Design and create process documentation required to help collaboration in our expanding organization
    • The role will be expected to draft and position the client facing documentation with the help of the technical writer.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering or Business degree / diploma (BBA, MBA, Business Analysis certification)
    • Have 5+ years’ experience as Business Analyst or Solutions Architect in an Agile environment
    • Have 8+ years’ experience in delivering frictionless user journeys
    • Experience in the Communication platform as a Service is beneficial (CPaaS)
    • Have a keen interest in user experience and intuitive designs
    • Have a deep B2B domain understanding and is used to present products to large enterprises
    • Experience working with Agile Methodology, SDLC and Sprints
    • Experience working with AI and / or big data management is an asset
    • Experience building and managing a product roadmap

    Technical Product Owner (SMS)

    Purpose

    We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to join our Champion team focused on disrupting a $50B+ market. This role is deemed essential in managing and growing our SMS service offerings. The role will specifically focus on managing SMS supplier interfaces, message cost and routing, messaging platform administration tools as well as Clickatell’s messaging APIs. SMS communication is a critical component of our customers chat commerce journeys.

    Responsibilities of the Role

    As a member of the global Clickatell Product Management team, the successful candidate will own the end-to-end lifecycle of the assigned product(s):

    • Technical Product management of Clickatell's SMS product portfolio, specifically underlying platforms, message routing, operational support and administration systems
    • Drive the roadmap and technical implementation of SMS messaging services, support tools and administration tools across Clickatell's SMS messaging platforms
    • Collaborate closely with the Commercial Product Manager for SMS Messaging and other stakeholders across the company to plan and execute end to end SMS based solution development involving multiple products and systems
    • Manage Clickatell’s Messaging API offering including new releases, documentation updates, introduction of updates or new APIs and tools.
    • Drive new product introductions through all stages of the product development process including business cases, development, launch schedule, trainings, and GTM
    • Manage product delivery into a series of releases and work with the Engineering team to facilitate the rapid and accurate delivery of product features and use-cases
    • Perform backlog tracking of operational and bug issues and prioritization jointly with stake holders. Interface with stakeholders like Product Managers, Support, Product Partnerships, Sales, etc.
    • Familiarity with API protocols like SMPP, SOAP, REST, HTTP
    • Be the primary point of contact for Customer Support regarding deliverability in general and SMS messaging platform specific issues
    • Take responsibility for final user acceptance testing (UAT) of SMS releases
    • Develop business & product requirements, operational processes, and other relevant product documentation in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams both internal and external
    • Design and create process documentation required to help collaboration in our expanding organization
    • Design necessary handoff processes with key stakeholders; Publish and execute against these processes
    • Engage on a regular basis with Support, Sales and Partnerships teams, bringing them up to date regarding releases, new developments, and major changes
    • Manage EOL process for legacy systems and support and the transition of legacy customers to new offers and services
    • Define, publish, and own metrics as part of product launches and administration tool developments and report on these on a scheduled and ad hoc manner as required.
    • Support the Product Leadership team in analysing opportunities and developing the relevant artefacts such as business analysis, presentation material, etc.
    • Ensure you have clear and articulated vision and key performance indicators for each aspect of your products and analyse behaviour and identify inhibitors and opportunities
    • Cooperate with the Product Partnership team to stay on top of changing SMS regulations coming from mobile operators or country regulators and implement new requirements

    Requirements of the Role

    • Domain knowledge in delivering SaaS products for a B2B software provider.
    • Experience managing software or telecommunication products at various stages of maturity, from legacy to new implementations
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering or Business degree / diploma (BBA, MBA, Business Analysis certification)
    • Minimum 3 years experience as product manager or product owner or technical lead of mobile/SaaS software applications. Messaging or telecom specific experience is a plus.
    • Strong analytical skills is a non-negotiable
    • Proficiency with the technical elements of product design, development and application
    • Technically savvy, experience with cloud services, APIs, communications, software, devices, and mobile services
    • Have a keen interest in product management or development

    Team Lead: Data Engineering

    Responsibilities of the Role

    The Data Engineering Lead has a strong focus on programing and will drive and maturity our big data engineering capabilities within our products and organisation.

    You will be responsible for the development of data products and advanced technical thought leadership for the organisation, and delivering fit-for-purpose data products for consumption by advanced analytics.

    The Data Engineering Team Lead will manage the full life cycle of big data engineering, from design, implementation through to production.

    Solution Design and Development

    • A Diploma, B-Tech or bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, informatics, data science or 10 years’ work experience in in relevant data management fields.

    Work Experience

    • 5+ years’ experience working with Big Data technologies.
    • 7+ years’ experience coding with scripting languages, including Python and Unix/Linux Shell.
    • Experience with cloud services and other technologies used at Clickatell
    • AWS Databases: DynamoDB
    • AWS Data Analytics: Kinesis, Athena (Presto DB), Elastic Map Reduce (EMR) or Hadoop/HDFS, Redshift, Glue
