    Productivity Partner - M2 (Phalaborwa)

    This position is for a Productivity Partner to partner with relevant stakeholders on challenges regarding safety, reliability through best practices (e.g., maintenance scheduling, parts planning, equipment health checks, technical training) across the Phalaborwa Area.

    Key Responsibilities

          To assist stakeholders in achieving:

    • High equipment availability, reliability and productivity through improved maintenance and operation practices to ultimately reduce the equipment total cost of ownership
    • Improve MTBF (mean time before failure) and/or reduce MTTR (mean time to repair), by supporting the maintenance schedule, parts selection and inventory forecasting, technical coaching and training, equipment health checks.
    • Coordination with machine down support and 24/7 customer assistance programs and however necessarily with Sandvik 
    • This position requires ample time spend per site, i.e. starting up a performance contract or complete a specific project.
    • Requirement is to have excellent communication skills, should lead by example, passion for maintaining equipment as well as share equipment knowledge, working according to Sandvik standard & procedures.
    • Assist customer with forecasting IE [Components replacement or repairs, maintenance improvement initiatives]
    • Monthly customer reporting IE [Monthly parts consumption and investigate excessive consumption]
    • Manage all on site services, including but not immitted to ad hoc field services, vendor managed inventory

    Your profile:

    • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
    • Tertiary Diploma engineering / Managerial program in operations field
    • Section 13 or 26D Trade Certificate, accompanied with proof of apprenticeship.
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience working as Field Service Technician / managing performance contracts / supervising maintenance crew’s
    • Basic Computer literacy

    Field Service Technician MN330 Project - S3

    Main responsibilities:

    • Install, repair, maintain, inspect, operate and commission the MN330 system equipment at customer site, Mototolo (Steelpoort area)
    • Report, capture and document results at end of every shift to Project Manager and team

    PDI Technician - S3 (Kempton )

    The Role

    Provides technical support to Production/Planning department/Technical department on a variety of technical tasks to achieve improvements in production and operation processes. This position is for a PDI Technician.

    Key Responsibilities

    • The preferred candidate must have vast experience in the following, Opti mine modules on site, Location Tracking, Task Management, Remote Monitoring, Onboard equipment communication devices, Aerials, DCU, Scheduler. It is essential to have excellent computer skills.
    • Develops and recommends procedures and methods and prepares technical reports and documentation.
    • Performs technical evaluations of events to determine root cause; recommends corrective action.
    • Monitors instruments and equipment and collects operating data including calibration, inspection, testing and repair activities to assist in making on-line adjustments to instruments, equipment or products.
    • Analyzes and resolves malfunctions and deviations of instruments and control systems to identify and resolve problems.
    • Conducts analyses and prepares reports using metrics from salvage tracking, trending, reporting and root cause analyses.
    • Maintains process designs to optimize process and facility use while conforming to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and good manufacturing practices (GMPs).

    The Role

    • Assembly of a machine: modules, electrics, hydraulics, cabin, etc.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Assembly/sub-assembly work of a machine: modules, electrics, hydraulics, cabin, etc.
    • Ocular inspection of the quality and validity of the delivered materials for the work (delivered by logistics operations).
    • Sub-assembly work consists of smaller entities; it is variable and repetitive.
    • Module assembly puts together entities from sub-assembly and other items.
    • Final assembly work starts by getting to know the details of the order: tailored production structure, basic machine structure, parts catalogue and options required.

    The Role:

    We are seeking a proactive individual who will be responsible for driving sales for Crushing and Screening, by bringing the best of Sandvik’s offering to meet a given customer requirements and deliver on business lines profitability and sales targets. Furthermore, while promoting fact-based value for Sandvik’s offering and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach to drive customer value while actively developing current and seeking new customer’s for Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Identify new opportunities as well as develop existing markets for Crushing and Screening capital equipment, while always ensuring CRM is up to date with valid cases and customer visit reports.
    • Submit, accurate and comprehensive Crushing and Screening equipment tenders incl. equipment selection with comminution application process flow diagrams.
    • Present on Sandvik Crushing and Screening portfolio and Sandvik’s strategic advantages during sales calls, meetings, and tender submissions.
    • Working closely with Engineering Houses (EPC/EPCM) for the benefit of the end customer in applications, engineering, and tender submissions.
    • Provide engineering support Inc. DWG 2D & 3D STEP modelling of brownfield applications, understanding competitor market where suitable and provide detailed improvement opportunities for customers on Sandvik Crushing and Screening equipment.
    • Ensure an understanding of customers’ businesses, which include revenue base, geographical area, installed fleet, sales potential, business cycle and who the real decision makers are, as well as providing significant input into strategic plans for the continued expansion of revenue within the area and across the region.
    • Proactively work with other Sales engineers, internal sales team, field service team and other support staff to grow Sandvik Crushing and Screening market share while ensuring Sandvik’s core values are maintained.
    • Investigate competitor activities and conduct relevant market research that enables the business unit to maintain market competitiveness. Ensure this information is communicated through the appropriate channels in the region.
    • Promote and develop new products to existing and new customer base to maintain Sandvik competitive edge.
    • Provide regular feedback on business activities, maintain equipment fleet (population and location for both Sandvik and non-Sandvik sites), opportunity development and overall satisfaction of the Customer base through CRM.

    Your profile:

    • Degree or diploma in technical/ mechanical engineering with preference in process engineering/ metallurgy.
    • Proven track record of at least 5 years in industry related Crushing & Screening capital sales experience. Including large capital equipment tenders, negotiations, understanding commercial terms, performance & other guarantees
    • Proven ability or experience with on CRM or other sales management tools.
    • Advance level of computer literacy
    • English proficiency, with the ability to deliver and manage written technical proposals and reports.
    • Good understanding of sales management and business principals.
