Primary Fuctions :

• Conduct door-to door home visits within allocated wards Assist with the intake process by filling in application forms and the intake register at indigent registration service points
• Assist with skills data collection through the completion of relevant forms
• Attend public participation events, meetings, imbizos and road shows
• Identify and gather information on service delivery needs and challenges for the City of Tshwane
• Submit feedback on service delivery challenges identified to the service field coordinators to report to relevant departments

Job Purpose

Job Purpose

• To provide technical support and training to internal teams to use the Distributed Management System/Outage Management System (DMS/OMS) and Scada system

Application Requirements:

• An appropriate three-year career-related tertiary qualification (national diploma or degree), BEng or BTech in Electrical Engineering or any other study field related to the position
• Professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa will be an added advantage
• At least seven years’ relevant experience in a Scada and DMS/OMS environment

• Primary Fuctions : Manage the drafting and review of the technical specifications database for the preparation of annual equipment tenders
• Manage record-keeping of all power failures, incidents and planned work on the integrated electrical network, Scada and DMS
• Manage and coordinate the development and design of equipment for use on the electrical network
• Represent the Energy and Electricity Department on technical work groups for the development of national technical standards
• Oversee that the protection information related to network tripping activities is integrated on the database for purposes of analysing fault conditions
• Conduct the daily management and design of the DMS/OMS
• Run queries on the database to verify the integrity of the software
• Make a backup of the software
• Monitor file systems on the database for proper operation
• Maintain and connect single line diagrams on the DMS (Powermap and Calldesk) system
• Create passwords for users on the Scada system
• Conduct first line maintenance on the hardware of the Scada system, DMS and EMS file servers, real time data server and man machine interface modems
• Manage and control product samples from tenderers for audit, storage and collection
• Provide technical Scada and PowerMap support for personnel and activities in the Electricity Control Centre and customer call centres
• Conduct personnel management
