    Group Finance Systems and Data Specialist

    As part of the broader Group Finance systems team, your responsibilities will stretch from supporting the FP&A team (andother group finance functions) on OneStream, including maintaining, developingand building out functions in OneStream, as well as working on projects stretching from AI/ML initiatives for group finance to developing and maintaining the data strategy at groupfinanceand other finance transformation initiatives.

    Key Outputs:

    • OneStream: Learn about OneStream as we build out the application at group level:
      • How data flows to OneStream
      • What the data is used for in OneStream
      • Exploring and pushing the limits on reporting capabilities
      • Assist in building of OneStream reports and dashboards while considering how this interfaces with the data strategy
      • Constantly explore new functionalities that will drive efficiency within group finance, with a specific focus on FP&A
      • Explore how AI can be interfaced with OneStream
    • Data strategy: Set up a data strategy at for Nasper/Prosus group finance and group FP&A level. Ultimately the principle is to put the right data in the hands of the right people, largely by empowering users through providing self-service dashboards in OneStream and therefore drive business agility.
      • We want to empower people to ask and answer their own questions with data.
      • Be a champion for open communication channels and build relationships across the group to truly understand what the data strategy should cover.
      • The data strategy should support seamless, timeous and to the point reporting on financial results and encourage the right discussions at the right levels.
      • Ensure that data is accurate, trusted, and secure. Therefore, designing and maintaining good governance processes to build on the already robust financial processes in place.
    • AI and ML forecast model: The base for an automated forecast model have been laid with a proof of concept on the subject. As part of this role you will need to maintain and, together with specialists in the AI/ML field, build the model out. Maintaining the model will include managing the data that flow through to the model, therefore making the link to the data strategy crucial.
    • The data management responsibilities will include:
      • Looking at the data that is currently available and being utilized in the AI/ML model.
      • Understand the quality of this information by looking at the classification, performing trend analytics and obtaining a view of what the trends mean from the FP&A team. Thereby:
      • Identifying the shortfalls in this data and the impact it has on the AI/ML forecast model;
      • Identifying what causes the shortfalls;
      • Determine how to address the causes to improve financial data.
    • In both the data strategy and data management responsibilities above, consideration should be given to non-financial metric, both internal generated metrics and externally generated metrics.
    • Other AI and ML and finance transformation initiatives to be explored and researched for the wider group finance team.

    Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:

    • Must have a post-graduate Bachelor's degree in Finance or related
    • At least 3-4 years of technical and systems experience, preferably on finance systems
    • Solid experience in supporting finance teams, preference will be given to people with experience in working with FP&A team
    • Understands how financial data flows, where it originates from and the ultimate goal we are working toward

    Junior Systems Administrator

    The assistant will be responsible for supporting the Onestream administrators in administration of the Onestream reporting system. The assistant will create, maintain and update cube views, including creating and maintaining new forms and reports, and provide training and end-user education of the system functionality as needed.

    Other key responsibilities are listed below:

    • Provide training and end-user education of the system functionality as needed;
    • Troubleshoot end user issues, through the Freshdesk ticketing system;
    • Perform monthly and daily maintenance of Onestream;
    • Provisioning of new users;
    • Monthly Onestream access security reviews including deprovisioning users;
    • Maintain governance around the Onestream applications in respect of access and change management, etc.;
    • Workflow management tasks (updating workflows, creating new workflows);
    • Copying and balancing of data during the forecast and budget reporting cycles;
    • Maintaining and creating data transformation rules;
    • Other adhoc tasks allocated by the Onestream administrators.
    • Note: this role supports the Onestream manager in ensuring the Onestream system is operating as it should, working under the direction of the Onestream manager. They provide the day-to-day touch point with users. They are expected to work in conjunction with the manager under their guidance.

    Knowledge and Skills required:

    • Effective communication skills - clearly and concisely express ideas both verbally and in writing, and able to collaborate with others for a common objective;
    • Excellent interpersonal skills;
    • Excels in working under pressure with strict deadlines and gets the job done;
    • Attention to detail;
    • A passion for solving complex problems – able to identify, prioritise and implement solutions;
    • Strong process, governance and internal control knowledge and experience;
    • Highly trustworthy as the position will require a high level of confidentiality.

    Qualifications:

    • Must have a BComm accounting or related degree
    • At least 2-3 years HFM administrator experience
    • Experience on Onestream would be advantageous
    • Professional experience in finance, specifically related to consolidations and financial disclosure requirements
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to understand and manipulate basic spreadsheets

    Working Conditions:

    • Naspers has an international presence and footprint and accordingly travel may be required
    • As part of a global organisation with a global team, working hours require flexibility and overtime during peak periods
