    Direct Sales Representative - Basket 2 (Pretoria West)

    Description
    Objective: To promote key products to Retail, Corporate &Hospital Pharmacies as well as Dispensing Doctors on both originator and generic ranges within the Ethicare product portfolios.

    Main Duties:

    • To effectively manage the territory.
    • To promote both generic and originator product portfolios at customer level.
    • Provide ongoing customer support.
    • Add value to an entrepreneurial climate.
    • Achieve market share objectives and assist in achieving sales targets.
    • Effective territory expense and control management.
    • Relationship management.
    • Tracking, analysing and improving market share.
       

    Requirements

    • Product knowledge on Aspen / Ethicare and competitor products.
    • Effective territory management.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Administrative skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Valid driver’s license.

    Qualifications And Experience

    • Matric qualification.
    • Tertiary Life Sciences qualification would be advantageous.
    • 3-5 years proven successful track record in pharmaceutical sales.
    • 3- 5 years private market ARV experience
    • Previous basket experience/exposure would be an advantage.
    • Worked this territory before (Gauteng West)- Preferably called on the Pharmacies.
    • Cemented relationships in this channel would be an advantage
    • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
    • Existing relationships with key customers in the NG West would be advantageous.

    Head of Commercial

    Description
    To drive cost optimisation and customer satisfaction by identifying and implementing opportunities for new business, optimising existing contracts, and constantly looking for cost opportunity while maximising supply reliability. to lead and drive outputs of the following units: Business Development, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Customer Account Management and New Product Launches

    Requirements
    Background/experience

    • 10 years’ related experience with strong business development, procurement & finance experience in manufacturing
    • ▪Minimum of Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Commerce or Engineering

    • Extensive procurement, financial & NBD knowledge with insight into pharmaceutical manufacturing
    • Working knowledge of commercial contracting & pharmaceutical standards/ compliance

    Responsibilities
    New Business Development (NBD) & Customer Management

    • Drive a NBD strategy aimed at identifying opportunities to maximise benefit for the operations in terms of product synergy and revenue
       

    Manage customer relations closely with supply functions to ensure customer satisfaction and maximum OTIF Procurement

    • Drive a procurement strategy aimed at optimising cost and material availability/ supplier reliability
    • Review supplier base on a continual basis to enable identification of risk to supply and to introduce mitigation plans
    • Lead procurement benchmarking process to ensure best price across all categories
       

    Finance

    • Drive a finance strategy aimed at zero base/ bottom up budgeting strategy
    • Review cost drivers to enable optimised cost of goods at all times
    • Review product line COG’s periodically to enable informed decisions on product mix
       

    Legal

    • Ensure that all new contracts are commercially sound, optimally costed, effectively resourced and in line with the latest organisational strategy
       

    Launch

    • Drive a launch process that ensures that customer and contract requirements are met with no disruptions to supply
       

    Organisational Support & Function Management

    • Participate in the development and lead the implementation of the strategic vision and direction for business critical functions across SA, as well as all related plans, policies and procedures
    • Perform financial and human resources functions to ensure optimal management of function and reporting units and their leaders
    • Manage collaboration and coordination between reporting units
    • Maintain and support positive customer engagements and problem resolution
