    CAME Accountant & Special Projects

    Description

    We are looking for a talented CAME Accountant & Special Projects to join our team specializing in Finance for our Corporate/CBS Segment in Johannesburg South Africa.

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

    • Analyzes, records and reports accounting transactions in a timely manner

    • Prepares general ledger entries and account reconciliations.

    • Responds to inquiries received from management, internal and external auditors, Sarbanes-Oxley audit group and others regarding financial results, special reporting requests, etc.

    • Maintains strong controls and compliance to Cummins policies and minimum internal controls.

    • Protects organization's value by keeping information private.

    • Manages and/or executes critical projects and initiatives.

     

    To be successful in this role you will need the following:

    • Understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and IFRS - Evaluates accounting standards to record transactions in compliance with requirements and company policies; assesses the accounting requirements and plant to find out the implications on the business and communicate to stakeholders with varying financial knowledge.

    • Financial Regulations Acumen - Evaluates applicable regulations for the financial area of focus, such as tax, banking, pension, local accounting to ensure underlying transactions are recorded in compliance with applicable regulations; explains key requirements and purpose of regulations and implications to the business to inform and educate relevant stakeholders.

    • Understanding of Financial Internal Controls - Leverages internal control framework by assessing internal controls and developing remediation plans to mitigate financial reporting risks and respond to changing business needs.

    • Financial Analysis skills - Interprets financial data by analyzing trends, variances, opportunities and risks to provide insight to stakeholders regarding financial impact to drive business improvement; evaluates financial results against targets to communicate conclusions to all stakeholders; ensures integrity of financial data by investigating variances and establishing corrective actions to resolve identified issues.

    Application Engineer

    Description

    We are looking for a talented Application Engineer to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Distribution Business Segment in Johannesburg, South Africa.

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

    • Application of and applying Cummins products and knowledge

    • Develop and compile technical-commercial responses to RFQs

    • Drives utilization of Cummins tools and processes (i.e.PZ, Quick serve, SFC, segment focus etc)

    • Develops specifications for turnkey project solutions

    • Conducts value engineering analysis

    To be successful in this role you will need the following:

    • Qualification: Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering Degree. - BSc or BTech Engineering qualification (Ideal) or National Diploma (min)

    • Generator & EPC experience, 5-10 years

    • Designing and execution experience within a construction environment, 5-10 years

    Description

    We are looking for a talented ROT (Africa/Middle East) Logistics Leader to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Corporate/Cummins Business Services Segment in Johannesburg, South Africa.

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

    • You manage the Warehouse Operations in Africa, enabling Sales and Service objectives for the various Cummins Businesses in Africa/Middle East (AME) through an agile and flexible Supply Chain;

    • You ensure internal and external Customers' expectations and market requirements in Africa are met (Middle East at a later stage);

    • You ensure Supply Chain Optimization creating common Supply Chain processes and procedures by establishing collaborative business partner relationships;

    • You approach continuous improvement opportunities strategically and tactically with your team and achieve performance targets through Logistics Solutions;

    • You work closely together with the other Logistics pillars: Transportation, Packaging and Trade Operations and as a tandem alongside AME Planning;

    • You lead the Logistics integration work in AME, building one Regional Logistics Team in Africa as integral part of the EMEA Regional Operating Team.

     

    To be successful in this role you will need the following:

    • Significant experience in Supply Chain for at least 8-10 years;

    • Strong relationship building and Communication skills;

    • Be Customer-centric and Solution-/Result-oriented;

    Cross Border Key Account Manager

    Description

    We are looking for a talented Cross Border Key Account Manager to join our team specializing in Sales for our Distribution Business Segment in Johannesburg, South Africa / your remote home office.

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

    • Develops, manages and maintains customer relation plans for strategic key customers in Angola and Mozambique and works with stakeholders in the business to achieve expected results and deliver value for the customers

    • Manages accounts receivable deliverables including payment terms negotiation in Angola and Mozambique

    • Provides leadership and mentoring to less experienced sales representatives and counter sales specialists

    • Achieves sales targets for dealers in Angola and Mozambique as well as ensuring customer satisfaction

    • International travel up to 45% of the time and manage the performance of channel partners and dealers in Angola and Mozambique

    • Provides input into sales and business development strategy for Angola and Mozambique by providing monthly territory updates

    • 5-10 years Aftermarket, Sales and service experience supporting machinery equipment in the mining/construction industry in Angola and or Mozambique.

    • Skilled in building relationships with customers, managing key accounts and being able to handle conflict with customers.

    • Communication - Fluent in English, Portuguese (Advantage)

    • Strong customer service skills are essential.
