    Groups & Events Coordinator

    Responsibilities

    • To ensure that standard correspondence formats for various stages of reservations is completed and maintained
    • Ensure all relevant groups / event information is communicated in a timely fashion
    • Quote and contract all potential business through all available booking channels
    • To optimise sales and profitability through an effective and efficient reservations process whilst enhancing relationships with existing clients
    • Manage site inspections in conjunction with sales manager
    • To continuously seek ways to maximise revenues and profits by up-selling facilities and services
    • Establish rapport with guests maintaining effective customer relationships and handle guest enquiries, requests either personally or over the phone
    • Spend time in each function / event to ensure that the guests and organisers are well looked after and to support banqueting where needed
    • Liaise with suppliers (off-site) when and where needed
    • Preparing and ensuring all bookings are accurate and in line with SOP’s
    • Ensure accurate timeous invoicing and payment received

    Required Qualifications & Experience

    • Diploma / Degree from a reputable hotel school - Preferred
    • 3-5 Years Groups/Events/Conferencing Experience - Preferred
    • Previous junior sales and reservations experience - Advantageous
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work without supervision
    • Team & Goal Orientated
    • As this is a position of honesty and integrity, the successful candidate should possess a positive credit and criminal history as per our client’s requirements

    Key Account Manager - Cape Town CBD

    Responsibilities

    • Develops & implements strategic customer initiatives in order to achieve customer Sales & Profit targets
    • Ensures promotional compliance to maximize return on investment
    • Develops strong retailer (KA) relationships to ensure best implementation of promotional and customer business plans
    • Ensures timely planning and forecasting (including new product development process)
    • Manages and monitors new listings and de-listings specific to KA
    • Manages trade spend and claims (returns) effectively and in a timely manner in cooperation with Trade Marketing and Finance

    Requirements

    • Related Bachelor’s Degree required with three years related experience advantageous
    • Valid Drivers License
