    Sales Assistant

    Main Objectives

    • Assist the Salesman driver in daily delivery of Premier products and where applicable assist the Salesman driver in cash and tray collection.
    • Are you a target driven individual with a high attention to detail and accuracy? Do you enjoy working in a highly pressurised environment which operates 24/7/365?

    Key Responsibilities

    • Check company products as per loading sheet and sign
    • Adhering to standard departure times
    • Take responsibility for vehicle safety and hygiene
    • Collect cash from the customers and cash in daily (where applicable)
    • Offloading of product at customers
    • Report all accidents immediately to the transport department and Service Manager

    Qualification Requirements    

    • Matric / Grade 12

    Experience Requirements    

    • Do you have 1-2 experience at FMCG & a valid Driver’s License code10/CI With PDP

    Production Manager Mill

    Purpose of the job:

    • To lead a high-performance production team to deliver grain products that meets desired quality and cost specifications. (The Premier way).

    What will you do:
    To ensure milling process delivers consistent high-quality products in line with required specifications by:

    • Adapting process as required to optimise milling efficiencies and product quality
    • Control process variations to ensure product quality
    • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure continuous operations in the value chain.
    • Optimize milling gain.

    Ensure cost effective raw material management by:

    • Understanding challenges of the raw materials in the delivery pipeline
    • Optimizing the extraction in line with the product quality required
    • Monitoring stock levels in line with milling plans and demand.

    Ensure high performance culture in the production team by:

    • building and motivating capability though competency-based selection
    • training and development, coaching, mentoring, performance management
    • effective communications
    • leading and participating in Invocoms and meetings as needed
    • ensuring good discipline and accountability
    • establishing good working relationships with union representatives
    • ensuring a conducive and safe working environment according to the Premier way.
    • To ensure full statutory and regulatory compliance to all health and safety and food safety requirements in line with Premier standards and SOP’s by ensuring training of relevant personnel, audits and corrective action of all findings in collaboration with the risk function.
    • Promote employee safety culture
    • Ensure best cost production through planning, organising and managing the function in line with agreed expense budget and resource plans.

    To ensure continuous improvement of the production process and function through:

    • Ensuring a culture of learning and continuous improvement
    • Perform route cause analysis when needed and ensure corrective action with relevant stakeholders
    • Driving continuous improvement of production processes based on the feedback from quality and the production team to ensure optimal plant asset management through implementation timeous corrective and preventative maintenance in accordance with company SOPs and maintenance system.

    Quality Controller

    Job Description    

    • To assist company in achieving its production targets by ensuring that product produced meets the company and customer quality specification by sampling, measurement, analysis and verifying that product meets the predetermined standard.
    • Conduct hygiene checks at entrance doors as staff come in to ensure correct safety procedure is followed-visually.
    • Keep record on hygiene checklist.
    • Conduct housekeeping checks prior to product production and record on housekeeping checklist.
    • Conduct start up checks-calibration tests, check instruments being used are correct and verify all instruments are in good working order to ensure instruments
    • provide correct results.
    • Scale tests, check and verify scales are working.
    • Periodically conduct temperature and humidity checks to ensure temperatures and humidity readings are correct for the product being produced.
    • Prior to production- verify metal detectors to ensure they are in good working order.
    • Conduct visual at packaging areas, check and verify the line clearance.
    • Verify glass, cleaning, small utensils, and blades registers and check conveyer integrity.
    • Conduct weekly black checks to identify foreign objects, take photos, investigate its existence.
    • Verify the process control sheet, ensure usage of correct version.
    • Conduct final product inspection-texture, size, appearance, printing etc.-visual and taste
    • Check the days the product has been sitting at production, ensure the days are as per product.
    • Draft Non-Conformances for products sitting at production floor longer than required period.
    • After final inspection-categorise products accordingly: on hold or ready for packaging or rejected.
    • Complete QC on hold/reject register and raise NCR.
