    Agri Technical & Sales Manager - Fruit Industry - Letsitele

    Job purpose:

    • Responsible for management of all technical & sales aspects of the businesses located in Letsitele including operations, marketing and research.

    Qualifications and Experience required.

    • Bachelor’s in science or relevant horticulture degree
    • 3 to 5 years’ experience in agriculture / nursery business
    • Driving licence Competencies and Skills
    • Organisational skills: efficient and accurate planning
    • Team-player, but able to work independently
    • Resource and time management
    • Problem solving ability.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    Operations / Production

    • Manage and monitor production activities and personnel.
    • Manage and monitor product and service quality, and standards.
    • Strategically evaluate operations for improvements and efficiencies
    • Maintain a safe and environmentally friendly working environment.

    Client communication

    • Develop a working knowledge of the various crops (Citrus + sub-tropical crops)
    • Ensure client satisfaction (timeous communication and tree quality)
    • Engage in workshops, symposia, marketing and sales travelling programmes.
    • Monitor local and international markets opportunities.

    Administration

    • Upkeep of records
    • Provide various monthly reports.

    Farming Management Controller _ Fruit Industry - Stellenbosch

    The position

    • They are looking for a Controller to focus on the following functions:
    • Calculation and analysis of production and marketing costs.
    • Preparation of control reports, with operational and financial metrics of the farms, to support the decision-making process.
    • Budgeting, forecasting and analytical reporting of each individual farm.
    • Monthly management account compilation (Farming)
    • Assisting the Finance team with investment appraisals (Farming).
    • Internal control of business processes, with definition of adherence KPIs
    • Analysis of results, and weekly report of costs and deviations through dashboard
    • Ad-hoc analysis, and continued improvement approach, in cooperation with the rest of the areas.

    The requirements

    • Bachelor in Business Administration. MBA would be valuable.
    • Advanced level of Excel is essential, and analysis/reporting tools such as Power BI
    • Analytical and proactive profile.
    • English language (C2)

    Operation & Logistics Coordinator - Fruits & Nuts

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION:

    • BCom or any tertiary qualification.
    • Experience in a similar role will count in the candidate's favour.

    Job purpose: 

    • Become part of the finance and internal audit department of the Group.

    Key Accountability Areas:

    • Responsible for completion and maintaining of financial records.
    • Responsible for consolidation and submission of SARS returns.
    • Responsible for monthly consolidation of group asset registers.
    • Assist with insurance and foreign exchange transactions.
    • Assist with internal audit fieldwork and reporting.
    • Assist with ad hoc financial calculations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Administration linked to Account being managed: Price files, validation reports, raw material supply & pricing, sales tracking, order fill monitoring, loading new launches, weekly and monthly reporting, PIR’s, redundant stock.
    • Product costings, working with NPD and customer to achieve desired products and price points.
    • Verifying  costings against SYSPRO, once loaded and actioning corrections
    • Analyzing sales and margin performance. Continually reviewing Sales performance to ensure max. opportunities are attained in growing the business &  identifying profit improvement initiatives.
    • Negotiations: Bi-Annual price reviews with Woolworth’s and other customers, ensuring margin maintenance & Profitability across category. Information gathering & interrogation.
    • Project Management/ Problem solving: Continual investigations and problem solving across various projects with facilities and customer. Critical path analysis, and timeline delivery.
    • Teamwork and communication with relevant matrix teams across site.
    • Customer relationships & service: Presenting and negotiating pricing and promotions.
    • Annual Budgeting: Compiling and setting up Sales Budget for the Site and trackers to monitor performance weekly, Mthly, Biannually and Full Year performance.
    • Market analysis: Trends, comparative pricing, identifying gaps and opportunities
    • Category management, all encompassing to drive sales growth and relationships with customer and suppliers.
