    Category Buyer - JHB

    Ideally as a Category Buyer, you will possess the following :

    • Qualification: Bachelor's Degree preferably within Business or Engineering.+ CIPS qualification 
    • Experience: procurement experience; strategic sourcing an added advantage 
    • Tools: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft and relevant IT tools. Ideally previous experience in ERP Systems, preferably SAP 
    • Competencies and Skills: Key functional competencies include supply chain knowledge, procurement processes, internal stakeholder management, procurement law, monitor & measure performance, procurement applications, strategic sourcing process, industry & category expertise, category profile analysis, supplier negotiation and management, contract management, benefit tracking

    Activities

    As a Category Buyer, you will be responsible for the following activities :

    HSSE: 

    • To effectively manage and minimise HSE risk within area of responsibility by ensuring: 
    • Compliance with all HSE Policies, rules, guideline and legal requirements
    •  Promotion of safe working environment and positively contributing to the company HSE KPIs and risk reduction strategies 
    • That HSE competency requirements are identified & enforced within area of responsibility 

    ADMINISTRATION: 

    • The role largely plays an administrative role to support Category Managers in the execution of their category deliverables
    •  To create the purchase orders on SAP and release PR on My eProc as per the requisitions submitted by various departments for TMSA and NBE affiliates 
    •  Releasing of PR’s entails checking that correct purchasing processes were followed, against valid supplier contract and correct rates, valid Due Diligence in place (DD)  
    • To track daily that all PRs are approved within the set SLA – provide report to Category Manager
    •  To follow up on all queries by business and resolve all queries and issues relating to purchase orders; pricing; vendors, material numbers; etc 
    • To assist Category Specialists with loading of contracts and catalogues on AGORA / SAP / My eProc 
    • To assist to in ensuring TMSA procurement targets are met including affirmative procurement objectives; savings etc 
    • To assist the Category Manager with all reporting requirements including tracking of purchasing department KPI’s
    •  Master Data management – upload of new vendors; manage change of vendor information and communicate with the Vendors and internal customers 

    STRATEGIC SOURCING:

    •  Provide support to category manager/specialist (market analysis; spend analysis and other internal/external data) 
    •  To support Category Specialists and Category Managers in developing purchasing plans
    •  Conduct RFQ/EPP etc for all low value requests (below R500K), or as requested by Category Manager from time to time
    •  To negotiate pricing with suppliers where there is no contract To negotiate savings for all tactical purchases and ensure savings are loaded on Agora
    •  To collect data on internal factors such as spend and customer requirement analysis 
    •  To collect data on external factors such as market analysis - industry and market dynamics, and products/services trends including supplier financials and capabilities (products / services, quality levels), cost models; using available and defined sources of information + market reports, internet sources
    •  To assist in the development of Request for information (RFI) or Supplier One-on-One Questionnaires to collect supplier information
    •  To prepare fact-based negotiation package which supports Category managers/specialist in the negotiation process 

    GOVERNANCE: 

    • To collect and consolidate data on contract compliance and assist category managers in introducing appropriate measures to increase compliance.'
    •  Monitor and analyse delegated spend purchases and inform Category Manager of non-compliances
    •  To ensure that business buys off the Global + Local contracts and reports non-adherence 
    • To adhere to all TMSA Purchasing policies and procedures To ensure use of correct TGP and TSA contract template and other templates where applicable 
    • To assist to in ensuring TSA’s affirmative procurement objectives are achieved by obtaining latest B-BBEE certifications from suppliers 

     STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: 

    • To assist in any communication with the Vendors and internal customers
    •  To follow up with Vendors after issuing orders in order to eliminate the discrepancy between goods & services ordered and those supplied 
    • Assist in the supplier performance management as and when required

    Pricing Analyst - JHB

    Candidate Profile

    In executing this function, the incumbent will be responsible for the following:

    • Ensure that all daily / monthly / ad hoc pricing master data updates for costing, selling prices, DAS revaluations, rebate agreements, discounts and rental contracts are done on time, accurately and that all condition types are maintained when changes occur.
    • Accurate updating of pricing in RSA and the NBLS, Uploading of these prices into Harmony Updates/Creation/Maintenance of all SD material condition types and values per accounting month Updates/Maintenance of all material & ED costing on MM environment.

    Key Account Specialist - JHB

    Candidate Profile

    • Appropriate tertiary qualification in sales/business management or administration

    Activities

    Main Responsibilities.

    • To ensure sales budgets are achieved for fuels and lubricants, and give input during the budgeting process
    • To nurture, maintain and manage good customer business relationships in the Agriculture channel of trade
    • To effectively manage price, rebates and discount levels and ensure all costs associated with customers are accounted for
    • To ensure that under-recoveries (e.g. transport, product returns, maintenance costs, etc.) are collected
    • To control the level of gross margin after variable expense (GMVE) per customer
    • To manage customer credit (resolve errors, perform reconciliation), and ensure customer service delivery

    Direct Tax Specialist - JHB

    Candidate Profile

    As a Direct Tax Specialist, ideally you will possess the following :

    • Chartered Accountant or B Com Honours in Accounting and Taxation (completed articles advantageous).
    • Post-qualification Diploma in Taxation or M Com Taxation advantageous. 
    • Accreditation with accounting or tax body.
    •  A minimum of 6 - 8 years’ experience in Corporate Tax (Tax accounting, tax compliance, tax advice and SARS Controversy). 
    • Proven knowledge of financial statements; reconciliation skills; strong financial information analysis and risk identification. 
    • Knowledge of MS Office, SAP and OneSource Corporate Tax (advantageous).

    Activities

    As a Direetc Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for the following activties 

    • Resources: The South African, Namibian, Botswana, Eswatini (NBE) Income Tax Acts, Keeping abreast of OECD proposed and enacted Tax Legislation, Relationship Building and Management with the South African and NBE Revenue Authorities for Tax Risk and Reputational Risk Management, Industry Lobbying, SAP. 
    • To ensure timeous and accurate preparation and submission of all tax returns (Income tax, provisional tax and withholding tax) as they pertain to direct taxes of the TMSA Group; 
    • To ensure timeous preparation and submission of payments to tax authorities within statutory deadlines and accounting thereof in the general ledger; 
    • To perform timeous and accurate reconciliation of all withholding taxes and direct tax accounts, including deferred tax at year-end for accounting purposes and disclosure to the Annual Financial Statements; 
    • To ensure timeous and accurate preparation of monthly current tax and deferred tax computations, and preparation of tax journals for the Group; 
    • Perform quarterly review of risky accounts such as legal fees, consulting fees, overseas travelling, donations, repairs and maintenance, bad debts etc. for tax implications;
    • To manage the Tax Asset Register to ensure correct treatment of assets purchases, disposals, scrapping and expensing; 
    • Annual update and submission of the TMSA Groups transfer pricing policies; 
    • Assist with external, internal and SARS audits on all direct tax matters of the TMSA Group; 
    • To support the NBE country finance teams on tax issues;
    • To assess the tax implications of the business transactions to optimize tax advantages, minimize tax liability and ensure the correct implementation of new business transactions;

    Retail: Lubes and LPG Coordinator - JHB

    Candidate Profile

    • Business Degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience gained in a petrochemical sales environment. 
    • Understanding of TMSA Network and supporting function business models and processes.
    • Previous experience in business and/or sales pipeline development would be advantageous 
    • A project background and the ability to work with project management tools would be advantageous 
    • Previous experience within the Lubricants and LPG fields would be advantageous 
    • Demonstrated skill in working across multiple business divisions/departments to ensure the successful delivery of projects  
    • Knowledge and deep entrenchment of TotalEnergies ambitions and values as well as roadmaps, including TMSA’s policies and procedures 
    • People Management & Communication Skills. 

    Activities

    The Lubes and LPG coordinator manages the implementation of the Lubricants and LPG Strategy and key initiatives on behalf of the Retail Sales division: 

    • This role reports directly to the Retail National Sales Manager and plays a key role in ensuring that the Lubricants and LPG strategies developed by the respective divisions overseeing these business streams are implemented successfully within the Retail environment.  Lubricants and LPG are seen as key focus areas for developing additional revenue streams for both TMSA Retail and the Dealers.
    • Role will be responsible for the financial performance of the Lubricants and LPG business within Retail with focus on both Volume and GMVC contribution; Assist the Retail National Sales Manager to ensure that RSM’s are taking responsibility for Lubricants and LPG sales in their respective geographic areas. 
    • Provide daily/monthly business performance analysis for Lubricants and LPG to address underperforming sites and put in place corrective actions together with the RSM and TM. 
    • Key aspect of the role is to Manage the inter-departmental relationships with TMSA Lubricants division and the TMSA Gas division through regular steering committees and ongoing interaction with the respective management and sale teams. The individual in the role will act as the co-ordinator for the steering committees and oversee the meetings. 
    • Role requires 40% of time to be spent in the field at Retail site level ensuring that the business requirements are being implemented; Individual to work closely with the Regional Sales Managers (RSM’s) and Territory Managers (TM’s) to track and report on performance by site versus the agreed objectives. 
    • Attend RSM team meetings at least once per month to ensure that Lubricants and LPG business related topics are discussed and feedback provided on performance versus KPI’s. 
    • Work with the TM’s to ensure that every retail site in the network is selling TotalEnergies Lubricants as per their contractual requirements – tracking of Fuel/Lubricant ratio per site to determine specific areas of focus and intervention. 
    • Ensure every retail site is adhering to the Lubricants planogram; Assist TM’s to determine the optimal Lubricant product offering per site based on area specific environmental and LSM factors; Work with the Lubricants division to develop the required training requirements per region to support the retail site staff in developing Lubricant product knowledge. 
    • Provide guidance to Dealers on recommended Lubricants and LPG selling prices through regular market assessment’s, product and site benchmarking vs competitors and by understanding the Dealers profitability at site level; This activity to be done in conjunction with the TMSA Lubricants and Gas divisions. 
    • Work with the TM’s to ensure that every site that has the authorization to market gas is only selling TotalEnergies approved and branded gas cylinders – assist the TM in addressing non-compliant dealers through the agreed contractual process. 
    • Develop a pipeline of potential Retail sites that are positioned to market gas and work with the TMSA Gas team to bring these sites on board – onboarding of new sites to be aligned with the agreed business development KPI’s for the segment; Project manage the process for bringing new sites on board including site readiness, required site certification, supply processes in place, HSE requirements in place, localized marketing plan, pricing recommendations etc 
    • Act as the key liaison with TMSA Gas division to identify and address any supply chain issues impacting performance at retail site level; Provide input on areas of improvement and ensure appointed Resellers that supply the retail sites are adhering to supply and stock management committments 
    • Assist TMSA Gas division with the identification of potential Gas resellers within the Retail network. 
    • Assist TMSA Lubricants division with the identification of potential Lubricants resellers within the Retail network in line with the Distributor Management System (DMS); Once established, support Lubricant Resellers on customer identification, pricing and product strategies and basic technical support requirements. 
    • Work with the Lubricants and Retail divisions marketing teams to develop marketing and promotional campaigns specific to the Retail Network. Ensure that post campaign reviews are completed to evaluate success and to assist in developing future campaigns; Provide input into proposed Retail Lubricant incentive programmes to support volume growth at site level. 
    • Assist in the process of developing a 3 monthly national Sale Forecast on Gas Cylinders taking into account all individual site requirements to support TMSA Gas in ensuring an uninterrupted supply and to manage stock levels at the appointed resellers.
    • Become a key user on SALSA to ensure the effective management and tracking of the Lubricants and LPG business streams within retail. 
    • Act as the key point of contact for the TotalEnergies group on any Retail related topics linked to Lubricants and LPG. 

    HSSE:

    • To effectively manage and minimize HSSE risk within area of responsibility by ensuring:
    • Compliance with all HSSE Policies, rules, guideline and legal requirements; Including HACCP enforcement and monitoring
