    Supervisor: Sponsorships

    Description

    The Sponsorship Supervisor drives the Company's sponsorship strategies and the portfolio of sponsorship broadcasts. He/She will identify and pursue potential sponsors after targeted research.

    Sponsorship Agreements

    • Drawing up of all sponsorship and broadcast agreements including but not limited to competition terms and conditions.
    • Conduct negotiation of extension of sponsorship agreements.
    • Conduct negotiation of sponsorship agreements.
    • Craft official responses to sponsors' dissatisfaction with sponsorship agreements.
    • Manage official responses to unfulfilled deliverables of any and all sponsorship related agreements.

    Sponsorship Administration

    • Develop plans to close gaps in sponsorship portfolio.
    • Develop proposals in alignment to sponsorship strategies.
    • Develop sponsorship strategies with insights from market research, portfolio gap analysis and overall strategies.
    • Enforce corporate governance measures.
    • Evaluate how latest technology trends can be used to improve productivity and innovation.
    • Formulate research parameters to identify industry and market trends for development of sponsorship strategies.
    • Identify potential sponsors to support new sponsorships for the organisation.
    • Implement department's recruitment and retention efforts (can we remove this please).
    • Manage budgets in alignment with departmental work plans (can we remove this please).
    • Manage onboarding of new sponsors.
    • Propose sponsorship performance metrics and key performance indicators.
    • Provide on-the-job training to staff.
    • Recommend improvements for future sponsorship partnerships to achieve better outcomes for sponsors.
    • Review terms of sponsorship agreements to ensure they are financially viable.

    Monthly Sponsorship Billings

    • Liaising with the Sponsorship Co-ordinators on all sponsorship contracts and assisting on all monthly billing queries.

    eNCA and OpenView External Channel Liaison

    • Act as both internal and external liaison.

    Snap-e

    • Reporting and implementing campaigns on Snap-e (In-Content).

    Find and Replace

    • Implementing campaigns for Find and Replace (In-Content).

    Sponsorship Post Campaign and Case Studies

    • Working closely with MI and AE’s on the Post Campaign process of all sponsorships / alternative revenue.
    • Updating the Sales Team on any programme changes/ updates on all eMedia platforms.

    Field Producer

    Description

    The Field Producer would be required to manage outside broadcast and live crossings.   

    Planning Outside Broadcasts  

    • Liaise with event organisers.
    • Secure times and dates for outside broadcast.
    • Arrange guests for live crossings/interviews.
    • Conduct assessment for suitability of venue.
    • Ensure interviews with a variety of voices.
    • Ensure lives are conducted on time.

    Communication

    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Close liaison with Assignments, News Editors and Logistics.

    Research

    Implementation

    Equipment 

    • Have good knowledge of broadcast equipment for eg: SNG vans, eLink, LiveU etc.

    Marketing Intelligence Specialist

    Description

    The Marketing Intelligence Specialist is responsible for supporting the sales teams by arming with media consumption information and facts and providing go to market presentations for them to go out and sell airtime. 

    Research

    • Understanding research and analysing data using specialist industry resources.
    • Receiving, understanding, analysing and making industry research available to relevant sales staff.
    • Evaluating effectiveness of campaigns in order to inform future campaigns.
    • Monitoring, tracking and analysing all competitor activity.
    • Identifying target audience/s and analysing their characteristics, behaviour and media habits.
    • Providing updates on all CPP deals.
    • Proactively identify trends that may affect current or potential revenue streams across channels.
    • Determine market trends and analysis.
    • Compile and submit reports to the Chief Commercial Officer, Group Head of Sales and other reports that may be required from time to time.
    • Monthly presentations on the eMedia and competitor channel findings.
    • Assist in training and educating the Sales Teams with media industry information with regards to viewing behaviour and viewing patterns, trended competitor analysis and all information that is relevant pertaining to TV viewing.

    Client Liaison

    • Managing Account Executive and client/agency relationships to build respect and trust in your judgment.
    • Attending client/agency meetings, with Account Executives.
    • Attending external meetings such as BRC, Telmar, and The Nielsen Company.

    Quality Assurance Reviewer - Afrikaans Content

    Key Deliverables

    Specific Tasks and Outcomes

    Quality Assurance

    • Analysing audio and video quality of programmes in real time.
    • Ensuring that the technical requirements and/or quality of all media operations material is in line with the Internal and External broadcasting specifications.
    • Ensuring that all timings and other relevant information are correctly loaded on the Media and Broadcasting Management systems.
    • Ensuring that all material required for broadcasts are ingested and a quality assurance review is performed on ingested material as per the schedule.
    • Ensuring the correct material is captured and conforms to broadcast standards.
    • Evaluating images and processes through PSE (Photosensitive Epilepsy) test, when required.
    • Mastering finished material timeously and archiving existing projects.
    • Flagging any classification queries to be delivered.
    • Ensuring that all relevant components (audio mixes, textless elements, etc) are ingested on International Masters.
    • Reviewing and responding to daily shift and missing media reports when on shift.

    Editing

    • Editing material as and when required according to stakeholder requirements.

    Key Performance Indicator 1

    • Analysing audio and video quality of programmes in real time to ensure that the technical quality of all media operations material aligns with global and organizational broadcasting standards and specifications.
    • Ensure programme timings are loaded accurately into the Broadcast Management System upon full completion of video analysis.
    • Ensure subtitles are reviewed for spelling/grammatical errors.

    Key Performance Indicator 2

    • Programmes are edited according to client specifications.
    • SRT Files, audio mixes, opening and closing credits, and textless versions are edited and administered accordingly to standard operating procedures.
    • Subtitles are flagged and/or corrected to ensure there are no grammatical or spelling errors.
    • Correct SOM and EOM timings are identified for segments breaks and correct markers are placed on the programme to create programming segmentation and breaks.
    • Files are formatted accurately in multiple file wrappers and codecs.
    • Titles are edited as per distributor/broadcaster specifications (video type, audio configuration etc).
    • Key Performance Indicator 3
    • Technical problems identified are resolved and/or reported timeously to supervisor.
    • Non-TX reports are prepared in detail, with full description or errors and timings identified.
    • Records are maintained and feedback reports are prepared and distributed.
    • Shift Reports are attended to, and feedback provided to relevant stakeholders.

    Key Performance Indicator 4

    • Files are moved or copied to the correct folders as outlined by the standard operating procedures.
    • LIVE recordings are identified, set up, recorded, and processed timeously for rebroadcast.
    • Media Reports are created before download of logs and DBI’s are processed in time for broadcast.
    • Ensuring that the programmes required for broadcast are ingested and a quality assurance review is performed on ingested material as per the given schedule.
    • Ensure correct timings (SOM and EOM) are ingested.
    • Ensure that no errors exist on broadcast ready media.

    Requirements

    • A National Diploma in Video Editing
    • A minimum of 1-2 years experience within a similiar role
    • Fluent in Afrikaans
