    Junior Buyer

    Job Description
    Primary purpose

    • Responsible for purchasing materials, supplies or equipment for a business. Their duties include negotiating deals with suppliers, researching possible item selections and taking inventory of current products.

    Key roles and responsibilities

    Purchase Order Processing

    • Prepare purchase orders and ensure the accuracy of specifications and quantities
    • Issue purchase orders to the required stakeholders
    • Obtain quotations from the relevant stakeholders
    • Adhere to all policies and procedures related to purchase order monitoring
    • Directly supports all the departments by obtaining materials and supplies needed
    • Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.

    Order Fulfilment and Delivery

    • Monitor and track order to ensure timely delivery and availability of goods
    • Ensure goods purchased meet the requirement of the company
    • Assess quality of stock received, and liaise with supplies on any discrepancies with the requested orders

    Inventory Management

    • Monitor inventory levels and place orders as required to maintain adequate stock levels
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that inventory records are updated

    Stakeholder engagement

    • Coordinate with inventory team, management, and stock / storeroom as required

    Reporting and Administration

    • Maintain records of purchases and all related information for audit purposes
    • Compile and provide purchase order reports to management containing all the required information timeously

    Job Requirements
    Education, experience, attributes:

    Knowledge, skills and attributes:

    • Strong communication and negotiation skills
    • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret trends and data
    • Knowledge of buying and purchasing protocols
    • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
    • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
    • Strong organizational skills, a good understanding of sourcing and the ability to maintain vendor relationships

    Education and training:

    • Diploma in supply chain management, business administration, commerce or related field
    • Bachelor’s degree is advantageous

    Experience:

    • 2-3 year’s experience as a Junior Buyer of in a similar position

    Reactivations Agent

    Job Description

    • The Reactivations Call Centre Agent is responsible for supporting internal customer servicing areas in the retention and alteration of active client policies. The Agent is responsible for contacting selected customers to present information and explain product offerings as part of IFS’ strategic focus on improving retention, retargeting and cross sell activities, explaining selected insurance products and associated benefits and prices, while answering any questions from customers. They ensure FAIS, FICA and POPIA standards are adhered to when dealing with customer calls and correspondence and ensure that adequate levels of knowledge on these areas held.

    Responsibilities : 

    • Understand selected products and services available to identified client segments.
    • Meeting all KPI’s targets.
    • Foster open communication through active listening.
    • Ensure accuracy in all capturing activities.
    • Address questions from clients.
    • Explain selected policy or product features. 
    • Effectively manage available the leads to maximize success rates.
    • Ensure that all communication to customers is within agreed standards.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times and adhere to legislation and service guidelines. 
    • Sales and customer services objection handling. 
    • Must be skilled in client servicing and closing of prospective sales.

    Job Requirements
    Requirements:

    • Matric / Grade 12 (Essential)
    • Outbound call centre sales experience (minimum 6 months)
    • Insurance policy servicing (advantageous)
    • Insurance experience (advantageous)
    • Criminal and credit clear (Essential)
    • Computer literacy (Essential)
    • Proficient in MS Word, Email and good typing speed (Essential)
