    Senior Bridge Engineer

    • This person must have a strong bridge design background and understanding of the construction of bridge and similar structure. The candidate must have the ability to work collaboratively within different multi-disciplinary and multi0cultural teams.

    Role Responsibilities 

    • Perform design and analysis of complex concrete/steel bridge structures and temporary works in accordance with the relevant design codes and standards
    • Deliver design documentation including drawings, specifications, and reports in accordance with client quality standards
    • Managing, providing technical advice, and liaising with relevant professional staff across multiple international locations
    • Ensuring full responsibility and accountability for all related design aspects, from conceptional to final design
    • Assist in the supervision and guidance of junior engineers and overview design calculations and details of the other engineers, modellers, and drafters
    • Develop innovative design alternates for options studies, tender designs, cost savings, etc
    • Ability to work on fast paced design and construct projects and pursuits
    • Provide construction phase support on a wide array of projects and structural types
    • Perform load ratings for bridge structures

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Minimum of 10 years Bridge Design experience
    • Strong technical skills in Bridge Design
    • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to frequent project changes
    • Ability to provide engineering guidance/direction and maintain standards
    • Accuracy and effectiveness in latest digital technology
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently
    • Ability to interpret and communicate information of a complex technical nature
    • Good report writing and presentation skills and a good communicator
    • Strong project leadership skills
    • Understanding of business and financial drivers
    • Achievement and action orientated; solutions focussed

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree (BSc/MSc or BEng/Meng) in Structural/civil Engineering
    • Professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA), or a mutually recognised international organisation
    • Design and documentation experience to the Euro Code/AASTHO will be advantageous
    • Middle East project experience will be advantagous
    • Demonstrate strong technical skills in complex structural analysis including construction stage analysis and design of various types of bridge structures
    • A strong background and experience with Midas Civil/Midas FEA/CSI software packages is an advantage
    • Working knowledge in Revit and BIM workflow are required
    • International project experience (outside Africa beneficial)

    People Connect Administrator (HR Administrator)

    Role responsibilities 

    • This will be a 12 month fixed term role where the candidate will work within the People /HR team. The Service Desk Analysts will be in charge of assessing, analyzing and resolving  requests received about Deltek - related issues, as well as referring requests to other units as needed.
    • Among your responsibilities will be receiving HR and Workday / Deltek support requests from end users, collecting information from users using a variety of support tools, and working with other analysts/administrators as needed.
    • At all times, The HR Service Desk Analysts must provide an excellent customer-service experience for end-users and resolve support requests in a timely manner. You will provide a single point of contact for clients and adhere to support procedures while respecting privacy regulations when handling sensitive data. 
    • You will follow up on all support requests and make sure internal clients are satisfied with your services.  Actively participate in staff meetings to make recommendations to streamline process flow .Must provide improved service levels, higher quality and reliability, standardized processes and best practices, not to mention the customer satisfaction element. To be effective in this position, you must possess advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Contracts Manager

    About the role: 

    • Zutari’s East London office is seeking an experienced Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Tech with experience mainly in Contracts Administration to join the team working on a range of Civil Infrastructure projects specifically within municipal and water space.  This is a great opportunity for a respected engineer to join a global consultancy delivering world class projects to clients on a global basis.

    Responsibilities: 

    • Contract administration of construction contracts including Civil Engineering projects (municipal, and water), electrical and mechanical engineering projects, design and build as well as EPC/EPCM
    • Assist in the development of Aurecon standardized documentation, and contract strategies for projects.
    • Monitoring and compliance of procurement procedures and requirements
    • Manage contractor's claims and disputes
    • Manage all aspects of variations concerning the various projects worked on.
    • Manage all other commercial and contractual processes
    • Ensure compliance with OH&S and environmental requirements
    • Deliver excellent client service
    • Coaching and mentoring junior technical staff
    • Apply Site Management System based on ISO 9001 QMS

    Requirements:

    • BEng/BSc/ B-Tech in Civil Engineering
    • Pr.Eng or Pr Tech Eng Registration with ECSA (i.e. Candidates eligible for Professional Registration maybe considered)
    • Pr CPM Registration with SACPCPM will be an advantage
    • Minimum 8 - 15 years’ experience as an Contracts Engineer / Employers Agent within Contracts Administration with thorough working knowledge of conditions of contract (FIDIC, NEC, GCC and JBCC)
    • Proficient Microsoft Office skills required

    Revit Engineering Designer

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Applies a variety of standard drafting methods and techniques to convert the designs, plans and layouts of engineers into a set of technical outputs.
    • Ability to use basic to intermediate 2D Drafting and 3D modelling systems to produce outputs which may feed drawings or federated model/s.
    • Assist more experienced drafters and modellers in the preparation of simple to moderately complex outputs.
    • Developing specialism, including knowledge of quality and safety standards and regulations, in area of discipline for civil/structural.
    • Developing deep technical and digital expertise. Learns new and emerging technologies and ways of working.
    • Prioritises and systematically organises assigned tasks and understands how they relate to the larger client project.

    • Structural Steel detailing experience

    Principal Digital Modeler

    Role Requirements

    • Set up virtual models for Electrical and Electronic services in the Buildings unit making use of Revit and relevant tools. Use of Dynamo/Add ins will be advantageous
    • Coordinate your designs with other engineering services to ensure your designs are constructible and without clashes, using e.g. Navisworks/Revit/BIM360/ACC
    • Manage geometric & design information between Revit and Engineering schedules ensuring a live link is maintained.
    • Make use of all digital tools available to aid design, modelling, and review/verification processes
    • Liaise with engineers and other project team members within a multidisciplinary environment
    • Owning and meet deadlines by producing high quality deliverables on time
    • Contributing to knowledge libraries as required, and to new workflows and improved efficiencies

    Minimum Requirements

    • B,Tech or BSc Electrical or National Diploma.
    • Minimum of 5 years or more experience as an Electrical Digital Modeller (ICT or electrical designs)
    • ACP (Autodesk Revit Certification) , as well as interest in automation, and other MEP experiences will be highly beneficial.
