    Factory Manager

    Overview: 

    As a Factory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all operations within the manufacturing facility. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of production processes. You will be accountable for ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, managing resources effectively, and fostering a safe and productive work environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Production Management:

    • Coordinate and manage all aspects of the production process.
    • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands while optimising resource utilisation.
    • Monitor production output and quality standards to ensure adherence to specifications and regulatory requirements.
    • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.

    Resource Allocation and Management:

    • Manage human resources, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of production staff.
    • Oversee inventory control, procurement of raw materials, and maintenance of equipment to support uninterrupted production.
    • Optimize resource allocation to minimize waste and maximize output while maintaining cost-effectiveness.

    Quality Assurance:

    • Establish and enforce quality control measures throughout the production process to meet customer expectations and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality management systems.
    • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any deviations or non-conformities promptly.

    Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:

    • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility among staff by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
    • Investigate and address any incidents or hazards promptly to prevent reoccurrence and ensure a safe working environment.

    Budgeting and Cost Management:

    • Prepare and manage the production budget, forecasting expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
    • Monitor production costs and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency and reduce overheads.
    • Analyse financial performance metrics and reports to identify areas for improvement and drive profitability.

    Communication and Collaboration:

    • Liaise with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and logistics, to coordinate production schedules and address customer requirements.
    • Foster effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams to resolve issues and achieve common goals.
    • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on production performance, challenges, and opportunities.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Matric certificate
    • Own transport (not negotiable)
    • Ideally already living in Cape Town
    • Speaks both English & Afrikaans (3rd African Language an advantage)
    • Proven experience in specific manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
    • In-depth knowledge of industry production processes, machinery, and equipment.
    • Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse workforce.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in budgeting, cost analysis, and financial management.
    • Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory requirements in the industry.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization.

    Customer Service Agent / Internal Sales

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Grade 12
    • Full proficiency on Microsoft office: Excel, word, Power point, email
    • Bilingual, English and Afrikaans(3rd African language beneficial)
    • Must have experience working on an ERP system.
    • Basic knowledge of export processes will be an advantage.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Processing of sales orders

    • Ensure that orders are captured correctly within the specified deadlines.

    • Follow up and manage production orders and feedback to customers.

    Processing quotations

    • receiving and processing of quotation requests and ensuring timeous response to customers
    • processing of payments received for quotations.

    Junior Facilities Manager

    Requirements:

    • Matric Certificate.
    • Courses in Property
    • Property development is considered an additional advantage.
    • At least 4-6 years minimum experience in a variety of Operational Services and Building Services roles.

    Responsibilities: 

    • Formal annual inspections of buildings on site with findings captured on the prescribed document.
    • Monthly visual inspections of buildings and site in general.
    • Informal visits to tenants.
    • To act as the custodian of Operational Services and Building Services policies, procedures, and service level agreements and ensure that they are implemented.
    • Controlling and planning preventative maintenance of the portfolio.
    • Reaction and close out to reactive maintenance tasks.
    • Maintain the asset value by doing proper life cycle management.
    • Deliver value-adding services to clients and meet and exceed customer expectations of service delivery by building a culture of high-performing teams.
    • Ensure that quality of service delivery is maintained at high levels through enforcing agreed internal controls.
    • Meet organisational strategy through required change management and communication with customers.
    • Meet and exceed customer expectations of service delivery by identifying needs, timeous response to queries, and providing appropriate feedback.

    • Ensure robust planning is in place to deliver on objectives by timely review and approval of plans and budgets.
    • Manage operational risks through proactive identification of potential risks and putting in plans to mitigate the risks.

    • Improve productivity and operations by ensuring effective use of resources and effective application of systems, processes, and practices.
    • OHSA regulations to be adhered to as well as knowledge about acts etc.
    • Be familiar with and have a vast knowledge of the different SANS regulations about the built environment.
    • Also sensitivity to wetlands, rivers, and Eco parks as well as landscaping to be exercised continuously.

    • 3 year Degree in Building Management. (Management Diploma is highly recommended.)

    Health & Safety Officer/Store Manager

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12
    • Health & Safety certifications and qualifications
    • 3+ years’ experience in a Health and Safety role, in an industry
    • 1 + years’ experience in stock management, handling, and control/warehouse experience
