    Fund Secretarial Administrator (6 months - Temporary Contract)

    What will you do?
    Responsible to manage the client service function according to agreed standards.  Ensures that all customer queries are dealt with in an efficient manner and provides a high level of service to promote the organisation’s products and services.   Conflict resolution and problem solving are necessary characteristics.  The incumbent may provide the service internally or externally. May have supervisory responsibilities.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the drafting of section 14’s
    • Liaise with the other fund administrators in obtaining outstanding information
    • Responsible for submitting sections 14’s to the Trustees and FSCA
    • Handle section 14 queries
    • Liaise with administrators to ensure the completion of the process
    • Responsible for section 14 in process up to the date that assets has been receipted on member’s records.
    • Providing Management Information Reports to  Business’ Exco and Trustees on incoming section 14’s 

    What will make you successful in this role?

    • Matric with mathematics
    • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
    • At least 3- 5 years’ experience in Retirement Fund administration dealing with section 14’s.
    • Qualification and Experience
    • Degree or Diploma with 3 to 5 years experience.
    • Knowledge and Skills
    • Knowledge of retirement fund administration and dealing with professionals like Trustees and the FSCA.

    Fund Administrator

    What will you do?
    Under general supervision, performs a limited variety of clerical duties for functional groups involving compiling and arranging data, making standard computations, processing and coding documents and maintaining records and files.  Routines are generally prescribed and supervision is readily available.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Administration of Retirement Funds and maintenance of member level transactions across functionalsystems and functional areas within SEB Core. (Identify/process/record/report)
    • Adhere to service level agreements. (Internal and external.)
    • Adhere to internal controls and procedures in place.
    • Professional verbal and written communication and reporting to clients. (Internal and external.)
    • Investigate, resolve and respond to internal and external client queries in a professional and effectivemanner. (Verbal and in writing)
    • Investigate, resolve and respond to ad hoc operational requirements. (Verbal and in writing.)
    • A thorough understanding of and compliance with the Pension Fund Act, Fund Rules and Income TaxAct and any other relevant legislative requirements.
    • Maintain relationships with internal departments.

    What will make you successful in this role?

    • Matric/Grade 12

    • Knowledge of updating of contributions will be an advantage

    • Grade 12 with 2 to 3 years related experience.
