    Fraud and Risk Data Analyst

    What will you do?

    • Santam Direct have a career opportunity available for a Fraud and Risk Data Analyst base in Cape Town, Bellville. The Fraud and Risk Data Analyst role will monitor and track performances within the business, to identify any risk and/or leakage, which may prevent the overall business to achieve profitable growth and other required targets and outcomes set for the year and beyond as per Santam Direct future fit strategy.

    What will make you successful in this role?

    • To provide the Strategic Data Manager and other business areas with data analytical outcomes using the SAS Viya, SAS, Business objects, Qlikview and Qliksense, with a specific focus on data driven findings and outcomes, for quicker and effective decision making, improved risk control identification, with the main focus on profitable and sustainable growth of Santam Direct. This role will work closely with the Santam Direct Management team, Strategic Data team, Underwriting, Claims functions & Actuarial to develop and maintain data sets, performing predictive analysis, mitigating any risk trends by using the SAS Viya visual tool effectively and other relevant systems. This role will further assist with automation specifications to reports which can be automated.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    •     A completed Business Science or Bcom degree with Mathematics or Statistics as majors 
    •     SAS (preferential)
    •     Qlikview and Qliksense experience
    •     Minimum of 5 years Short Term Insurance experience (Direct Insurance preferred)
    •     Experience with Fraud Investigation advantageous
    •     Experience working with client administration systems (Mainframe and PC) and data warehousing  
    •     Strong data management skills 
    •     Logical and analytical ability

    Reinsurance Controller

    What will make you successful in this role?
    Financial performance reporting

    •     Financial reports for the fronting, inter group/inter SBU transactions.
    •     Compiling of Financial Performance Reports for Stakeholders.
    •     FSB Reporting
    •     External audit reporting 

    Review and approve technical accounts and payments to ensure the completeness of transactions to RI brokers/reinsurers.

    • Assisting with the implementation of IFRS and Reinsurance Optimization Projects.
    • Validation and control function of monthly reconciliations.
    • Verify variances of underwriting results against budgets.
    • Management of Reinsurance Contracts.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE     

    • Matric
    • Relevant accounting degree or Reinsurance Qualification
    • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar role.

     

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    • Reinsurance knowledge - understanding of reinsurance terminology and interpretation  of  contracts. 
    • Financial management knowledge.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication
    • MS Office suite with advanced Excel skills

    Call Center Manager 2

    What will you do?

    • Santam Direct has a career opportunity available for a Manager: Client Engagement, who will be base in Cape Town, Bellville. This position is accountable for the management of 5 to 6 First line Managers and 55-65 service consultants and need to manage operating expenses. All consultants and managers are in advice giving positions and are Reps on the Santam Rep register in terms of FAIS legislation. Lead and manage a team to deliver on cross and upselling targets, productivity and retentions targets as well as manage SLA’s on all interactions. The Manager: Client Engagement will be required to ensure adequate staffing to support growth objectives from a policy administration point of view. Responsible for all client experiences across the value chain within Client Engagement business unit.

    What will make you successful in this role?
    Principle accountabilities

    • Service – ensure that all existing clients are serviced in line with their policy type and within SLA. By ensuring capacity. planning & adequate staffing on a daily, weekly & monthly basis.
    • Client retention – ensure churn targets are met in line with the retention of existing clients book. 
    • Manage campaigns for existing clients with the intent to cross & upsell.

    Qualifications and Experience 

    • Insurance Programmes (NQF 5)
    • Personal lines experience 
    • FAIS Compliant
    • RE1 or RE5 Certificate
    • At least 3-5 years experience in a contact centre environment
    • At least 5 years management or management experience
