    Payroll Assurance Analyst

    Job Description:

    With the support of the Payroll Assurance Coordinator you will drive the integration of the Payroll to end processes, the adherence to legislative and statutory requirements through analytical problem solving and structured controls. Driving continuous improvement and customer value add with problem solving initiatives informed by data analytics and efficient audit and compliance structures.

    Your key responsibilities will include:  

    • Coordinate and control of the accurate processing of all input documentation according to SLA measures within the available timeframe

    • Coordinate and control all the weekly and monthly checklists

    Payroll Recons Administrator

    Job Description:

    You are responsible to contribute to the successful completion of GSS activities within agreed upon deadlines. The incumbent will also be primarily responsible for providing support with payroll general ledger balance sheet reconciliations.

    Your key responsibilities will include:  

    Under the leadership of the Payroll Assurance Coordinator, complete the following activities in accordance with agreed service levels

    • Follow appropriate procedures to accurately, consistently and efficiently resolve payroll financial queries and provide guidance on completion of payroll account analysis and reconciliations on payroll general ledger accounts

    • Investigate and close any escalated issues stemming from subordinates and escalate any issues that can’t be resolved to the appropriate position

    • Drive compliance to audit findings and ensure quality implementation and resolution

    • Actively collaborate within own team and in the wider payroll team to build capacity and relations

    • Follow appropriate procedures to accurately, consistently and efficiently capture transactions or resolve queries

    • Ensure that issues and incidents are logged, driving implementation of actions

    • Facilitate appropriate stakeholder engagements to manage SLA deliverables

    As the Section Engineering Manager, you will be accountable for the overall engineering asset management across a clearly defined portion of the overall complex operation.

    This role is in the Technical Engineering Services Department at a Band 6 level reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager and Concentrator Manager.

    Qualifications:

    • Government Certificate of Competency (Mines and Works)

    • Post-graduate qualification in engineering will be advantageous. 

    • Five years Post Engineering qualification experience

    • Experience in SAP Planned Maintenance

    GSS GRC Manager

    Job Description:

    The Purpose of the Group Finance GRC function is to facilitate the transfer of appropriate financial control systems into the business. Group Finance GRC sets standards in relation to governance, risk and regulatory compliance requirements and monitors and improves Anglo American’s compliance with those requirements.

    This position is a Business Unit(BU) or Function facing Management role within the Finance GRC Team. You will have a key Business unit or Function as your key stakeholder

    • Advising and guiding your operation in application of Group Finance risk management systems

    • Establish finance risk calibration systems and drive the measurement of risk for the Shared Services Function against the group’s risk appetite.

    • Identifying codes, practices and technology relevant to internal controls within the Shared Services Function.

    • Ensure that the function internal control framework and components are effectively implemented, applied and reported on.

    • Monitor the implementation of the risk management frameworks and standards by the Shared Services Function

    Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Auditing/Finance/ Risk, compliance and governance law or equivalent is a minimum requirement

    • Registration with a professional body as a Qualified Accountant

    • Vast experience at managerial level in the Risk & Compliance environment

    • Experience in auditing principles and practices

    • Experience operating in a US Listed Sarbanes-Oxley regulated entity would be favourable

    Job Description:

    As the Electrician you will provide an engineering service to a surface area. You will be required to maintain, install and commissioning of the machinery and equipment to an agreed standard in the area of responsibility.

    Instrumentation Mechanician

    Job Description:

    As an Instrumentation Mechanician your role will be to ensure that all systems are maintained and optimised to ensure that the capacity to the production process is maximised.

    Below are some key responsibilities: 

    • Identify areas to be maintained and optimised

    • Minimum 2 years post trade experience in maintenance and projects (preferably in Mining or Smelter)

    • Basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics, PLC (Programmable Logic Control) system and electrics. 

    • Must be able to work standby shifts and overtime

    • English literate and good decision-making skills

    Metallurgical Technical Engineer

    Job Description:

    As a Metallurgical Technical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the Technical Manager to optimise and continually improve the technical operation of the plant. You will ensure technical audit of the plant is conducted to required standards for plant improvement. 

    You will be responsible for:

    • Directing and advising the Metallurgical team, scoping work and ensuring resources are allocated correctly and efficiently

    • Assist in scheduling of tasks for the team

    • Calling out specialist expertise when technical problems occur

    • Changing technical parameters to minimise the effect of unexpected problems

    • Monitor, trend, interpret, and report plant Key Process Parameters for discussion with central technical structure

    • Conduct technical reviews and capacity studies on process equipment and plant sections

    • Application of best practice in process safety

    • Stopping the operation if the working conditions are unsafe

    • Troubleshoot and resolve operation problems within plant operating “recipe”

    • Ongoing support to plant production team to achieve operational goals

    • Provide detailed analyses of process control/plant performance relationships

    • Identifying employees suitable for further technical training

    This role is a Band 6 level and will report to the Technical Manager. A technical Metallurgy team will report to you. 

    Qualifications:

    You should have:

    • A Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry

    • Post graduate qualification will be advantageous

    • Valid driving license code B or EB

    You should have the following experience: 

    • 5 years or more post-qualification experience in technical management of metallurgy processes or development projects

    • Experience with refining operations will be advantageous.

    Additional requirements:

    • Essential to be deemed medically fit to work onsite in accordance with Anglo American Health and Safety requirements for employees

    Knowledge and Skills required: 

    • Good technical ability

    • Good technical report writing and presentation skills

    • Computer skills for role including data evaluation in numeric processing software (e.g. Excel)

    • Understanding of change management principles

    • Sound understanding of mass and energy balance principles

    • Base understanding of business case development

    • Good technical understanding of process control systems
