    Field Service Specialist - S4 (Kempton Park)

    The Role

    • Get customer satisfaction by installing, repairing, inspecting and commissioning service, considering economical and other aspects. Advanced problem solving by using of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, operational or process problems; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately in different kinds of situations.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Advanced repairs and inspections of products and equipment of different kind at customer site or own premises.
    • Report and document results after above actions.
    • Responsible for plan, conduct and maintain tools and equipment for service work.
    • Deep knowledge of the tasks, tools and procedures associated with providing technical support to the sales team and customers.
    • Support the customer’s product/equipment/processes by suggesting possible improvements to more advanced technical solutions and products.
    • Take into consideration energy efficiency, environmental impact and maintenance costs when giving customer support.
    • Provide advanced technical support and advice to the sales team.

    Service Contact Technician - Secunda

    Job Description

    • Provides technical support in Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance. Maintains and improves machines and equipment to increase or maintain a high level of reliability, availability, cost efficiency and performance. Facilitate customer relations in the face of the customer and promote collaboration and teamwork.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Electrical Mechanical and Maintenance operations.
    • Preventive maintenance, perform corrective actions, support planning and preparation, monitors outcome, documentation (outcome, root cause, time, improvements).
    • Conduct Risk Assessments, Shift Reporting, and Incident Reporting.
    • Work in accordance with standard operating procedures.

    Product Support Manager - Kempton Park

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to ensure all employees are provided with a safe and healthy working environment. This includes compliance with the Sandvik safety management program.
    • Ensure the machine specification and options list are maintained to avoid localized development and a decline in profitability.
    • Provide the Sales Area with any knowledge or information required to develop a solution that meets a prospective customer's need.
    • Conduct analysis of competitor offerings and communicate this information to Sales Areas and Product Lines.
    • Provide input on possible technical and application changes to drive product improvements via Product Management and communicate with the Offering Team to ensure Product Roadmaps cater to future requirements.
    • Monitor and report on trends for changes to current specifications across the Underground Drills offering.
    • Build a solid working relationship with the Business Line Manager and keep them updated and informed of product line activities within each specific product line.
    • Provide input to engineering with regards to any liability or risk-related performance issues and where applicable coordinate safety recall or safety-related bulletins in terms of distribution and understanding to the Sales Area.
    • Actively participate in New Product Development planning and customer validation when required (normally Gate 0 to Gate 2).
    • Provide performance data to the respective Product Line Manager to allow management of the product over its life cycle.
    • In conjunction with technical support teams, review warranty claims to understand any trend or pattern and provide input to product management and/or engineering.
    • In conjunction with product management teams identify opportunities where new products can be trialled.
    • Manage a team of Product Masters.

    Your Profile:

    • Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
    • At least 5 years of Underground Drills product line experience
    • Sound business acumen
    • Ability to influence and negotiate
    • Ability to resolve problems and manage customer and stakeholder relationships
    • Ability to analyze data
    • Must be medically fit to operate in an underground environment

    A&I Trainee Technician - S2 (Kempton Park)

    The Role:

    • Provides technical support to Production/Planning department/Technical department on a variety of technical tasks in order to achieve improvements in production and operation processes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develops and recommends procedures and methods and prepares technical reports and documentation.
    • Performs technical evaluations of events to determine root cause; recommends corrective action.
    • Monitors instruments and equipment and collects operating data including calibration, inspection, testing and repair activities to assist in making on-line adjustments to instruments, equipment or products.
    • Analyzes and resolves malfunctions and deviations of instruments and control systems to identify and resolve problems.
    • Conducts analyses and prepares reports using metrics from salvage tracking, trending, reporting and root cause analyses.
    • Maintains process designs to optimize process and facility use while conforming to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
