The purpose of this role is to prepare samples for chemical analysis in a way that meets the correct quality and production requirements.
Key responsibilities:
Report all incidents within shift.
Ensure that work area is tidy and safe to work in.
Attend and participate in green area meetings.
Perform SLAM and ensure that Continuous Risk Assessment books are signed.
Participate in inspections monthly together with the SHE rep.
Perform tasks according to the current Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
Conduct quality checks as required and address checks that fall out of specification by taking necessary action.
Sort and mill samples to specification.
Flux samples according to procedure.
Load samples in furnace and pour when fusion is complete.
Deslag and cupellation of lead buttons.
Pick prills and dissolve using a microwave.
Deslag and milling of nickel buttons.
Fuse samples with sodium peroxide, leach and make up to correct volume.
Use a gas pycnometer to determine density.
Ensure that consumables are collected from the store timeously so that work is not halted.
Qualifications:
Matric with Maths and Science.
Basic computer literacy.
Role-specific knowledge:
Understanding and competency of the routine laboratory procedure.

Acting as a support for our teams, some of your duties will include:
Manual operation of equipment, which includes operating of valves, manual sampling as well as stopping the operation if working conditions are unsafe
Perform inspections on equipment
Start and stop equipment where required
This is role is in the processing department at a B2 level and reports into the Process Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Grade 12 / NQF 4 – Mathematics and Physical Science with a minimum of 40% on each subject

Job Description:
You will be responsible to oversee the Contact Centre/Walk-In Centre (Platinum) within EMEA ES Global Shared Service including the effective integration of processes within GSS to ensure efficient and effective resolution of customer queries within the GSS scope of service offerings as well as the associated processes of employee engagement and inbound document management.
Oversee the day-to-day customer service operation in Thabazimbi and Rustenburg Region (Precious metals, Base metals and Waterval Smelters). Travelling will be required between the operations.
Capacity management to ensure there is always a GSS presence at all Walk-In Centres.
Provides performance evaluations, feedback, and identifies and supports workforce development opportunities
Assists with the resolution of issues escalated beyond and escalates issues and Incidents to the GSS resolvers, as appropriate
Monitors and reports escalation and resolution processes for customer queries
Continually monitor coverage and response times to achieve Service Level Agreement (SLA) metrics and take remedial action where required
Control and monitor systems operations and compliance to policies by; identifying trends, investigation of potential problems and improvement opportunities
Work with the CE Coordinator in the assessment of customer feedback surveys
Encourage the development of a trusting and mutual respect relationship with customers and stakeholders

Purpose:
Assist in the roll out and effective implementation of all the Zimele Programmes across the Hubs.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the programme Implementation Manager in the effective implementation of the Zimele strategy and manage / monitor rollout of programme at hubs.
Assist the programme Implementation Manager to manage the relationship between Zimele and delivery partner(s).
Assist in managing internal AA stakeholders on behalf of delivery partner and help resolve issues on the ground.
Compile reports to internal AA stakeholders and external stakeholders.
Assist regulatory reports to Anglo Business units around BBBEE & Mining Charter.

Under the leadership of the General Accounting Supervisor, complete the following activities in accordance with agreed service levels:
Responsibility for month-end close activities.
Update and complete SOP’s process documents.
On a monthly basis process all relevant transactions in the general ledger with special note on overdue items and making appropriate disclosures to the General Accounting Supervisor.
Responsible for processing all journal entries into relevant ledgers and submission to the General Accounting Supervisor for review in a timely manner.
Ensure the integrity of the balance sheet by preparing general ledger balance sheet reconciliations, investigate and report on financial discrepancies and overdue items.
Complete and submit all relevant statutory and regulatory returns performed by the accounting team.
Execute escalation process to support effective service delivery.
Assist in the preparation of the KPI reports.
Support deadline management
Follow up and ensure that audit requests are submitted
Focus on recording, completeness and measurement of all transactions
Ensure controls are adhered to and executed
Drive adherence to safety.
Any other tasks as and when required.
This role is at a Band 7 level reporting to the General Accounting Supervisor.
