Your Key Responsibilities

• Undertake the necessary registration and demonstration trials in various countries with regard to the product range.
• Evaluate and communicate trial results to the international Executive and the Regulatory Specialist.
• Assist in drafting crop programmes, promotional material and presentations for the product range.
• Understand the requirements of the farmer and how and where the product range will fit into his farming practice.
• Evaluate competitor products in the various markets in order to position the product range strategically.
• Management and guidance of shared resources in African countries.

Our Required Expertise

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Post matric qualification in Agronomy and Soil Sciences is essential.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years relevant experience in the agricultural chemical industry is essential.
• Must have work experience in servicing clients in other African countries.
• Basic budgeting and cost control.
• Must have a sound knowledge of the international markets.
• Must be able to gauge the level of understanding of the client in respect of new technology.
• Knowledge of .NET advantageous.
• Must be prepared to travel into Africa and other international countries for long periods at a time.
• Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license, have own reliable transport and be medically fit to drive.

A well-established, prestigious speciality chemical and manufacturing group requires the above to grow and develop the biological product range internationally and to identify strategic distribution avenues to market. This role is Chemistry / Microbiology orientated and the successful individual will understand these specific products derived from living organisms, such as plants, beneficial insects, animals, microorganisms (microbials), and others.

Your key responsibilities:

• Undertake the necessary registration trials in various countries with regard to the Biological product range.
• Evaluate and communicate trial results to the international registration specialist, relevant area manager and international executive.
• Assist in drafting promotional material and presentations for the Biological product range.
• Have a solid technical knowledge of the product range, which includes biological products, to assist farmers technically on the farm.
• Soil science knowledge will be very useful in understanding the environmental aspects on the farm, and hence the requirement of the farmer.
• Understand the requirements of the farmer and how and where the biological product range will fit into his farming practice.
• Attend farmers’ days and promote the biological product range.
• Undertake demonstration trials on farm.
• Train clients on the Biological product rang.
• Evaluate competitor products in the various markets in order to position the biological product range strategically.

Our required expertise:

• Matric / Grade 12 with Maths and Science or NQF equivalent.
• Post matric agricultural qualification – BAgric or BSc or an MSc in microbiology or pathology would be preferable.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years relevant experience in the agricultural field is a prerequisite with particular reference to biological prodcust, soil science knowledge will be advantageous.
• Sound knowledge of the international market.
• Knowledge of .NET would be advantageous.
• Prepared to travel into Africa and other international countries for long periods at a time.
• Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license, have own reliable transport.
