    The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting large scale and complex geotechnical investigations, including supervision of a team of professionals and subcontractors, and assisting engineers with input into geotechnical design.

    Jones & Wagener is seeking to employ a senior level self-motivated tailings engineer with more than 7 years of tailings related experience, in the tailings department, based in our Rivonia or Centurion offices, on a full-time basis. The engineer would contribute to new and existing projects and assist project managers and project directors with surveillance of existing and design of new tailings storage facilities and return water dams.

    • More than 7 years of tailings engineering experience

    Engineering Hydrology – Water Resources Engineer:

    We are currently looking for a self-motivated Water Resources Engineer to join our Engineering Hydrology department and contribute to new and existing projects. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team in a mid-level position, based in our head office (Rivonia) on a full-time basis. The engineer would carry out hydrological and hydraulic analyses and designs.

    Hydrology

    The candidate will be required to carry out hydrological analyses focused mainly on, but not limited to:

    • Acquisition and processing of hydrological data (rainfall, runoff, evaporation).
    • Hydrological parameters (eg, MAP, MAE, MAR).
    • Catchment delineation.
    • Surface water runoff calculations (eg. MAR, seasonal and dry weather flows, etc.) for site specific catchment areas.

    Job Summary 

    Jones & Wagener is seeking to employ a senior Civil Design Engineer in the Mining Infrastructure Department, based in the Rivonia office. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing civil design mine infrastructure projects. This includes storm water management infrastructure (dams, canals), bulk earthworks (terraces, platforms), roads (gravel, mine haul roads, dragline walkways), mine waste disposal facilities, tailings facilities and more.
