    Commodity Manager - Spare and Wear Parts

    Job Purpose:

    • Reporting to the Head of Technical Procurement, the incumbent of this position will be responsible for the development and implementation of sourcing strategies for all spare and wear parts purchases to optimize total cost of ownership, minimize risk and ensure sustainability across Mondi South Africa.

    Qualification and Expertise:

    • ESSENTIAL:  Degree in Supply Chain, Commerce or Category relevant.
    • DESIRABLE:  CIPS registration and / or qualification would be an added advantage
    • Valid Drivers License

    Job Experience:

    • 3 - 5 years in sourcing / operations / commercial / category Management role within manufacturing environment
    • Procurement in international environment and exposure to the procurement of spare and wear parts preferable

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Develop sourcing strategies and roadmaps for the procurement of spare and wear parts(SWP)
    • Management of daily SWP procurement requirements of the mill including orders, pricing, expediting, supplier payment and account queries
    • Ensure alignment with the Group Procurement team
    • Scope and source at a global level
    • Plans and executes RFQ and tenders as and when the need arises
    • Develop negotiation strategies and participate in negotiations to ensure the lowest Total Cost of Ownership for Mondi.
    • Drives cost saving initiatives
    • Draft and finalize contracts within the management guidelines. Assist to ensure compliance with agreed SLAs
    • Conduct supplier relationship management including supplier audits and evaluations as required from time to time
    • Perform regular market analysis and benchmarking
    • Focus on buying channel digitalisation and automation
    • Monitor risks and ensure that the strategy and roadmaps are adjusted to account for any changes.
    • Build strong relationship with SWP team

    Job Competencies/ Attributes/Skills– Essential:

    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Computer literacy is essential.
    • Strong administration skills including planning and organising, project management and budget management.
    • Good communication skills (both verbal and written).

    Reliability Engineer

    Job Purpose:

    • Reporting to the Maintenance Manager Reliability, the incumbent of this position will be responsible for driving an optimal asset management strategy to achieve safe and reliable plant operation.

    Qualifications & Expertise:

    • BSc Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Degree / B-Tech in Mechanical/ Electrical  Engineering
    • Government Certificate of Competency is advantageous
    • Registration as a Professional Engineer with ECSA will be preferable

    Job Experience:

    • 4 years’ experience as a Mechanical or Electrical in heavy industry environment
    • 2 years applicable reliability engineering or asset management will be advantageous
    • Experience within the Pulp & Paper industry will be beneficial

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Maintain updated equipment long term plan and risk register
    • Optimise maintenance strategies on equipment/process level
    • Root cause failure analysis and closeout
    • Set goals and achieve Maintenance KPIs
    • Manage SAP maintenance system and compliance to business processes
    • Create focused reliability improvement programs
    • Support quality management
    • Understanding of maintenance principles and strategies is essential
    • Accurate reporting
