    Medical Specialist: Internal Medicine

    Requirements :

    • An appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as Medical Specialist in Internal Medicine (FCP(SA) and MMed).

    • Proficiency in Microsoft office. Experience in Rx solution stock management, dispensing and reporting modules. Supervisory experience within pharmacy related entities will be an added advantage.
    • Valid South African driver’s license. Knowledge of supply chain management, financial management, human resource management (including a supervising and development service), dispensing requirements.
    • Sound understanding of relevant Acts and Regulations, including Essential drug program, NHI, National Drug Policy, Pharmacovigilance and CCMDD program.     Duties :

    • Provide a comprehensive cost-effective pharmaceutical service to patients/clients in line with National, Provincial and District strategies and priorities. Management and provision of comprehensive pharmaceutical services to patients, wards, Departments & clinics. Maintain control of pharmaceutical services in all departments in the hospital, including clinics.
    • Ensure registers are balanced and signed off monthly. Ensure required statistics are compiled and submitted in time. Responsibility and accountability for cost effective and efficient management of procurement, storage, distribution, control and security of pharmaceutical stock and equipment. Develop, implement and monitor adherence to standard operating procedures and policies for all aspects of pharmaceutical services in accordance with applicable legislations, regulations and Good Pharmacy Practice.
    • Develop and implement quality improvement programs in pharmacy. Support and supervision of pharmaceutical service in the attached PHC facilities and wards.
    • Maintain and implement systems for accurate and appropriate patient records in line with Legislative requirements. Engage in effective communication with all stakeholders to ensure a high-quality service is rendered and requirements for audits are met. Perform standby, after hours & weekend duties when necessary.
    • Support pharmaceutical and therapeutic governance including but not limited to Antimicrobial Stewardship, Medicine Utilization Reviews, Standard Treatment Guidelines adherence. Supervision and discipline of pharmacy staff. PMDS. Routing, monitoring and evaluation. Compiling reports for submission to the assistant pharmacy manager.
    • Management of resources allocated to Pharmaceutical Services. Deputize for the assistant manager as and when required. Register as tutor for pharmacist assistants and pharmacist interns.
    • Identify training needs of pharmacy staff and facilitate access to appropriate training and development. Any other tasks/duties deemed necessary by the Manager / Assistant Pharmacy Manager.

    Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant

    Requirements :

    • Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a Qualified Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant for a period of a minimum of three (3) years.

    Deputy Director: Finance

    Requirements :

    • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Financial Accounting or Financial Management (NQF 7). Ten (10) years relevant experience in Finance of which five (05) years must be at an Assistant Director level.
    • Experience in Supply Chain Management and Financial Management in a hospital will be an added advantage. Computer efficiency and driver’s license is essential. Extensive knowledge of Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, Supply Chain Management Policies and Procedures, Resource Management, Budget Management, Change Management as well as Risk Management.

Render an effective financial management process in line with PFMA. Compile annual budget projections and ensure that budget preparations are in line with strategic plans and hospital objectives.
    • Effective management and monitoring of the grants. Ensure that grants spend according to DORA. Plan and prioritize expenditure in line with the budget. Monitor expenditure trends through monthly and quarterly reports. Effective management of accruals and monitoring of SAP reports (open PO’s, partially paid report and GRV no invoice reports).
    • Manage revenue collection by maximizing debt recovery methods to obtain targets. Ensure that billing of patients is done timely and according to procedure manual.

    Assistant Director: Risk Management

    Requirements :

    • A relevant National Diploma or a B Degree in Risk Management/ Internal Audit. A minimum of 5 years’ work experience is required of which at least 3 years should be on supervisory level within Risk Management and Audit environment. Code EB driver’s license.

    • Annually draft Risk Management Implementation plans/ Fraud Prevention Plan for approval by the Executive. Plan and conduct strategic and operational risk assessments. Oversee development of Risk Registers and monitor regular updating thereof. Facilitate risk management across functional business units, cost centres and ensure effective risk reporting. Assist in the development and rolling out of risk management / Fraud and Corruption awareness programme throughout the institution.
    • Ensure effective co-ordination of all audit projects by either Gauteng Audit Service or Auditor General. Scrutinize audit findings and assist with implementation of effective audit action plans. Ensure establishment of an effective institutional Risk Management Committee.     Assistant Director: Facilities Management Unit

    Requirements :

    • ERRATUM DONE ON THE REQUIREMENTS. An appropriate 3-year National Diploma (NQF6) /Bachelor’s Degree in Building, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Project Management or equivalent NQF level 6 qualification.

    • Provide day-to-day maintenance by ensuring that all equipment are in safe working condition inside and outside the hospital buildings. Adherence to Occupational Health and Safety Regulations by ensuring that maintenance is conducted.
    • Compile and report on Statutory and Major Projects Implementation Plan. Ensure the implementation of turnaround strategy of the maintenance of the Hospital. Scrutinize specifications in consultation with the inspectors of the department of Infrastructure and Development (DID) both local and central office.
    • Develop maintenance strategy and implementation of policy guidelines, norms and standards according to regulatory framework. Perform preventative maintenance in the Hospital and ensure that checklists are completed. Liaison with DID regarding major maintenance within the hospital.
    • Compile weekly and monthly reports and present to hospital executive management team. Assist with monitoring of all statutory projects and onsite contractors, liaison with all stakeholders.
    • Allocate parking space to the staff members. Manage staff information (parking and accommodation). Perform routine inspections of immovable assets in the Hospital.
    • Ensuring availability of diesel, oxygen, coal, visual gas and other supplies. Ordering of material, stock and equipment for the unit. Managing the FMU stock control and storeroom. Ensure the contracting and evaluations of staff according to PMDS Policy.

    Medical Specialist: Emergency Medicine

    Requirements :

    • Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in Emergency Medicine.
    • No experience required after registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist.
