    Professor/Associate Professor: Psychology - Health Sciences

    CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

    • To facilitate learning, teaching and research with under- and post-graduate psychology students.
    • To contribute specifically within the area of Counselling and Clinical Psychology, both to student development and to the Department itself.
    • To process and administer all aspects in the area of Counselling and Clinical Psychology within the Department.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Leadership in the facilitation of academic development,
    • Leadership in facilitating learning, including e-learning,
    • Development, revision and evaluation of learning, teaching and support materials,
    • Provision of teaching, mentoring and clinical supervision,
    • Provision of research supervision at post-graduate and doctoral levels,
    • Developing and managing individual and group research,

    Lecturer: Mathematics & Applied Mathematics - Science

    Associate Professor: Visual Arts

    CORE PURPOSE OF JOB
    The Department of Visual Art seeks a visual art theoretician with a sound academic publishing record to assist in bolstering the Departments theoretical sustainability and development.

    The purpose of this post is to take responsibility for managing and developing theoretical and practice-based research endeavors at under- and postgraduate level within the Department of Visual Arts, fueling the throughput of PhD students the School aims to take on in the near future. These Masters and PhD research undertakings should target bringing with them elevated levels of academic publications, conference papers and book chapters along the student’s/researcher’s journey to graduation.

    Furthermore, the position will fulfil a pivotal role in underpinning theoretical learning and teaching opportunities at foundation/first year levels.   

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Co-development, management and delivery of the of theoretical modules at undergraduate, Honours, Masters and Doctoral levels.
    • Co-development and delivery of lectures in Visual Studies and Interdisciplinary Studies modules at under and postgraduate levels.
    • Supervision of postgraduate students at Honours, Masters and Doctoral levels.
    • Conduct research and contribute to the growth of the Department’s creative and theoretical output portfolio by sustaining and generating accredited academic publications.
    • Perform a pivotal role at underpinning the process of theoretical development especially at introductory/first year levels of learning and teaching.

    • Minimum ten years’ experience in either teaching/lecturing/research experience in the relevant field or discipline at least five of which must be in postgraduate teaching, research and engagement.

    Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in English and Literature

    CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

    The core purpose of this academic post is to teach English literature (and not linguistics) at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the Department of Language and Literature. To particularly facilitate the teaching and learning processes, practices and research in the English Section and the department. Preference will be given to equity candidates.

    Teaching and Learning:

    Senior Lecturer level:

    • Is to create, develop and facilitate the acquisition of musical knowledge and skills by individuals in order that they can function effectively within the music profession and as productive members of the broader society.

    • Has preferably contributed to the creation of knowledge and music performance or has the potential to contribute by virtue of publications or appropriate creative outputs, and the ability to supervise postgraduate candidates.
    • Proficiency in maintaining and managing Music Technology studios and equipment.   

     
    REQUIREMENTS

    • In order to be considered for appointment to this post, candidates should have a specialism in Music Technology and /or industry related experience in the field of Music Technology, with a master’s degree and supervision experience.
