    Unit Manager - Water

    Job description

    Key Responsibilities

    • Project Delivery
      • Accountable for the delivery of all projects from within the Service Group Unit. This includes the timeliness, quality, risk management, project financial performance and scope management of the projects, in line with the Aurecon methodology.
      • Accountable for the delivery of allocated components of a projects managed by another service unit in Aurecon. This includes the timeliness, quality, risk management, financial performance of the allocated Phase or task of the project.
      • Responsible for the performance of all subcontractors and contract workers
      • Responsible for the contribution to delivery of projects in the Emerging Regions, where requested
      • Responsible to effectively utilise resources
      • Winning Work & Client Relationships
      • Accountable for the generation of revenue for the Service Group Unit through client relationships, proposals, tenders and bids
      • Responsible for contribution from the Service Group Unit to client proposals and tenders in conjunction with Business Development
      • Accountable for the Service Group Unit's participation in all major tenders and proposals
    • Financial Management
      • Accountable for the financial performance of the unit
      • Accountable for managing project profitability and financial contribution from the Service Group Unit in accordance with plans and budgets
    • People Management & Competency Development
      • Responsible for leading, managing, developing and motivating employees to ensure a high performing and engaged Service Group Unit
      • Responsible for ensuring the ongoing development of careers and competencies within Service Group Unit
      • Responsible for ensuring participation and contribution to knowledge management, including sharing of knowledge, resources and work across the Service Group
      • Accountable for the staffing levels in the Service Group Unit
      • Responsible for harnessing the skills and competencies in the offices, which are able to contribute to the Service Group delivery
    • General Management
    • Responsible for the Service Group Unit's contribution to the success of the Delivery Centre or office in which the group is located
    • Accountable for business planning as it pertains to the Service Group Unit and provide input to the delivery Centre and Global Service Group strategic plans
    • Responsible for the compliance to company policies and procedures, legislative requirements and act as a role model for Aurecon's values and behaviours

    Intermediate Web Developer

    Job description

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide support to end-users using existing administrative systems
    • Provide enhancement support on existing project implementations
    • Participate in design and code reviews
    • Build efficient and reusable front-end components and abstractions
    • Assist with development of Web APIs to build web components
    • Assist with designing and implementing branding on web applications
    • Assist with drafting technical specifications documents
    • Assist with drafting use and test case documents
    • Define and implement front-end unit tests
    • Identify and communicate front end development best practices

    Key Requirements

    • 4 years of experience working in the IT industry
    • Understanding of the full web stack – from server to browser
    • Fundamental awareness of server-side MVC web frameworks
    • Fundamental awareness of web development package management tools
    • Intermediate JavaScript development experience
    • Strong exposure to modern JavaScript libraries and tools
    • Intermediate single application development (SPA) experience
    • Intermediate Asp.Net development experience
    • Intermediate C# programming experience
    • Intermediate T-SQL experience
    • Expert experience in HTML, CSS, and related web technologies
    • Fundamental awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations
    • Fundamental awareness in planning and architecting SharePoint solutions
    • Intermediate SharePoint web development experience targeting version (2010, 2013 or 2016)
    • Nintex Workflow and Nintex Forms intermediate implementation experience advantageous
    • Strong Computer Science fundamental skills
    • Strong understanding of object oriented programming
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Products and Platforms
    • MCSD Certification advantageous
    • Microsoft SharePoint Web Development Certification advantageous
