    Buyer - S3

    The Role

    • To purchase goods and services from suppliers by creating and releasing purchase orders, administrate order acknowledgements/confirmations and follow up and track deliveries. Ensure contract compliance with, and use of global/regional/country/local contracts.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Create and release purchase orders. 
    • Administration of order acknowledgements/confirmations including follow up and to take actions on deviations from purchase orders. 
    • Give purchasing support to internal users. Identify, prepare and propose sourcing activities. Onboarding (evaluation and approval) of suppliers. 
    • Ensure contract compliance with, and use of, global/regional/country /local contracts within area of responsibility.

    Profile Required

    Internal Auditor - P2

    The Role:

    • The Internal Auditor in Group Internal Audit (GIA) provides independent, objective assurance and advisory services to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of Sandvik’s governance, risk management, and internal control framework. The role supports the Audit Committee and senior management by delivering high‑quality, risk‑based audits in accordance with the Global Internal Audit Standards and Group Internal Audit methodology.

    Key Performance Areas:

    Audit Delivery and Execution

    • Lead and execute internal audit engagements in line with the GIA audit methodology, including planning, fieldwork, evaluation, reporting, and follow‑up of management actions.
    • Perform risk assessments at engagement level to ensure audit scope focuses on key risks and controls.
    • Obtain, analyze, and document sufficient, reliable, and relevant audit evidence to support audit conclusions.
    • Validate audit observations and root causes with management and ensure fact‑based, balanced reporting with value added recommendations.

    Audit Planning and Risk Focus

    • Contribute to the risk‑based audit planning process, including entity‑level and thematic audits, aligned with Group risk priorities.
    • Identify emerging risks, control weaknesses, and improvement opportunities for escalation to audit leadership.
    • Support periodic updates to the audit universe and risk assessment documentation

    Quality, Standards, and Methodology

    • Perform audit work in accordance with the Global Internal Audit Standards, GIA Charter, and internal directives.
    • Ensure audit documentation meets quality requirements and is subject to appropriate review by audit management.
    • Contribute to internal quality assessments and continuous improvement initiatives under the GIA Quality Assurance and Improvement Program.

    Data Analytics and Collaboration

    • Deliver analytical work primarily to GIA audit teams and, where applicable, other assurance functions.
    • Execute data analytics procedures based on the confirmed audit scope and the Audit Risk & Controls Program.
    • Provide fact‑based analyses, dashboards, and exception reports to support audit conclusions.
    • Extract data from ERP and other systems, or follow up with entities when system access is unavailable.
    • Clean, format, and structure data for analysis using approved tools (e.g., SQL, Excel).
    • Perform assigned analytics, including KPI testing, population analysis, and exception identification.
    • Present and explain analytics results to the audit team to ensure clarity and correct interpretation before and during audits.
    • Leverage data analytics and digital tools provided by the GIA Data Analytics team to enhance audit coverage and insight.

    Professional Development and Knowledge Sharing

    • Maintain and enhance professional competence through continuous learning and knowledge sharing within GIA.
    • Act as a role model for junior auditors and, where required, provide on‑the‑job coaching.
    • Promote GIA’s behavioral values of integrity, respect, objectivity, and constructive challenge.

    Your Profile:

    • At least 5 to 8 years of working experience of inhouse internal auditor or internal control
    • Relevant bachelor’s degree ​
    • CIA, CPA or CFE preferred
    • Fluent in English, multiple language talented preferred
    • Base in Johannesburg South Africa Office, required to come to the office when not travelling
    • Up to 75% global travel rate
    • SOX and IT Audit background preferred
    • Familiar with SAP or other global main ERP systems

    Head of Financial Control - M4

    The Role:

    • Lead, direct, and control the financial resources to maintain the short and long-term financial health of the area of responsibility. To manage the financial control for the Southern African entities (Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe), in accordance with Sandvik financial reporting guidelines and applicable accounting standards and legislation. Ensure compliance with IFRS, local legislation and Sandvik processes and regulations in the finance area.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure adherence to statutory regulations, including the Companies Act, Income Tax Act, VAT Act, IFRS, and King Code.
    • Oversee tax compliance, treasury governance, and transfer pricing policies.
    • Manage compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
    • Lead and manage major financial control projects, including mergers and acquisitions.
    • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
    • Manage audit processes, including BBBEE audits and financial statement audits.
    • Required to be a director and fulfil directorship duties in one or more of the entities within the sales area.
    • Coordinate financial reporting for board and audit committee meetings.
    • Ensure effective cash flow management and financial risk mitigation.
    • Maintain and monitor treasury policies and controls.
    • Oversee insurance portfolio management to mitigate business risks.
    • Ensure that the budget/forecast is in line with IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
    • Support the quarterly and annual forecasting process.
    • Oversee ERP system upgrades, new implementations, and structure changes.
    • Ensure financial data integrity in reporting and month-end close Implement, maintain, and assess internal controls for financial operations.
    • Oversee the governance of key financial policies and procedures.

    Profile required: 

    • B Com Hons degree (CA (SA) status
    • 7 years’ post qualification experience with:
    • Proven experience in former Financial Control function within a highly dynamic environment.
    • Proven track record of proactive performance management within a Financial control function.
    • Experience in change management and people management (direct reports and stakeholder management across a larger complex organization).
    • Experience with internal Controls and policies/guidelines management.
    • Advanced Excel skills.
    • Previous mining industry experience is advantageous.
    • Aurora ERP system is advantageous.
    • Experience in a matrix environment is advantageous.
    • Solid understanding of IFRS Accounting Standards.
    • Ability to work independently but also in a team structure.
    • Travelling to sites and other limbs across Southern Africa.

    Marketing & Communications Manager

    Purpose of the role

    • To provide high-quality marketing and communication deliverables across all mediums to help drive the growth, market share, profitability and brand reputation of Rock Processing Sales Area Africa. The role is responsible for implementing global and regional marketing strategies, strengthening brand presence, managing internal and external communications, and supporting business growth initiatives across the African region.

    The job responsibilities
    Marketing

    • Implement global Business Area and Divisional marketing strategies within Sales Area Africa.
    • Develop and deploy the Sales Area Africa marketing strategy.
    • Champion Sandvik brand standards and drive brand compliance across all marketing activities.
    • Manage the Sales Area editorial and content creation pipeline, delivering high-quality customer case studies and stories that support Rock Processing's image and reputation.
    • Select and coordinate regional industry events, exhibitions, conferences and trade shows where the Sales Area should be represented.
    • Manage the Sales Area's presence in targeted regional trade media channels and industry publications.
    • Develop and deliver promotional plans including trade events, advertising, editorial initiatives, product launches, promotions and campaigns.

    Stakeholder engagement

    • Work closely with Territory Managers, Business Line Managers, sales teams, Sales Area management, divisional marketing teams and the global Rock Processing marketing and communications teams and business area Mining in Africa territories.
    • Build strong relationships with customers, media representatives, trade press editors, agencies and other key stakeholders.
    • Conduct stakeholder and customer interviews and convert insights into compelling content and marketing assets.
    • Support additional strategic marketing and communication initiatives as required by the line manager.

    Qualifications & experience requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
    • Minimum of 10 years' experience in marketing and corporate communications roles.
    • Experience developing and executing marketing strategies, campaigns and communication plans.
    • Experience managing marketing budgets and external service providers.
    • Experience in mining, quarrying, aggregates, mineral processing or related industrial sectors. Understanding mineral processing and aggregate production environment would be highly advantageous.
    • Salesforce experience, or experience with a similar CRM platform, is highly desirable.

    Other requirements & competencies

    • Experience working with mining and quarrying industry trade press and media channels.
    • Excellent writing, editing and English communication skills.
    • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Strong project management capability combined with strategic thinking.
    • Highly developed analytical, listening, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across global, regional and local teams.
    • Skilled in Microsoft Office 365 applications; advanced MS PowerPoint skills are essential.
    • Working knowledge of Canva, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and Acrobat is highly desirable.
    • Fluent in English.
    • Right to live and work legally in South Africa.
