    Sr. Account Executive - Energy/Mining

    IAM Lead Technical Consultant

    The Opportunity

    We are now looking for a seasoned Identity, Access and Security (IAS) Technology Consultant to join our team in South Africa, as part of the Emerging Markets (EM) region Cyber Resilience (CyberRes) Professional Services (PS) team. The CyberRes PS team provides engineering services that spans the Micro Focus’ CyberRes portfolio.

    In this role, you will work collaboratively with Identity, Access and Security (IAS) consultants, Managing Principals and Directors to deliver cutting edge services on client engagements with a world class team from around the globe. You will be accountable for deploying Identity, Access and Security (IAS) solutions to satisfy client business requirements and assist customers to utilise Identity, Access and Security (IAS) to its full potential. 

    In this role you will forge strong relationships with customers and provide them with solid advice on the Identity, Access and Security (IAS) product and be seen as a subject matter expert. Other duties would include installation of Identity, Access and Security (IAS) software, business requirements workshops, troubleshooting, performing on-going scans so the clients realise the true value of product.

    This job isn’t just about installing software and making it work; it’s about delivering the knowledge to our customers so that they can continue to utilise Identity, Access and Security (IAS)  long after you leave client site. An important aspect of this role is understanding cyber security operations and how to utilise Identity, Access and Security (IAS)  to perform daily cyber security operations tasks.

    What it takes

    • Requirements gathering, designing, implementation and testing of enterprise level IAS solutions and providing professional quality concepts and documentation to customers.
    • Working with project manager or Senior Resources to participate and communicate progress in all project phases from analysis to roll-out/
    • Participate in technical engagements and small teams, working with both internal and customer's management and delivery teams
    • Work with sales, presales and partners to identify, initiate and qualify new opportunities. Supports sales, presales and partners in opportunities (bid presentations, Request for Proposals, Proof of Concepts)
    • Communicate complex, enterprise class, technical solutions to both a technical and business audience in group and individual settings.
    • Be able to articulate and present the business and technical value of Micro Focus’ Identity and Access Management solutions to clients and partners
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex, enterprise class, technical solutions to large and small teams, working with both internal and customer's Management and delivery teams.
    • Actively contribute to IAS solutions providing information ranging from technical knowledge to implementation methodologies, based on previous project experience.
    • Using analytical and problem-solving skills, develop solutions which may consider a variety of complex business requirements.   
    • Engage with key stakeholders, both internal and external, providing expertise and technical leadership to functional project teams.
    • Act as an expert providing direction and guidance to customers IAS process and policy improvements.
    • Produce high quality documentation of a professional caliber.
    • Be prepared to work remotely or travel to customer’s premises as required.
    • Providing accurate estimation of effort for Solution implementation.
    • Providing the basic level of Identity and Access Management, Access Governance and IT-security domain knowledge of Micro Focus IAM solutions to customers and partners

    You are great at

    This role will require the following skills and expertise:

    • 10+ years working within the information and cyber security field

    A Technical Consultant with strong implementation skills in at least 5 or more of the following solutions or other vendor equivalent.

    • NetIQ Identity Manager & SSPR
    • NetIQ Access Manager
    • NetIQ Identity Governance (Access Review)
    • NetIQ Sentinel

    Desirable skills:

    • NetIQ Secure Login
    • NetIQ Privileged Account Manager
    • NetIQ Advanced Authentication Framework

    Knowledge of the following technologies will also be considered advantageous.

    • SIEM Solutions
    • Identity & Access Governance Solutions
    • Access Management, Federation and Risk Management Solutions
    • Systems & Application Management
    • Workload Management technologies
    • Service Management technologies

    Knowledge of Identity Management solutions including.

    • Directory Architectures,
    • Provisioning,
    • Role model implementations (mining, modelling, management),
    • Single Sign-On (web and desktop)
    • User management workflows
    • Auditing and reporting.
    • Privileged Access Management

    The following would also be advantageous:

    • Prince 2, PMBOK, Agile, or similar Project Management methodology
    • ToGAF, CISSP, ITIL certifications
    • Experience of development within IAM and ISM systems.
    • Experience of custom code and custom drivers within IAM and ISM systems.
    • Experience of programming within OO, C++ or Java etc.
    • Broad experience of Operating Systems, including Linux (RHEL and SLES), Microsoft Windows, Unix
    • Broad experience of Network infrastructure such as Firewalls, IP Switches etc
    • Creditable subject matter expert with leadership qualities.
    • Broad experience of customer verticals e.g. Finance, Government, Education, Healthcare
    • Knowledge of federation standards such as ADFS, SAML, Shibboleth, OpenID, OAUTH, XACML
    • Knowledge of Virtualisation, Cloud and hybrid Solutions
    • Knowledge of SaaS, IDaaS, and other XaaS solutions.
    • Experience with Oracle, RSA, SailPoint, Okta, Ping, Quest, ForgeRock, CA, Microsoft AD & FIM, LDAP, Tivoli, IAM and ISM technologies would be advantageous
