    Junior Grain Grader - Rooiwal

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with grain handling by grading different commodities.
    • Assists with the offloading, storage, receiving and dispatching of grain by adhering to instructions and following standard procedures.
    • Ensures that silo, store areas and general premises are clean through observations and inspections, and by adhering to instructions.
    • Ensures that machinery, product handling equipment and gutters are in working condition.
    • Make sure that the control board is operated correctly and effectively.
    • Assists with general office administration.
    • Ensures that the workplace complies with health and safety regulations.
    • Contributes to loss control efforts in the silo through systematic loss control inspections.
    • Assist with Control board.
    • Assist with administration.
    • Assist with supervision of blue-collar personnel.
    • Assist with Health & Safety Compliance.

    Requirements

    • National Senior Certificate.
    • Valid driver's licence required.

    Key Taks and Responsibilities

    Reception & Customer Service

    • Provide warm, professional front-desk service 
    • Handle enquiries, complaints, and redirection
    • Effective switchboard management
    • Keep reception areas neat and welcoming
    • Support over-the-counter sales transactions

    Administrative Support & Branch Coordination 

    • Coordinate deliveries, collections, and logistics

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • National Senior Certificate;
    • Relevant diploma or certificate in Office Administration, Customer Service, or
    • Business Administration will be advantageous
    • Valid Code 8 (EB) drivers license

    Experience

    • At least 3-5 years in reception or office administration roles, preferably in multi-branch environments

    Responsibilities:

    • Set up and maintain variance reports on all daily test results and oversee follow-up on deviations.
    • Prepare and execute CAPEX projects for the acquisition of new grading instruments at the silos.
    • Liaise with the Quality Manager and Regional Managers to confirm equipment placement according to crop estimates.
    • Oversee the installation, calibration, and maintenance of grading instruments.

    Requirements

    • A relevant post-matric qualification.
    • An FSSC 22000 Food Safety Management System certificate will be advantageous.
