    ICT Information Security Specialist

    Reporting directly to the Divisional Manager: ICT, the incumbent will perform the following  duties:

    • Developing and implementing a comprehensive plan to secure the computing network.Monitoring network usage to ensure compliance with security policies
    • Keeping up to date with developments in IT security standards and Backup and recovery Performing penetration tests to and anyaws Collaborating with management to improve security
    • Creating and maintaining information security policies and procedures Selecting and implementing new information security technologies Creating information security training programs

    Requirements:

    • National Diploma in Information Technology/ Computer Systems / Information Systems or equivalent plus 3 years' relevant experience in information security, specically with penetration testing, intrusion detection, incident response or digital forensics.

    Divisional Manager: Budget and Reporting

    Duties: Reporting directly to the Deputy CFO, the incumbent will perform the following duties:

    • Administer budget processes, planning, compilation and reporting and overall budget control and management Provide a budget and reporting strategic support to the municipality Budget implementation and monitoring Statutory reporting Financial forward planning and reporting Personnel and performance management
    • Manage procedures, systems and controls Financial administration Grant Management Manage and control budget policies Performs the mid-year budget and performance assessment MSCOA Implementation Adjustment budget preparation Cash Flow Management
    • Provides technical advice to other departments on budget availability and ?nancial regulations before they initiate major procurement projects Assist with year-end procedures for the compilation of the annual Financial statements and annual audit by the AGSA

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12 plus a Bachelor's Degree in Financial Management / Accounting or equivalent (NQF 7) A postgraduate qualification in Finance or equivalent (NQF 8) will be an added advantage
    • 5  years'  experience  of  which  3  years  must  be  supervisory  capacity Must have completed Municipal Finance Management Programme

    Divisional Manager: Inventory and Asset Management

    Duties:
    Reporting directly to the Deputy CFO, the incumbent will perform the following duties:

    • Oversee the asset management unit Develop and oversee the implementation of the asset management system, including developing and / or review of the asset management policy and procedure manual Develop and maintain the annual asset management plan aligned with the strategy and budget of the municipality
    • Maintain the asset register of the municipality including addition of new acquisition, transfer of assets and review of useful lives in line with the asset management policy Prepare monthly reconciliation with supporting schedules of the asset register to the relevant accounting records and resolve unclear items Organize auctions for the disposal of obsolete assets Oversee the municipality's insurance porfolio, including the administration of insurance claims
    • Verify assets in accordance with the policy, effectively investigate variances, resolve and report discrepancies identified, make informed recommendations, and accurately update the asset register in accordance with GRAP and relevant legislation Develop and implement inventory management strategies in order to control costs, reduce expenditure, rationalize inventory and improve order effciency
    • Compile monthly inventory reports (quantity, type and value of materials, and equipment and stock quantity, type and value of materials and equipment and stock on hand); and conduct periodic inventory counts Appropriate understanding of GRAP standards Assist with year-end procedures for the compilation of the annual financial statements and annual audit by the AGSA

    Requirements:

    Human Settlement Coordinator

    • Coordinate housing needs and maintain an updated housing demand database Coordinate the establishment and functionality of committees and other structures

    Duties:

    Reporting directly to the Speaker the incumbent will perform the following duties:

    • Act as personal assistant and receptionist Perform general administrative functions Keep record of meetings
    • Provide an efficient and reliable secretarial function Provide an efficient and friendly reception function Typing of reports and correspondences Maintain office procedures Maintain the Speaker's diary Perform any other reasonable task.

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12 plus appropriate qualification and experience. Computer literacy is a pre-requisite.

    Duties:

    Reporting directly to the Speaker, the incumbent will perform the following duties:

    • Provision of transport service for the Speaker Daily maintenance of the vehicle
    • Comply with Occupational Health and Safety requirements by ensuring safe operation of the vehicle Perform any other reasonable task

    • Assess risks by identifying possible threats Analysis of security threats Protect, escort and guard the Speaker at all times Liaise with relevant stakeholders
