    Washing Supervisor

    Job Description:

    • We are looking for a solar panel washing team supervisor with a diploma in electrical engineering, ready to lead a team to wash solar panels. You will work at heights and supervise the solar panel washing team. You will carry out any other scheduled maintenance activities and submit scheduled maintenance reports as per the issued scheduled maintenance requirements.
    • Due to this job's high risk, you must be responsible with great attention to safety precautions. The ideal candidate must also have a diploma in electrical engineering and knowledge of solar PV system operation and maintenance.
    • We will provide training in relevant solar applications, our scheduled maintenance requirements, working on heights and; therefore, specific solar experience is not a requirement but an advantage. The goal will be to lead a solar panel washing team, carry out scheduled maintenance and submit reports on time.

     

    Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Panel washing team management and supervision of several sites and team members
    • Inspection of work
    • Manage the work schedules of the team and reallocate to cover absences or changed priorities
    • Perform scheduled maintenance on a solar PV system.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
    • Manage relationships with our internal and external customers when operating queries, concerns, and on-site work needs to be completed. 
    • Actively promote Health and Safety, and report any breach directly to the Manager.
    • Ensure that all staff wear all appropriate PPE.
    • Any other job duties as required.
       

    PERSON DESCRIPTION

    Experience:

    • Can supervise a team and not be afraid to get hands dirty to assist where needed
    • Demonstrate a willingness to work on heights.
    • Thorough knowledge of health and safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
    • Able to effectively multitask, prioritise and meet strict deadlines.
    • Valid driver's license and willing to travel.  
    • Resourceful and comfortable working in a high pace and changing environment. 
    • Computer literacy (MS Office).
       

    Advantageous Skills Include:

    Knowledge of:

    • Thorough understanding of solar PV operations and maintenance.
    • Solar systems operation and maintenance.
    • Health and safety apply to work on heights and a solar PV system.
    • SANS 10142 and NRS 097-2 standards specifically reference embedded generation.
    • DC and AC systems, networking equipment and industrial communication protocols like Modbus, RS485, Ethernet, etc.

    • Overtime and working on weekends may be required to meet required deadlines.

    Regional Sales Support

    Job Description:

    • As a SolarAfrica Regional Sales Support, your job will be diverse and require an organised, confident person with strong people skills and a proven history of working in a professional sales environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, always focus on customer satisfaction, and can coordinate the sales team's activities. Your communication, both written and verbal, must be excellent. Your goal is to ensure the sales team is highly efficient, productive and supported through your organisational skills and communication abilities.

    Position of the job in the organisation:

    • The successful candidate will report directly to the Sales Support Lead on all matters relating to the sales team and certified partners.

    Principal responsibilities:

    • Assist in day-to-day basic administration for the sales team, from answering calls, replying to emails and coordinating multiple diaries
    • Assist in creating renewable energy proposals promptly via internal software, MS Word and MS Excel
    • Chase inbound sales opportunities to get project information and electricity bills. Conducting high-level lead pre-qualification
    • Create user profiles and upload logos for our certified partners on our bespoke software platform.
    • Answer incoming phone calls professionally at all times and field calls accordingly.
    • Be the liaison between the customer and our internal technical and sales team to ensure communication on the deals is on schedule.
    • Maintain contact database and deal accuracy on HubSpot CRM to ensure it is accurate and current.
    • Organising, arranging and scheduling sales meetings
    • Assist with sales reports
    • Co-ordinate inter-department meetings for the success of each deal
    • Handling external or internal communication or management systems.
    • Partner communications by email & telephone
    • Communicate with clients about kick-off credit review emails and follow up on outstanding documentation.
    • Credit checks & bill co-ordination training scheduling & co-ordination
    • Informing related parties of credit and technical approval and coordinating agreements to be sent out and signed by the end-user/client
    • Responsible for sales reporting on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
    • Other adhoc-related sales support duties
    • Coordination of terms and conditions of PPA agreements
       

    PERSON DESCRIPTION

    Experience:

    • Previous administration experience is essential; running multiple diaries and customer service and sales experience would be a bonus.
    • Experience in technology or renewables will be advantageous but optional.
    • Experience with multiple software/computer literacy is required.

    Regional Sales Support Lead

    Job Description:

    • As a SolarAfrica Regional Sales Support Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the regional sales support team, ensuring they are highly efficient and productive. You will be a confident, detail-oriented person with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, your principal responsibilities will include providing administrative support to the sales team, responding to emails and phone calls, creating renewable energy proposals using MS Word and MS Excel, coordinating interdepartmental meetings, and ensuring that customer data is accurate and current.
    • You will be expected to liaise with clients, internal technical and sales teams, and our certified Partners to ensure that communication regarding deals is on schedule. You will also be responsible for coordinating agreements to be signed by clients and for sales reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

    Position of the job in the organisation:

    • The successful candidate will report directly to the National Sales Manager.

    Principal responsibilities:

    • Team Management: you will lead and manage a team of sales support specialists. This includes hiring, training, and developing team members, setting performance goals, and providing feedback on their performance.
    • Sales Process Improvement: identify and implement process improvements to streamline the sales process to optimise to current product offering. This includes reviewing and optimising sales processes and systems, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Sales Enablement: enable the sales team to be more effective by providing the necessary tools, training, and resources through a highly efficient support team and best practice process, as well as coordinating agreements to be signed by clients and for sales reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
    • Pipeline Management: Manage input and information quality to ensure the sales pipeline is healthy and accurate. This includes identifying and addressing bottlenecks in the sales process, sales data accuracy, tracking sales metrics and KPIs, and working closely with the sales team to ensure they meet their targets.
    • Customer Relationship Management: Manage customer relationships and ensure best in class communication levels are implemented and maintained. This includes working closely with the customer experience team to ensure adequate management of customer complaints and working closely with the sales team to ensure customers' purchases are satisfied, and liaising with clients, internal technical and sales teams, and our certified partners to ensure that communication regarding deals is on schedule.
    • Sales Operations: ensure all reporting and metrics are updated and oversee sales administration, such as responding to emails and phone calls, creating renewable energy proposals, coordinating interdepartmental meetings, and ensuring customer data is accurate and current.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments within the organisation, such as marketing, engineering, project operations and & maintenance and customer experience, to ensure that the sales team is aligned and supported through the sales process.
    • Manage Customer Experience Plan: track, monitor, improve and implement the customer experience strategy created for the support team
    • Remain Legally Compliant: All legal documentation for Compliance is correctly signed, countersigned and filed under the correct project on our internal software, per audit requirements.
    • Any other job duties associated with this role.
