    Site Contract Manager - Rustenburg

    JOB STATEMENT

    Build and maintain active long-term relationship with key decision makers at customer site level and continuously promote Metso’s value adding offering. Create a healthy business with high customer satisfaction.

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for managing daily delivery of O&RCM (Operation & Reliability Centred Maintenance) on site
    • Project upgrades and modernizations
    • Responsible for the Health & Safety Culture on O&RCM
    • Responsible for delivery according to the scope of contract and any deviations from the agreement
    • Responsible to ensure process compliance of site O&RCM
    • Responsible for all communications i.e. performance reviews, daily, weekly and monthly reporting as well as escalation of issues
    • Give input to sales opportunities from a perspective of delivery and capacity management including up-sales and renewals of existing agreements
    • Managing the O&M service and operational team
    • Managing the supplier/contractor SLA (Service Level Agreement)
    • Managing the site stakeholder relationship including the customer, suppliers and service providers

    Requirements & Competences

    • Safety mindset
    • Experience from delivering large service agreements and site or production management
    • Basics in financials and financial controlling
    • Good people management skills
    • Project management skills understanding Metso technologies and service offerings and processes
    • Basics with logistics and site supply
    • Position require appointee to be based and operational on site

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • Process or technical qualification (preferred) 
    • Supply Chain Management experience in the areas of Logistics and Procurement
    • Collaboration with Logistic Service Providers
    • Leading a team of operational and maintenance teams
    • Relevant industry knowledge including international business relations.
    • Maintenance planning and scheduling
    • Planning and organising risk management

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Project management skills in global and multi-cultural environment
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to travel frequently
    • Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under stress and meet the deadlines
    • Must be capable of effectively and accurately working on several projects at one time, and (organizing, prioritizing tasks and working in a fast-paced environment

    Mechanical Filter Technician

    JOB STATEMENT

    This position is responsible for providing Metso customers with professional technical support for its products. This position will coordinate and work closely with the LCS (Life Cycle Services) Management teams to assure a common understanding/application of technical support and information to support and provide excellent customer service on Metso Equipment.

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Work as member of a maintenance team for reactive and preventative maintenance and repairs
    • Fitting ad repairing of mechanical parts of plant machinery
    • Conduct mechanical maintenance work of chutes, floatation cells, conditioners, pumps, pipes, grinding mills, thickeners, filters, conveyors and other crucial areas of the plant to ensure continues operation
    • Perform all work in a planned and organised manner, follow instructions and plans and complete work on schedule
    • Ensure that work performed meet all statuary requirements and company standards
    • Housekeeping duties of the maintenance area
    • In cooperation with the other maintenance personnel ensure the optimisation plant performance and continues development of site maintenance
    • Ensure a safe work environment and compliance to all SHEQ regulations and standards during the work and ensure compliance with statuary and other regulations as are required by law
    • Continually review and where necessary suggest changes that will improve the department occupational health, safety, quality and efficiency performance
    • Other duties as directed by line Manager
    • Maintaining 5S within the working environment
    • Willingness to assist in additional reasonable tasks on hand
    • Maximize performance on all equipment
    • Complete job cards, logbooks, and inspection reports
    • Conduct safety inspections

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Grade 12 (Matric)
    • Trade tested Mechanical Technician red seal
    • Three (3) to four (4) years apprenticeship program
    • Minimum 5 years field service experience on Metso equipment, Mining equipment, and Larox Filters
    • Computer literate
    • Understanding our principles of customer relations and interaction
    • Ability to effectively communicate with a drive and performance orientation
    • Ability to work in a team atmosphere

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Leadership and relationship-building qualities, a bias for action, and detail-oriented behaviours are required
    • A self-motivated individual with the ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
    • Good communication, co-operation, and interpersonal skills
    • Strong technical, analytical, and mechanical skills and abilities
    • Exposure to internal and external environmental conditions, noise, hazards
    • Own Transport to and from the site
    • Must reside within the Rustenburg district. And be able to be on-site within 45min from a breakdown callout

    LCS Assistant - Kathu

    JOB STATEMENT

    This position is responsible for providing Metso’s customers with professional technical support of its products.  This position will coordinate and work closely with the Service Business Line Technical Support Teams to assure a common understanding/application of technical support and information to support and provide excellent customer service on Metso Equipment. 

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assures customer and LCS team have access to high quality product and technical support provided in a time frame respectful of Metso’s customers’ sense of urgency.
    • Establishes best practice customer technical support services for Metso equipment.
    • Effectively and accurately install, commissions and maintain Metso equipment.
    • Undertake effective and accurate repairs to Metso equipment and in accordance with Metso Standards.
    • Interpersonal skills are required due to regular interaction and feedback with the customers.
    • Must be able to effectively and accurately work in a fast-paced environment on several projects simultaneously, with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
    • Positive customer relations, communication and delegation skills are essential.
    • Experience and capabilities enable carrying out responsibilities with limited direction.
    • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities
    • Inspect, install, adjust and maintain mechanical machines and equipment on site.
    • Component rebuild & replacement.

    • Ensure work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner and provide input directed at improving the safety, efficiency and overall effectiveness and Reliability of equipment
    • Provide input to Maintenance and Reliability improvement initiatives
    • Recommend job plan and tool changes to Maintenance Supervisors
    • Safely operate specific units of mobile equipment including overhead and mobile crane, forklifts, etc.
    • Follow all plant specific Policies E.g. No Smoking areas, lockout, Confined Space, Working at Heights, PPE, Etc.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Computer Literate
    • Understanding and principles of customer relations and interaction
    • Grade 12
    • Minimum 5 years’ field service experience on mining process equipment (Crushers / Mills) - Essential
    • Ability to effectively communicate with a drive and performance orientation
    • Ability to work in a team atmosphere
    • Knowledge of Mine Health and Safety Act
